The stock PSU vs the Seasonic 300Watt... can anyone with both comment on which is quieter?
Power will not be an issue for me, not even sure I'll use an addin GFX card. I ordered a Zotac 9300 itx board and am going to try out the onboard gfx first as this is basically just a computer for my mom&dad.
--edit--
Actually just rereading this thread... not just Seasonic... are any of the alternate PSUs obviously quieter than the stock one?
Actually you make a good point... couldn't you run a pico PSU for the motherboard + HDD's, then run the 300watt for a GPU?
Heh.. you would just have to run the jumper connection to the 24pin (from the PSU) so it starts at the same time... and you'd have 2 power cables running to the computer.
But that's an option for those who want the extra power I guess..
What did you do to reduce HDD noise?
Does it mean that we could fit a GTX 260 (10.5" length) on SG05?
I don't know if this will do any better then aircooled 9300/sugo5 builds, but it is pretty fun to try.
Hey man, it's all about experimenting and having fun. It's cool seeing this attempted regardless. Keep it going!
I plan to get a GeminII S for this case to replace my Scythe Shuriken. Are there any 120mm fans that can be used with this heatsink, or do I have to run it passively?
