It was horrible today in BB. The Horde decided it should be their town. They completely overran it. All I had to do was turn 2 quests in. I got ganked 7 times trying to do that. I couldn't even get out of BB, so I just logged while sitting on the tip of the ship building so nobody could get to me.

I don't think anyone in the Guild as Guildwars.. I've heard it's a great game and is nearly exactly like Diablo 2. I for one would love to play it, but only have time for one game and have chosen WoW.

Well, I broke down & got it at CC today, i sure wish there was a DVD version there :(
Im thinking a Tauren Warrior or Shaman right now, as theres a lot of Druids and healers are always liked. I'll also be an alchemist/herbalist, if I have time to level up.
I cant think of a good name that will be allowed yet, any good ideas?
 
Well I guess I will have to joing the Guild. Is it a Horde only guild, Alliance only or both? I played both alliance and horde in beta an really enjoyed them both.

Just got the game yestarday.

The only thing holding me back from joining is that its on a PVP server. I want to still have PVP but getting killed by some fag 10 levels higher then me when im minding my own business doesnt sound fun. I dont want to join a PVE server because then I dont get my fix of PVP combat and raids. Do you see my dilema. :(

I guess I will just tough it out and go PVP. I will post my charachter name later tonight but right now im knee deep in shit for school (homework).

Does anyone know where I can find a map for what territory is contested and which ones arent for WOW.

Edit: K I just found out its Horde only

I just got WoW today, its been installing for about an hour and a half now, and not even half way done... :(

I might join the guild, or I might start my own ;)

Did it take long to install on anyone elses computer?

Well it's like 4gigs. It didn't take me THAT long. But it takes a while.

And why would you want to go and spoil the fun? :p

Its STILL not halfway don, just a bit more then 1 third.

Does installations happen faster after disk 2? Disk 1 went buy in about 20 minutes, Disk to has been going on for more then an hour now...

Still havent created a charachter yet, Just wondering if the guild goes on raids togethor alot.

Im thinking about being either a shaman or a rogue. My two favorite charachters.

My only problem with WOW is that I want to play every charachter in the game but I cant, got to go one step at a time. :(

I heard (or read) that everyone hates shamans because they are a noob class or something.

Probably either going to be a warrior, or some magic casting-like thing

We havn't too much yet since we're not high enough lvl. But we do group together, and as soon as we can strart doing quest raids we will.

A few of us were in a pvp raid today and did pretty well.

Shaman are not a noob class. They are one of the more difficult classes to play properly. And don't worry about what anyone else says, play what you like.
 
Oh man, this is taking WAY to long to install. I installed Flight sim he other day, that was about 1.5 gigs, and 4 disks, it tool about half an hour, this is like into the THIRD hour now, not even HALF done...

its been in texture.mpq for a while now.

How long did it take you guys to install this goddamn game? The worst part is I cant return it for the DvD copy...

edit: Jesus christ I hate myself, I accidently pressed "Cancel"

Shouldnt there be a goddamn "Are you sure you want to cancel?" dialog box?

Its installing a bit faster on my C:\ drive, then on my E:\ one...

It has never taken me that long. I have installed it 6 or 7 times now, and it was never that bad. Just wait until you get to the patching. Now that is irritating.

I kow from experience that Priest are one of the hardest classes to play and Lvl.
 
how many patches should I expect to have to d/l, how many have been reliesed since the game was released? Or is it all d/l in one mega-patch?
 
You can download it all in one mega patch. Check on Cnet or other download sites for the full update patch. ;)

We can't do anything with your account. Let us know if you create a character on Stormscale server and tell us the character name :)
 
I second going someplace else besides blizzard to get the patches, they just to slow with thier patcher.
 
Blizzards patcher dl'd about 500k, but installing took just about as long :rolleyes:
Made may character, Tauren Hunter lvl 8 right now, Ednahu, still in Mulgore though, Im loving that CC didnt have any Guild Wars copies that could have taken me away from this game :D
