Time to join Li-Li club.

I'm the 2nd to post 1000z shots?

I just put mine together this weekend actually!! I'm not posting pics though yet cuz I just put it together to make it work. I've got a few things coming in to make it look really nice inside and clean up the wires. Should have some good pics up in a few weeks of it.

Krame- Where did you get that fan speed controller from? I looking to get one for my mom's PC-A05B case. Also where did you get that temp gauge from - it looks awesome.

Did a few mods to my PC-7.

I love this case! I loved it so much, I went out and bought another Lian Li to try to mimic it! I copied the fan controller without the including the front LEDs on the Rheobus, but what did you use to wrap those SATA cables? And what's that black insulation you used?

Sure is nice to see all these clean Li box's here. Makes me look at my old dog with more respect. :)

I've used that stuff before; I'm pretty sure I got it at Radio Shack (~5 years ago)... that was before PSUs came sleeved.

Thanks EazyM3. Glad it inspired you, I love this case a lot. I find myself staring at it pretty often. The cables are wrapped with spiral wrap that I got from Home Depot and the "insulation" is just foam that I got from a craft store.

Even more PC-X500 love - easily the best cable management case I've ever owned.

2x EVGA GTX295's incoming to replace the 4870x2's and a TRUE 120 Black will be installed tonight. Now if only those beloved Noctuas weren't the ugliest color possible for a fan!!!

Rest of the specs are in my sig:

Hey man, pls. pm me the place you're throwing those old 4870X2's to. I'll drive by and pick'em up. ;):D

Doesn't Lian Li carry a power supply extender out the back of your case thats compatible with the X500? I'd like that case with an HX1000 as well..

There are a few decent all black fans you can use, the Slipstreams or the S-Flex's for example.. but if you make a point to use noctuas...

Sure, they'll be dumped here (seeing as how I've only had them for about 2 months and will be taking a loss on them, as usual):

www.ebay.com :D

Yes, they do . . . but why spend $20 when you can just ghetto rig three mobo studs together and do the same thing??? ;)

Plus, the PSU extender really extends the PSU out a long ways out the back when all I needed was about 1" of space. No one sees the rear of the PSU anyways.

The case actually came to me with some all black S-Flexes and I have to say that they did look great inside the case - but it sounded like a tornado inside the case so I'd have to use my Zalman fan controller with it. Since I'm going with 2x opticals (I burn A LOT of DVD's for the kids), I don't have room for the fan controller in the 5.25" external bay.

Lastly, I really do prefer the Noctuas over anything else so I'll just have to put up with the color. Someone above actually dyed/painted his Noctuas black - which is pretty sweet - but I don't have the time, patience or desire to do it :)

I dont know why you spent all that money and there is no blu ray drive :)

Because I have no use for it???

I can imagine a Blu-Ray drive is coming in the near future but right now, I have no pressing need for one so it's not worth the $100/$200 for nothing.

I find your use of motherboard spacers in this pic to be creative, but for some reason I feel sad after seeing it :(

aww.. I hate to see such a nice case have to be ghetto modded after how good the rest of it looks. One of these will do the trick and give it a nice clean OEM look.

You guys crack me up. Trust me when I tell you this - I'm about as anal as they come when it comes to my gear (look at the specs and you can tell). However, in this case, I really don't mind b/c I never see the rear of my case . . . nor does anyone else.

And as stated earlier, the LL PSU extender looks like it really makes the PSU stick out the back A LOT when all I need is just that one extra inch in order for my lower HDD cage to fit.

Am I wrong when I say Lian-Li's are pretty much the best cases made? They are beautiful! So ignoring price, which one beats the Antec 1200 in terms of expandability, air-flow and overall design?

I love love love the P80B but don't know if it's worth upgrading to later.

Did you post it in the ghetto mods section yet? :p

It would bother me. You're not as anal as they come.

My Sacred 2 LIAN LI Lancool PC-K10B Black

Case was won at Showdown Lan 3 in San Mateo last year. CDV had the case painted to promote their Sacred 2 release and earlier this month I put some gift wrapping that I had wanted to use for while.

Due to recent activity in this thread I feel a compulsion to post a close-up of my power-supply-extension mounting. :D

psuextend.jpg

Long M3 screws and one-inch plastic spacer tubes from a local hardware store, with black heatshrink over the white tubes for color-matching. I agree that Lian-Li's spacer bracket seems absurdly long. (See my previous post for the rest of the PC.)

I tried hard, but i was unable to find any pics of PC-V1110 in this thread, which i find a bit surprising... maybe i will be the first with pics of PC-V1110A ? Just ordered it today, delivery time 1 week +/- few days :D. Unfortunately it will be a bit colormixed as BZ-502A is not available @ Lian Li EU, delivery time is 3 weeks :( , so my first pics will be with black BZ-502B.

I am looking to be making an upgrade to a new case for my upcoming build and want to make it a lian li as I have no previous experiance with them but am not sure which one. I am coming from a Silverstone TJ09....any suggestions? I am leaning towards a full tower for wire management reasons, but thats pretty much it?

I had a PC-V1110 some months ago.. nice case to work with
here are some pictures I took

-=WooDWorKeR420=-, woodn't the best approach to this "problem" be to start from Lian-Li web-site, narrow down your choices and then, if in doubt, ask about advantages/shortcomings of your 2-3 top-of-the-list candidates?

You didn't tried to route the 4/8-pin P4 connector via back & using the extension which should be bundled to case ? How loud was the front 14cm fan (because there are zero good alternatives available to me) ?
I miss a bit holes from above motherboard tray like the holes in PC-A20, but PC-A20 front is fugly, PC-V1110B front is just not looking good, and the front of PC-V1110A is relatively OK due better color for this design.
I hate the fact that PC-V's have just no holes behind motherboard tray, would be awesome - on other side, the new PC-V design would need just one for 4/8-pin cable, and that can be forced to panel mounting hole like i did on my PC-V1000B.

But its nice to see that i won't have any PSU problems (if HX1000 can fit, HX620 will have zero problems).

Thanks for photos, will post mine after my case will arrive (and prepare for 6-disk hell from 6pcs of WD6400AAKS). Too bad it won't be entirely done (i will use BZ-502B on front until BZ-502A arrives, i will use black Kaze Master fan controller until Kaze Master Ace Silver arrives).

I'm really thinking about upgrading to a better Lian Li or Silverstone case that has more room. (which is why nothing is organized right now)

What is it that keeps your PSU out back like that? Mine's a drive cage, but unless that 80mm fan up top is in your way I can't think of anything, unless it's not the 600w in your sig and it's actually a long PSU..

This is the bracket that I used to extend my PSU further out the back of my case. Also my sig needs to be updated. The PSU in this computer is a Corsair HX1000w. The extension allows me to use the 80mm on top of the case.

@vlad - I don't know if your comment was directed towards me but a 1000z is one of the Lian Li cases I am considering right now. I'm in the process of narrowing down my choices.

Oh, I didn't even know what I was looking at was the bracket, I thought it was something inside your case preventing you from putting it all the way in. I'm using 3 mobo standoffs screwed together myself right now lol.

I should get the bracket though...

Got to tell you that is not a quiet case, but it does a great job at keeping stuff cold.
