I am just glad Red Orchestra 2 is coming out soon. I have serious fears about this game. COD bs has had way too much influence on these types of games.

I really want this game to be good b/c I have a good team to compete with for Pax East. It will suck if this game is lame.

I wish there was a deal on the preorder at origins. I preordered mine at newegg a while ago for 49$ . Early beta acess would be nice
 
I can not WAIT to own this game...AHHHHH! its getting so much closer now... All I have to say is my body will hate me every morning for probably awhile because of this game... yet I still can't wait... FINALLY i can dogfight other jets and use my joystick again... haha

Thing is, the recent Call of Duty games have done an Usain Bolt sprint to 20 million copies. BF3 will be more constant I suppose, but I don't think it will surpass Call of Duty.
 
Because BF3 is getting hyped so much it will be infested with even more of the same shitheads as BFBC2...the same ones who won't move up, won't cap flags, won't defend, defuse or arm M-COMMs, won't move up when they're in a fucking tank, sit in base while they wait for choppers/jets/tanks to spawn and won't do anything else in-game except whore those vehicles, camp at the edge of the map doing nothing, stack and unbalance the teams as soon as one team starts losing so after a round or two one team constantly smashes the other, and keep spamming "U MAD? U MAD?" every time they baserape or use some shitty scrub kit like CG with extra explosive damage against nothing but infantry.

I didn't say they weren't in those games; learn to read a post properly before diving in to blindly defend something. Sure they were there in those games but to less severity and there were more objective-minded players around. If you think they were prevalent in those games then BF3 will be a nightmare when all the COD kiddies come over and bring their bullshit along for the ride.

I don't know what games you've been playing but every online game I've ever played has had a huge amount of pricks. BF3 will be no different, not sure why that is surprising.

Agreed...

If I ever really cared this much about it, I would join a clan that is constantly online...but I really don't care enough...People can play the game however they want in a general server to me...if they want to look at the sky and shoot birds...whatever....that's why I am on a general server, just to have fun...If I am serious, I go play with clans...

No seriously...go play something else if you dont like it. Never understand why people will sit there and bitch and bitch in a game about these kinds of things but dont do the easy thing and quit the game or stfu and enjoy the parts you derive pleasure from.

Stop playing on those servers then. Find a decent clan organized server and you'll likely enjoy yourself. Personally, I had a blast playing on the (-BS-) servers in BF2 and I'll probably look them up again on BF3 release.

Gee, don't think too hard before posting. Actually, don't bother reading the post either. I've made it clear over and over how much I like BFBC2 and BF in general but rather it's the playerbase that ruins it.

Go play BFBC2 a whole heap now and you'll see the demographic that plays it is changing. There are more griefers and morons there, all checking out the BF hype and ruining it for those who actually want to play the game according to the actual game mode we're in.

Except many of the clans that run servers have members who are among the worst offenders, at least those in the "Oceania" region. They figure they can do whatever they want since they pay for the server rental, and it's hard to really argue against that.

Maybe it's just Aussie gamers who are shit...I tried playing on a US server and obviously the lag was pretty bad, but the players generally knew what they should be doing and not deliberately misinterpreting the "play the game your way" motto.

Some definitely are, I'll give you that, but I don't agree that most is accurate based on my personal experiences in BF2. You just need find a server (or likely a few) that is home to a mature clan that promotes teamwork and kicks/bans fucktards. They're out there so good luck finding one (or not if you choose to not play).

I recently got to level 50 in BC2 and didn't really see too many people hanging back in spawn and not moving up. Players knows their objective and I see them go after it. Some hang back only because they're snipers and I can understand that since I do the same thing. But like every team out there, you're going to run into problems. Even if they're not capturing the objective, I'm getting a challenge out of trying to complete the objective myself or with compliant teammates. A lot of Marine's I know always tells me, you learn to shut up, deal with it, and get it done.
 
haha oh you guys why can't we all get along??? honestly yea there will always be those players in every game it's only a matter of finding clean servers to play in and sticking with them. There are WAY less i feel than ones on xbox or PS3... I think younger kids don't have great rigs to be running these games so not as many are on so it decreases our chances where as every kid has a 360 and thats why I don't play mine anymore...

I do it all the time... snipers are all about cover and distance... makes no sense to run up the middle and expose yourself... Although it does suck when everyone is sniping and therefore nobody is able to run up and take a base... I try to be something else if there already is a handful of snipers... unless of course there is a sniper duel going on with each team... those get pretty fun :)
 
Play competitively. Scrim, play matches. That makes for a MUCH better game.

Oh and load up on smoke grenades and grief those camping noobs.
 
Scrimmage. Fight against another team in a private, passworded server. Invitation only. Many servers have communities or teams that play each other. No random douchebags.

ahhh I like the sound of this... I'm planning on starting my own server for BF3 and This would be a great idea once I have regulars on the server and get to know the good guys from the bad...
 
Just got my pre-order in.
This game, out of all the FPS's coming out, just looks like it will blow me away.
I don't care if it is on origin or steam, I just want to play the living hell out of it!

This will be my first "release day" purchase of a massive FPS in years, here's hoping I made the right choice! ;)

Looking forward to getting killed by you all in game lol!
 
haha funny thing is I bet most this forum will be playing it all at the same time when it first comes out... wish I got to know a few people on here earlier to make it more fun... but eh I still have 3 other close buddies that will be playing it so I should have my own squad...
