Battlefield 3 - $32.99 (Last Chance to Pre-order!)

And maybe you should just shut the fuck up because you obviously don't know what you are talking about.

Woah, no need to get your panties in a bunch, I think cjhatesu's response to you was enough, but I can guarantee that two year old article you referenced only occurred with out of region keys or keys that needed to be activated through VPS. ;)

Otherwise, I'm sure you would see at least one of the cases that article mentioned here: http://www.trustpilot.com/review/cdkeysdiscount.com

I agree it isn't a good idea to buy an out of region key that needs VPS to activate, and an honest distributor will list it if this is the case.

So you can't activate this on steam? I don't have origin, and would prefer not to have another game client.

LOL. It was already discussed for ages that EA is not offering BF3 on Steam at all, and if you're going to miss out on awesome games because it uses a different download service (which is a couple MB) and never needs to run after the initial download, then just lol.

I could never understand why people who have no problem buying $300+ video cards need to save a few bucks by buying Russian cd keys.

Way to support you hobby!

Some of us wait for $80 deals after mail in rebates for graphics cards, and search for game deals. If you like to spend more, why even post in this thread? Wait... why are you in this board...

Also, I do support game developers. I don't support shoddy CEO's and publisher's making ridiculous profit, and I guarantee the programmers and designers are making the same small portion whether a game publisher decides to charge $20 or $50.

I bought from this place, got BF3 Limited Edition for $42 after the Facebook coupon.

Activated on Origin and preloaded ready to go. Who the fuck cares if I am supporting America or not - I got bills to pay and mouths to feed so im always looking for the best deal.

I have bought numerous games from these types of places and never had a single hiccup, if I do their customer service will be happy to send me a new one.

You people need to chillax, this is a forum for [H]otdeals - not a forum for nerd raging because you want to support "America" lol

What an uberlord douche bag.

It's been said for a long tiem now in almost every thread that this game requires Origin to play and you have to use their software. No way around it, I am sure even if it comes to Steam it will be this way still.

No need to call someone a douchebag because you couldn't do a quick search.

Usually sites like this buy overseas keys at a huge discount and resell them for a profit. The keys are routinely banned by Steam. I have no idea how EA feels about this practice, you could have a working key forever or it could get banned at some point.

For what it's worth, my BF:BC2, Dragon Age and Mass Effect 2 keys I bought from ye olde chinaman on eBay a year or two ago still work perfectly fine with Origin.

I thought I would have to wait until midnight to play, but it looks like launching the Campaign is working, so here I go :D

And sorry whoever asked how long this last chance ended, I only meant it was a last chance to "pre-order", because after tonight you're just ordering.

Last time I bought a cd key for Modern Warfare 2 it didn't work properly and I was refused a refund. Fuck this "deal"

Buyer beware.

Everyone's a big boy here and can decide if they want to go this route or not. If the keys are from legitimately bought and paid for copies of the game, whether they're from a local retailer or an overseas bulk buyer shouldn't matter. As for "buy American" ... could be the Russian seller buys American products with his profits, or Amazon/Newegg employees buy Japanese electronics, or an American product assembled in China with Taiwanese parts.

IMO the problem here is that these sellers operate in a "gray market" of questionable legality. Something that proves your copy is legit and a refund guarantee (backed up by actual refunds) would go a long way. Looks like they promise that but I'm not sure it's delivered 100% of the time. The fact that keys have been banned before means there is a risk here - small maybe, but non-zero. Caveat emptor, YMMV etc.

Bought and downloading now...hey it went through paypal and purchases are protected through it, even put a stipulation in that theis continues to work and is indeed region free and official. Time to let my CF'd 6870's stretch their legs a little :D

Have been keeping my eyes on this thread, seems like it's time to pull the trigger.......when I get home.

If ANYONE here gets their "legit" cdkey banned from EA or Origin, please report here so we all know not to buy from this wickedly cheap and awesome place again... I will too, if mine gets banned.

So Report back after you cannot "Report in" ;)

do you really think anyone will admit being a fool?

