I just want what they said they'd give, and i understand that they will, but they didn't do it correctly and within the said time window, so it's not easy to be patient.

This, basically... as far as "getting perspective" aldamon, shouldn't you be busy at a church? There are far greater problems in the world than someone being annoyed at an unfulfilled product they paid for.
 
Okay, I'll admit to this. I have trolled this thread in the past. My feelings about BF3 are spewed all over this forum. With that being said..When did we get to this point where consoles share "beta's" with PC? And to get the so called early "beta" (demo) you had to order some special version of a game.See where I'm going with this? It's just stupid. Imagine a casual person that doesn't stay up on all the news but heard his buddies talking about all this BF3 news and how they are going to play the "beta". He wants in, but has no idea how he's going to get everything (all the DLC/map packs/beta/early beta/weapon packs). Can you imagine explaining to a newby the process to go through to get all that? They'd be like :confused: I understand why they are doing business this way, I'm just getting sick of it.
 
argggh looked over at my email tab and saw my unread emails had just gone up by 1... sadly it was just spam from dell

Now you get early access to the "beta" if you gave an additional interest free loan on another game..See where I'm going with this? It's just stupid. I hear ya.

I'm also not too happy about the idea of every publisher starting their own download service. I mean you know if Origin catches on Activision's going to say to themselves "You know, the next Call of Duty might just be a good way to trojan horse in our own marketplace/download manager program!". And then after that it's only a matter of time until Ubisoft does the same with the next Assassin's Creed or Tom Clancy game.

Pretty soon we'll have a different download manager for each publisher, each with different login details, games, and friends list.

Which is why truthfully, I want to wait until BF3 hits Steam. Valve pioneered this whole thing, they risked a lot on this business model and I think they've treated their customers pretty well. I think they should reap the rewards, not EA.
 
Somehow I knew this was going to happen...
Cant catch a break these days.

I leave to class in 2 hrs. I hope to be playing by then...or atleast downloading.
 
Well, just got my "chat", form-pasted reply I saw in someone else's log from EA to me, and then they disconnected me... after I reconnected I asked if it was possible to be given one with my order # and was told "Thank you for contacting EA with your concerns. The keys will be sent out today." I just disconnected at that point.
 
Haha, my brother who was in the alpha has just recieved his pre-order key for the beta, even though he's not pre-ordered the game, ahahaha!

finished the readme to the torrent:

Close Origin.
Download the .torrent file.
Run it under your favorite torrent program.
Once downloaded, unzip file and upload the folder to: C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Battlefield 3 Beta Trial\
Open Origin.
Enter Key to Origin.
Once authenticated, it will start "installing" BF3 Beta.
It will find the files on the folder and if there are no new updates, the game will be ready to play.
If there are updates, let it update, then start when ready.
If there are issues with the install, remove the folder from the Program files folder and restart origin and load the game through Origin download.

I don't have a degree but I do it as my job :p. What he meant, though, is that most of the random wampateers on forums tend to proclaim they are all-knowing and superior, decrying a game as unoptimized and "a cruddy console port" when it won't run on their 10-year-old PC.
 
since it seems like some people are getting the key with the normal medal of honor version on steam ,i suppose someone could buy it and see if you get a key
