I did, and then hung up, because I didn't want to sound like a moron obsessing over my package. By the looks of it, it arrived at my local sort facility at 6AM, and the fuckers never even put it on a truck :mad:

Hopefully tomorrow. They better come late though, I have class, wont be home till 5:30-6PM.
 
I woulda called them and had them leave it there so I could pick it up at my convieniance, but I know where my UPS location is :p

I just got this monitor on Black Friday for $850 total from Shopko. Been using it solely as a TV. I had to call my local cable company and schedule HD programming because every channel is fuzzy now. My one concern is that there is only 1 HDMI port. Should I be worried about that? Speakers on the monitor are adequate enough for TV viewing. Is there anyway I can be on VGA input and be using PIP with Video input with SOUND. I can't get sound from Video input using PIP on VGA.
 
Talk about a fucking heart attack. My tracking number says its delivered and signed for. I was no signee, and my front door was not a home to a monitor. I called DHL right away, and the fucktard aparanty delivered it to the neighbor. The funny/retarded part is that it was noted that he delivered to 5414, and it says clear as day my address was 5415. It is almost like he knowingly delivered it to the wrong house. I was upstairs when he delivered to the neighbor, so its not like he rung the door and no one answered...

Idiots..

However, a quick visit to my neighbor (who wasn't home... DHL left me $1050 package unsigned for and unattended at the front door of the wrong address), and I now have my precious. It's all set up, breaking her in now. A few rounds on the 360 looked fantastic... now time to fire up some counter strike.

Oh... and in case I forgot.... its HUGE!

EDIT: For the record though, Oblivion and Gears of War both look awesome. Also, a bit of scanning reveals zero dead or stuck pixels. FTW!
 
Alas, looks like I have found one dead pixel (It's red... that mean its stuck or dead?). It is in the right-center area of the screen. It is off enough that I don't really see it at all, unless I look for it. So, it really is no big deal.

Still, I have heard there are ways to work these things out. Anyone have any methods I could try to make the bugger go away?
 
yeh thats a stuck pixel, the black ones are dead, there are ways you can fix stuck pixels just google it. i think it has something to do with rubbing it and turning the screen on and off at the same time.

go into westy menu and #7.. audio from.. select secondary

Uh... not to sound like a dick... but are you asking how much this LCD costs? This thread is packed full of discussion about the price as well as places to buy it. You shouldn't have to ask that. The first question is legitimate though. However, I can't answer it, haven't done any TV viewing myself.

Yeah, I found that site. The pressure thing didn't work. However, the crazy pixel thing seemed to do something. I let it go for about 45 minutes, and when I came back, it was noticeably faded, more of a dull pink color. I think I am gunna let that run overnight and see what happens.
 
Got some pics. Taking dark shots is harder than I thought it would be. My blurry pics don't do this thing justice. Medieval II was jaw-dropping on this thing :eek:

Well, i had been reading through page after page of this thread and after seeing the pic's and most people's initial reactions, i pulled the trigger and ordered it.

I went with the crutchfield online deal. Question about their payment process though if any of you happened to notice...

I checked via online banking after i spoke with someone over there and they had charged me for it. However, the next day after i looked again and the charge was gone (the amount was also credited back on my account). I checked order status and it still says shipped though... wondering if anyone else noticed something similar or if theres a chance im getting lucky?

I cant wait for this thing. Crutchfield's warehouses are supposedly in virginia and im in Maryland close to baltimore so im really hoping i get it before the end of this week. Only thing that will be a disappointment is where i have to put the monitor at first. My desk was quite comftorable with the 19'' CRT i had and it barely expanded to fit my 2405 when i picked that up... This thing will look out of place on my desk until i can get a new one!

Can anyone recommend a good desk for these? I've been looking at the Jerker(go figure) but i'd like to know if anyone has any other good recommendations. Nothing too fancy, simple and clean look like the jerker is great.
 
yeah, me 2 I need a nice desk like the jerker, but I am in Jacksonville florida and there is no ikea. It sucks.

Same thing happened to me.. keep your money in there. They charged me again sometime during last night.

Yeah, I hate it. When it first came out, I downloaded it because I really wanted an M16. I was really let down :(

EDIT: Far as that M4 and AK go.... I had the AK, but am currently using a different one that I like. The M4... I don't like it. I don't know why, but for some reason I can never get into the M4's with the beefy foregrip. It's a damn good skin though.

I just called my shipping company and they said that there was a mix up and it isnt going to be delivered until tommorow. It was pure bs. I am so mad now.
 
I so want to pull the trigger on this monitor. i found it at Plasmabay.com for $1074.75 to my door. I will have this monitor at some point, Christmas is just around the corner. It'll be a nice upgrade from my 22" Westy :D
 
Has anyone mounted this TV to the wall? if so, how is it?

next, would it be out of control to have this tv and a 42inch sony lcd projection in the same room?
 
Ordered mine from Crutchfield last Friday night. In Ohio and local freight called yesterday wanting to deliver it but wouldnt be available. Should have it tomorrow morning! Cannot wait, keep those new pics coming, hopefully will have my own soon.

hey guys, my westy should come in tommorow, but I still dont have a desk. PLease help me with buying a desk. I want a black desk, that is modern and very nice. Price range under a 500.00 and width that is 50" or larger. Please help.......
 
dammit....I just got my paycheck today and wanted to buy it this evening but crotchfield no longer have it on sales, it went back up to $1199 today.....@#$^&&**#@!!


JR have it for $999 still, but do they offer extended warranty?
 
Ikea Jerker in Black, the 6 foot version. You can even an extension using IKEA shelving that matches with the short legs for raised sections on the desk surface. However that desk is huge and feels it.
 
I like the jerker but, there isnt one near my location. It is 122.00 for shipping alone...
