I want one... please, I beg of you. Oh man, my very first laptop has a Radeon Mobility 7500. 6990 is so close to 7500 that it brings back really (kind of) bad memories. I wanted to upgrade the 7500 to the 9000, but couldn't... Was so depressed!!! But see how close 6990 is to 7500? See how there's a 9 in 9000 and double the 9's in 6990?! It's a dream come true!
*ahem* In all seriousness, the 7500 does hold a good place in my memories and it's still living to this day. I didn't have money to attempt the upgrade, and decided to move on. I liked to have an XFX but always ended up choosing another manufacturer because I'm cheap. My first graphics card was a 7600GT and I went with PNY for that.
1) is it an upgrade over mine? Check..XFX 4850
2) Does it have HDMI? Check
3) Is it XFX? Check, why is this important to me? Double lifetime warranty..that and frankly they have some of the best looking PCB's on the market.
4) Have I ever had to use their warranty? Nope..
i like XFX by their slogan "play hard". In addition, i like the 6990 because it starts with 69 and you should know what it means =]. Last but not least i walk with these.
Whats not to like about the XFX Radeon HD 6990!
It's simply the BADDEST Ass kicking video card on the Planet with the BADDEST Ass Kicking warranty on the Planet !
AMD's ground breaking design with XFX's quality workmanship and Industry leading Customer Service, that works for me !
What can I say ... these cards are great!!!!!!!!! My family has been using a xfx 4850 for 2 years now and with 3 gamers in the house it never gets a rest lol. We would love an upgrade. Hope we win!!!
Well lets see here, my 4890 was a XFX card. Resold it with the Lifetime warranty, gave me peace of mind knowing the item I was reselling was going to be supported for the 2nd party.
That was good enough to convince me to replace that with my 6950 from XFX. The products are worth it, the warranty is worth it and they've shown consistently, that they support the people that flock to [H] year after year.
Whats not to love? Good company, best card money can buy (or begging in this case) and a double lifetime warranty. Winning all around
