Some guy found footage from a 1928 Charlie Chaplin movie that shows some lady using what he believes is a cell phone in the background on set. Skip ahead to the 2:40 mark to see the time traveling lady with the cell phone.
 
Yes, using a cell phone...

When there is no fucking cellphone towers in existence at that time.
 
I didn't see the Doctor in that clip, maybe he was hiding.
 
It looks like a person yelling to someone offset while trying to cover her/his mouth.
 
I think this is focusing more on that they had the idea of cell phones back in the day than an actual functioning cell phone.
 
A hand held against the head is no guarantee of a "cell phone in use". For all we know she could be either thinking to herself crazily, or nursing a headache, or maybe that's what she was instructed to do by the director.

This is not conclusive evidence as I did not actually see a cellphone in her hand.
 
Duh guys, it's obviously a 2 way radio that she is using to communicate with her partner back in the time machine.
 
The guy did ask for ideas as to what it might be. It does seem odd, even if perhaps it was just some kind of 2 way radio device. I would have expected one in 1928 to have been a bit larger. What ever it is, I commend him for putting forth something that is entertaining.

so, where is the phone? with this quality it could be anything. i can't even be sure it's a woman. and i wonder how that cell phone would work anyway without a network of antennas. that's like some blurry foto is evidence of some ufo or dirt on the lens of a google street view car is a pic of god. sigh... 0/10 for this.
 
could have been the iPhone 4 - she was not doing the death grip. maybe there is an app for that - could be getting tested - Apple could be tryin gto boost its cash on hand by betting on sporting events (Back to the Future) or going back and trying to kill Bill Gates or one of his parents ala The Terminator
 
Not a time traveler... i'd find it hard to believe time travelers would still use hand held devices, when we have blue tooths in our time.
 
He would probably have a little more credibility if he claimed that she was from the Matrix.
 
I think bottom line is there were people walking all around her, heck, they were recording her, and while you don't stare at other people if somebody has a gadget you can't comprehend you DO notice it. I mean - a cell phone for them would be like a hologram coming out of a watch - you'd notice it, especially if it's on a set and everybody is looking at you carefully anyway.
 
I'm not even sure I see anything in her hand. In the last moment before the fade out her pinky and ring finger start to fold in like there's nothing there.

I think this is a case where we've been so conditioned to cell phones that we can't imagine any other reason to have our hands on the sides of our heads. Let's not forget that this was EIGHTY TWO years ago. My grandfather was a year old when that happened. Things were quite different then, and whatever she was doing probably looked perfectly normal to the people around her.

That, or there's a massive conspiracy since a woman walked through a movie shot talking into a strange device as if she were having a conversation with another person and no one thought anything of it.
 
But all of your explanations don't account for the fact that the person holding the "object" seems to disappear. Re-watch that part and watch that person slowly fade out and the background fade in. Seriously, that's weird.

Have you seen the one with the giant lizard? Oh man all SORTS of weird things were caught on film back then.
 
The problem I have with it being a hearing aid, is the person is talking to some one threw/with it.

Watch the full crop version of it, it is a cross-fade into another scene.

Considering the amount of energy it takes to transmit a cell phone signal through time I'm surprised it's not bigger. ;)
 
It's a communication device to her mother ship clocked somewhere around Earth orbit.
 
This is third or fourth video on [H] in as many days where a video clip that only needs to be 10 seconds long is several freaking minutes long. When are these clowns going to get it in their heads that we don't CARE what they think about whatever it is they're showing us. We don't need to see their faces at ALL.

Clips or GTFO!!! :p
 
Very strange indeed. I wonder how far in the future they think she or he is from. BTW it would not surprise me in the least if time travel has been figured out cause we are finding out about a bunch of secrets these days as our economy collapses. It almost reminds me of when the Soviet Union was collapsing and alot of their secrets started seeing the light of day.

Good point, but, in the future they don't have film and she/he didn't realize that the invisibility cloak doesn't work on cameras - only eyes and digital cameras. So, while the camera picked it up, the people walking around didn't even see him/her.
