Show Your LCD(s) setups!!!

Does your cat monopolize your desk chair, too? All the places they have to sit, and they want to sit in *my* chair?

are those 30 inches? anyway.. Sick setup!
And to asnwer your question about getting a bigger desk, yes! I think you'll like it, to put the screens in a more panoramic view compared to how you have it set up now.

heres my current setup

I am digging the new Eyefinity trend and recent setups that are showing up here lately.
Where is a good starting point for me to figure out the cost for an Eyefinity setup?
SLI setup + 3 monitors, right?

Is Eyefinity software independent? Can I play old games spread to three screens?
What are some downsides of going to eyefinity from a single 37" Westy?

I asked about downsides in a poll just a short while ago... Apparently there are none... :p

Eyefinity would actually be either single card ATI, or Crossfire setup. But yes, either single card or crossfire setup, with 3 monitors.

my cat ethier sits on my lap jumping at the mouse curser or goes to sleep on my mouse mat leaving me about a 4 inch by 4 inch gap lol

You need a bigger desk. :p

I've been aware of that issue. Yesterday I finally fixed the issue, by um... getting another desk. The portrait monitor will need a better stand, but this adds space to store my printer as well as a few small other stuff...

I've taken pics, as well as pics of my little home theater area behind this workstation too.

Light for the pcs, and table holding my networking equipment.

This is definately a touchscreen lcd, sorry guys.

New desk, and I've moved alot of stuff around. The desk is tempered black glass, and goes with my home theater stand.

File Serverand two Opti-ups ES1500C ups devices go under the desk.

The wall mounted monitor/keyboard stand can still be gotten too, although it's not needed, since it's simply a file server.

It's slightly slanted, I realize this.

This is the smaller version of the large lamp to the right of the wall mounted keyboard/monitor setup. This one is at one end of the corner sofa and the other is at the other (Well a few feet away).

Tv, currently off.

On for a second.

Far off few of the area.

The sectional.

Now guys, try to go light with me. I know people love to find any specs of dust that I didn't notice until I posted the pics online, even though I do my best.

Invest in a better desk/workstation. There's no reason to spend all that money on some worthy tech only to have it crammed onto 2 $40 Walmart computer desks.

Digging the sectional.

The wood/glass one was $120 at office depot and the tempered glass one was $80 at Staples.

And I like them both. I mean seriously, they do the job perfectly, and with another ergotron neoflex for the 24" 2407 portrait, it'll work. The desks aren't cheaply made, small yes, but not cheaply made.

The sectional is a lazyboy, and yes it is nice.

firstly, with your field of vision so wide, do you get the drop on your enemies when you play online? and 2nd, you really really need a bigger table man!

Yeah I feel that the extra space on the sides definitely helps with getting the jump on someone that I might not have gotten previously.

As far as the desk, it is 65 inches wide. There aren't too many desks out there that are much bigger.

I know your trying to justify your purchases and stuff... but seriously... there is absolutely no way that those 2 desks are "perfect" or even close... If you don't want to spend money, go buy a nice solid door, buy some legs, put he legs on the door, and you have yourself a large desk, that can hold all of your stuff on it, give you room so your not so cramped, and at the same time look 100 times better... but I guess thats just what I would do...

Do you think comparing my desks to a few pieces of wood being put together is taking things a bit far? Ever heard of personal preference?

Hahaha. I got a better idea than that guy. Go to the salvation army and find an old flannel shirt. Then take that shirt and stretch it over an old pant drying rack so that the shirt is 'toight". Voila, cheap flannel desk.

I do happen to notice from viewing your posting history that you two have never posted your displays. If you two are such experts on desks, do so, and lets see how tasteful you are.

The more I see the Dell monitors. The more I wish I would of spent the extra money to get those instead.

I'm super jealous of the last couple of setups posted.

legoman666, I'm loving that case. And also that 5.25" wooden enclosure (or is that a part of the case?)

I thought your response to the other guy was funny. I wasn't trying to pick on you.

Cheers. It is indeed a 5.25" Cherry enclosure.

More info about the wood case itself here: http://forums.bit-tech.net/showthread.php?t=173608

I'll just go ahead and hate you a little :D

3x24" right?

:D Yessir, 2 are Dell 2408WFP's and the one on the left is a 2407WFP.

The more I see the Dell monitors. The more I wish I would of spent the extra money to get those instead.

I paid full price for 1 of them new, and the other 2 I bought used off eBay. The two used ones were pretty cheap.

Wow, I see you've moved your desk? also any updates on the oil pc?

Indeed! It was too cramped in its old location. The slope of the ceiling prevented me from putting my monitors as far back on my desk as I wanted.

As for the mineral oil PC, I am in the process of looking for a few sponsors (just started looking last friday ;) ) to get some new hardware. It needs a video card, a motherboard, processor, RAM and CPU. If I can secure a 2 or 3 of those, I will purchase the rest myself and then get the beast up and running again.

@legoman666

I love the wood case, and never even noticed it, until the poster pointed it out. I am in the process of making a wood covered case from an old mobo tray I cut out of a cheap case. I am wondering if you have any issues with the wood resonating fan noise and such? Just one of the concerns I have going in.

Thanks ;) No there are no noise issues. 3/4" thick wood is a much better sound insulator than the thin steel or aluminum that regular cases are made out of. It is much more inflexible and thus less prone to vibrating.
