I don't know, I've seen a crap ton of M249 support guys. After the SCAR-H nurf, Engineer weapons are easily outclassed by weapons in the Assault and Support class. F2000 is like a god weapon compared to anything the Engineer gets. And they can heal themselves.

Nice, I agree. I pretty much use sound to find the enemy, I hardly ever use my minimap.

Would be nice if they would fix the delay before you can shoot/move after you are revived. You should be able to start shooting and be able to move immediately after you are revived rather just standing still helpless for a second. It's soo upsetting to have the guy in your sights, but you have to wait to fire or move.

the M249 is only good in HC game where it take less bullets to kill,. like all LMG in BF3 and from remembrance BFBC2 if you keep firing the bullet don't kill, you have to make small burst to avoid this annoying bug
As I said before the M60 sucks with his low firing ( tac a tact ac a tac )

I got the game 2 days ago. I'd played BF2 and BFBC and was decent but nothing special. My first night I only played for about 45 mins and did fine. Last night I played for an hour and half and got raped the whole time. Spawn kills, 700-0 matches where my side couldn't effectively get out of spawn, out of nowhere knifings, and general suckiness. It wasn't much fun.

Perhaps my biggest (apparently common) gripe is that I can't bind things to my mouse buttons like I do usually.

COME ON EA, we are not stupid those big Cheater & co have web site they use Paypal, with all the money EA give to paypal , I can beleive they can stop them. If Intel manage to get exclusivity for a long time with Dell, I can't beleive EA can do so with Paypal.....

This may have been in the thread earlier, but what servers does everyone typically play on? I tend to stick to conquest, but haven't really found a good "home" yet.

The LMG's like the M249 and such are crazy powerful on HC servers. Two bullets is all you need to kill anyone up to like 80 meters, its a bit OP I think at least for HC servers.

I have more kills with the M249 than any other gun in BF3, it kills just fine in vanilla, as you said, burst burst burst burst, fire for days like that with ext mag

Yea I'm the asshole in maps with the 249 with 3.4 scope + extended mag + suppressing fire spraying it all over the map to lay down cover for my other teammates. It's amazing how powerful it can be when you're at a good vantage point. A friend and I once traded off firing between reloads, laying down cover fire in Seine at the bridge area, we racked up like 40-50 kills each I believe, we got kicked later for "griefing" lol :p

I confirm this and thank you for your useful tip. It really buffed the performance. I play on 4 years old Dual Core E6750 + ATI 5870 and with tweaks listed below on 1920x1200 on LOW settings game runs like butter - I can play competevly. I even stopped considering PC upgrade to i5 2500k.

1. Overclock E6750 to 3.2 GHz
2. Set BF3 priority to "Above Normal"
3. Kill all not needed processes in Windows
4. Disable Aero Desktop in Windows 7
5. Kill explorer process
6. Close server browser while playng BF3


Sure , it takes about 1-2 minutes to do steps 2 to 6 but it also save me upgrade money and I can wait till i5 prce goes down :)

I beleive since I have pretty decent ATI card I can rise some non CPU related graphical settings like AA to High without compromising the preformance. I will try this later.

What exactly does setting the priority for the CPU do? Does this increase temps?

I get really tired of the "But it's like that in real life!" excuse.

If these games were true to real life, you'd be down with 2 shots, there would be no reviving, you would not have the ability to repair vehicles on the move with nothing but a blow torch, etc. etc.

Again, just because it's like that in real life doesn't it mean it HAS to be like that in the game. If it's unbalanced, then it needs to get fixed, regardless of whether or not it's "realistic".

But yes, it's nice to hear these guys whining.

Nope, it should not. It makes BF3 run faster but other processes in Windows run slower by providing to BF3 more processor time. This is my understanding. Though, I"m not sure why BF3 runs faster since there is almost non processor time used by other programs anyway.
 
Alot of people buy these games for realism you have to admit that. In a game like BF the target audience is people who want to imagine themself in the battlefield so it is a very relevant arguement. That is why we also have a hardcore mode which sort of a sensationalized way of saying realism mode. There are lots of things in the game that make for horible game play but are more realistic and no one asks for them to be removed. As I said before the only time you hear people making comments is when something goes against their particular play style.

The big arguement against IRNV is in fact realism, people think it is too useful to be realistic, and people want the game to be more realistic and lame like real life where some one will kill you if they go hide in a random bush and you do not see them.
 
Anyone hear of eyefinity support getting better soon? It got a lot better after the last big patch but after that I still crash out most of the time in multi if eyefinity is enabled.

so it's explain the no recoil ..... I think the consols have a kind of aimboot build in BF3

is it him who suck or the consol vs PC , because I play 3 hours more than him and I have 2 x his score ....
 
yea consoles have a built in aimbot.
they only think is left and right (or at all) so the game helps them out.
its an aimbot to make sure that little billy doesn't cry to mommy the big bad pc person was owning his sorry ass.

AA did a test in their 2.0 days and determined that consoles could not play with pc players.

now the companies that make money off consoles don't mind a little help to get that money.

The main change is that you do not lose spawn protection from looking around. Which in theory will prevent the issue you experienced.

I actually think the spawn protection is too long now at 2 seconds with this change, especially when applied to spawning on squad members and to some extent mobile points. Also more so for vanilla than hardcore. Or does spawn protection only apply to spawning on flags?

I don't think beacon and squad spawns should have any protection at all since you can see where you are spawning in before spawning.
 
Game is officially broken for me. Nothing I do allows the game to run more then 5min.

I've seen it in person, it looks like shit there too. On a nice 1080p screen to boot. Looks like PC BF3 on all low with no AA or AF and frame drops.

I tried heavy Caspian Border map with my old configuration and tweaks explained above and it is smooth on 1920x1200 on LOW settings with 8xAA. It looks gorgeous - better then BC2 :)

Are there any other Video settings I can rise that don't tax the CPU?

BF3 on low ON pc looks a lot better than ps3 speaking from first hand experience :p
 
I play 1 hour with my son here the results

Can't connect on the first 3 servers we try, l jam on loading level.
Finally we find a server
On the first server I froze in the game when I spam, can't even suicide, I have to quit
On the second one my son was switched to the other team in the middle of the game by the auto balancing ( half of peoples was not eve in a squad, you don't dissipate a squad , you choose the looner first )
On the third game, my son bf3.exe crash

On the forth see the post down, the admin kill the session

And the only thing Dice do is improve the helicopter because their employees like to base rapes with them …..


I'm sick and tire to be beta tester in each game we purchase.

Some times I have this forewer message "Loading level". what helps is to switch to the game window and wait there. It will unjam in most cases.

Otherwise I play on a very old PC and do not have all the problems you are experiencing there. May be it is due to bad network connection?
 
look at the SH_ _ T .............................. 2 x SS , one of my son and 1 from me , same time same server, the admin was in the loosing team and he kill the session We was first and second with around 10 k each , happen to me 2 times today and 2 times yesterday, we really need a server ranking

We are connected on 2 different router, and 2 different ISP provider

I found this to work also. I get the "Loading Level" thing a lot, and switching to the game does seem to work pretty much every time.
