Sales receipt = NEWEGG.COM INVOICE WTF GUYS

It said to highlight/circle the purchase

Guess what I did -- I CIRCLED THE VIDEO CARD ON THE INVOICE.

I know an XFX rep posts here. I'm mainly looking for help from him!

What a complete joke.

I've heard that the Newegg Invoice that you get with your package doesn't always work with Rebates. You need to go into your order history and print off a copy.

You did see that big ol' phone number in the text you copied/pasted with this hyperbolic thread, right?

Well, the XFX rebate house is a liar. They said I didn't submit something I did.

I did call the number listed, took 3 minutes to speak to someone, she very easily "resubmitted" it and it required no action from me.

I've been doing rebates longer than I've been on [H] (hint -- look above) and I've NEVER been denied one except the $70 SOYO rebate we all got fucked on. Newegg credited me that, so +1 for Newegg.

Anyhow, it all seems to've worked out. Don't tell me you've never been STEAMING mad when you know you submitted something and they say you didn't.

Typically you need to send a receipt that lists the purchase price, as well as the date and your name. The invoices I've received from newegg have the part listed but not the price paid or the payment method.

I print mine from the website. Never used a packing slip.

Check post above. Never used a packing slip, that's stupid.

Of course I have (wouldn't say STEAMING mad, but annoyed), but being here roughly the same amount of time as you (I lost my account in the purge a few years back), we both know to use common sense with rebates. Sure, it's nice to vent on the forums, but shouting XFX LIARS!!! in the thread title is a bit much, no?

Not really. Generally speaking, don't rebate houses do EVERYTHING possible to screw you out of your rebate?

When I KNOW I submitted something, I should NOT have to call. Agree or disagree?

Person A: You didn't submit something
Person B: I know I did!
Person A: No, you didn't.
Person B: You're a liar!

That's how it works.

It's the way it is, I always make sure I check up on rebates even if it says accepted just to be sure with how rebate houses are. So, the second part is irrelevant :(.

You just said they told you they were re-doing it on your first call. You wouldn't go "LIAR!!!" anyway, you would provide proof or re-submit with their permission the whole thing, that it was purchased properly and submitted with copies of your original form and receipt.

Call or email and they will either fix it on the spot or ask you to resubmit. If that fails, contact newegg for help.

Some rebate processors are pretty horrible, but I've always been paid (slowly) on XFX rebates.

When I know I've done something correct, including the STUPID rebates that said no electronically typed envelopes (not an XFX rebate, prior ones) and require you to write a long ass number on the back of the envelope -- I got those rebates back.

Those rebates = hard.

This rebate = easy (Invoice+UPC+Form)

Denying my rebate = lame

For the record, you all want to hear it:

I overreacted. Not by much, and I don't think calling their rebate house liars is out of line, but it's still an absolute joke considering the amount of work their rebate required.

Another thing I do is staple all pages together and tape the fuck out of the UPC to one of the forms.

Can't tell me I didn't submit something when I have copies of it RIGHT HERE.

BUT -- It all worked out, the lady on the phone was extremely nice and just needed some basic information from me and she said it's "resubmitted and will take another 8 weeks."

This isn't really news. Rebate places like to try to get out of paying rebates or delaying them, and these rebate houses have nothing to do with the manufacturer.

Just last year Canon's rebate house was screwing camera equipment purchasers around - denying and losing rebates. These were rebates over $1000 in some cases (good camera gear is expensive). Losing $1000 is certainly something to vent about.

There is a deal discussion sub forum under hot deals.

Hey, that's great. An XFX rep posts here and not there. Since I've already called (calling = hassle) it's no big deal. XFX quickly and promptly took care of me without any requiring me to do anything.

Thanks for attempting to be helpful. :D

that's why i never even bother with rebates (rather..never buy products based on the after-rebate price)

I've gotten back 99.9%+ of the rebate money I sent in, which total in the thousands over the years. Only 2 places have stiffed me on rebates: K-World and the old OCZ. It's pretty much a sure thing, but I do avoid bad companies.

Hope the XFX rep here doesn't waste his time on your rebate , it's clear that you did not follow the RULES per rebate claim, everyone knows that newegg invoice = NOT RECEIPT and you have to print it from your order history.

You = Failed.

Well, it sounds as if they thought that you sent them a screenshot of your shopping card rather than a reciept. It all worked out I am glad, but to get this mad over freaking $20?

There are only two ways these rebate companies could make any money at all:
1) Praying people do not bother filing for their rebate.
2) Denying legitimate rebates.

What a fucking crooked business.

I never got my XFX rebate check when I bought my 8800GTS, but that's the name of the game.

Relying on rebates is like taking your cousin to the prom, you're not getting any.

That's not been my experience...

... but anyway.. yeah. If you're buying something with a rebate, make sure the rebate price isn't why you're buying it. That way if you don't get your rebate you don't really feel you've lost anything.

Sorry for your bad luck, but I've gotten every single rebate that I've ever sent in..:D

I think that's the best attitude to have when purchasing something with a rebate. Truth be told, I've been compensated for about 70% of the rebates I have sent in, period. Its just not something I rely on, nor do I get upset if they don't come through. I do send them in though.

I have seen a lot of complaints on XFX rebates, but I had no problem with the one on my GTX. Bought it from NewEgg.

I never got my rebate from XFX... most other companies like samsung, corsair, coolermaster, and zerotherm I always get. Rebates arent to bad until you have to start following up on them.. and when you get a good 10-15 going at once... good luck. Very cool the XFX rep stepped in here to help out.

Man you're about fucking retarded because YOU = FAIL

If you'd look back you'd see I said OVER AND OVER I never used the receipt.

YOU = EPIC FAIL TYPE MAN

I got screwed but clubit rebates..., and I even paper clipped everything together. I printed out the rebate on the same page i bought the product, and they said I had the wrong form. Stupid. FUnny cause it took them 3 months to respond to my email. GG.

Rebates suck.

Yeah I don't know what's wrong with Ranger there. But yeah, I usually overprint (online receipt, email receipt, pack-in slip, multiple copies of UPC code, etc.) so there's no way they can screw me.

*Knock-on wood for diligence, that's for damn sure.

maybe we should start a rebate business.
I have usually received my rebates, AT&T fucked me hard this summer, said the date wasnt on the cash register receipt.........wa????? When I circled all the stuff they requested so they could find it. Clearly obvious on my copies.

Luckily I made copies........sorry we cant accept a copy of the register receipt.....

went back to the AT&T phone place..........we cant duplicate that transaction....wa?????

This was for 200 bucks in rebates (wife phone, daughter phone)......finally had the credit card company get involved...........12 weeks I think it took.....

I did send a letter to the ATTY Generals office.........for what its worth.

Hey kent!!!! You did send a receipt right, not the packing slip.....just kidding.;)
XFX=OK.:D