I rolled the dice (/pun)...and wow...Origin is downloading BF3 at 20Mbit...dazam...I love Steam, but it never downloads this fast ;)

This -----------^ untouchable is right for the most part.

The keys (and companies who run these "cdkey" websites) ARE NEVER in America or any legit country. It's usually China based, or Russian based.

No thanks, my $$$ stays in America when it can (for legit and reputable products, even if it costs a few bucks more)

And i have seen a website recently with BF3 at $17.99 per key.... I cared not to share it [H]ere, for the same reasons I mentioned already. Go america, or go home. :D

Lol, what happened to BUY AMERICAN, GIT-R-DONE!!!!111!1?

I didn't actually order it........ yet. That's what I meant. I am waiting (and cannot download anything right now, slow connection this week),

but the "the keys are not made in America, dummy" comments above made me think twice about if its still legit, or if its not. I am definitely getting "on the fence'' but I think I'll wait to see if anything bad happens with these "foreign" keys :D -- EA will definitely notice soon, as this game is definitely one of the best sellers of the year and their main "bread and butter"

I haven't ordered from these yet, but they are never in America..... look it up, all of them are usually in Europe, China or Russia. Like I said before too... I found one for 17 p, so why would I pay $30+ if they are both evenly "sketchy"

edit: (((HERE IS THE CHEAPEST UNCONFIRMED key site I found... anyone try it? http://www.gamekeyfinder.com/games/Battlefield_3.html

They have it for $26.27~ USD for it there, but I am still on the fence as nobody has talked about it at all

I have done this before, and it worked without an issue...have not tried it with this game yet though. The site that was posted for 24.95, you don't get the key until the 27th.

Nah man, they released it yesterday 10/24/2011 it says in the comments.... but like I said, anyone can post comments on the internet (scammers included).

Question for me is, why is EA giving keys to other countries CHEAPER than the US and UK? That is a little screwed up if you ask me.

Yea, well they have the limited edition in stock but that's pretty expensive, it was $33 yesterday for the limited edition and $23 a couple of days ago for the standard edition.

Doesnt MB means megabytes? And Mb is megabit?

someone correct me :p origin must be using the letters wrong

That's easy. Look at the average household income for most of South East Asia and Eastern Europe. It's software - they rape the haves and give it away to the have-nots, and they STILL make out like bandits.

But isn't that technically illegal for them to do?

And more importantly, isn't that discrimination and sort of like a monopoly?

I mean, what if they ban all the russian keys used in America for some reason, but I technically lived in Russia when I got the game, and then moved over here to the US?

This makes me feel shafted for buying through American stores big time, but I'm still skeptical

Hey guys, did the deal from the OP. with the cdface code.

Just did it 5 minutes ago, got the cdkey instantly after I submitted the paypal. Even got it before paypal sent me a confirmation. Here is what was emailed to me. The game is downloading now. Obviously I blacked out the keycode for all you jokers out there

WTF are you talking about its a video game not electricity or something you need.

If you lived in Russia or some of these Asian countries odds are you wouldn't be able to afford the computer that you are typing on now or the pot that you just smoked.

I got the regular version, not limited edition..what does that mean for me when playing with friends?

If the server loads one of the 4 new maps, I get dropped?

I lived in Russia and I know that companies selling games there for a long time faced a choice - sell the game for about the same price the counterfeit CD/DVD sells or lose the sale to pirates.
Right now the situation has improved a bit, so for example Battlefield 3 limited edition retails for 999 roubles there, that's about 32 USD. Of course there are few stores that may sell it for less.
And of course there are counterfeit CD/DVDs for 10-15 USD.

In any case, $32 for Russian BF3 key seems legit.

I bit, hopefully there won't be any issues. This is actually one of the only places that has the codes already. My main cd website doesn't send them out until the 27th. I would've bought from origin with my coupon but my coupon wasn't working and those dickheads would not pick up the phone.

So can anyone who bought from here confirm if you got the warfare pack or not?

This is english, I think it's multi-lang.

These sites are GURANTEED the game, not sure how long before they ban if at all.

Ahhh.. that makes sense now.
