Hardware MSAA may work in DX11, though. That's a big one.Probably won't be a big difference in DX11, apart from tessellation and advanced DOF. I hope I'm wrong though.

I'm liking the mp, way better than COD:BO.
Benchmarks from Nvidia on the full game show the same presets / settings

If it's stuck on presets in the full game they can fuck right off.
Crysis 2 retail will only be DX9. There will be no DX11.TheBlueChanell said:There will be dx11 effects that will add eye candy if nothing else but the I'd be willing to bet the "Hardcore" we are getting in this demo, isn't the same "Hardcore" that will be available in Retail by the way of DX11.
Avira is going crazy with demo, it keeps thinking there's malware in it >_>
Does anyone know if you can cancel steam pre-orders? So far I am not too impressed with Crysis 2.
Didn't see this posted anywhere. Looks like Crytek will be patching in DX 11 at a later date:

I think we all know what the reason would be.

DX11 effects will be patched in sometime at a later date. (source)
I also read somewhere (but lost the link) that the retail game has encrypted cfg's (to prevent modifications), and no advanced graphics options as it is in the demo.
This is ridiculous.
I FINALLY got an account created on mycrysis.com and was able to login with it at the site. I go to login with it in the game and it STILL says "Nickname invalid." WTF?!
Tired of this bullshit...
I wouldn't even waste your time. It's hardly worth it.
I'll bet this game won't even sell that well on consoles either. I have this feeling that if Crysis 2 was PC exclusive, it would have actually sold as well or even better than being multi-plat right now. Crytek assumes by developing for consoles, they'll make a bucketload of money but its not always guaranteed. Those guys already have plenty of games to play where they can easily overlook this, whereas PC gamers are familiar with Crysis. They've just whored themselves out.
I think by trying to cater to the console crowd, their going to lose a nice chunk of PC sales as well as not a great reception from console gamers anyways. Great job Crytek.
