I plan on picking up a 360 next week, and I am going to be using my 2005fp to play on. I was all ready to go, then it hit me today I need a way to play the sound. I was thinking just getting an rca female to mini-stereo male cable, and hooking it to the line in on my PC to play through my speakers. Would that work?

what kind of audio out jacks are on the 360? If it's stereo RCA's.. then I was thinking something like this... RCA==>LineIn

The 360 uses RCA... but it does have its own proprietary connectors. A male to male cable would not work. It would have to be female to male. Sort of like an extension cable, but it converts to mini-stereo in the process.

The cable I linked above should be right, I am really more curious is knowing if using that to hook the 360 to my pcs line in would play the sound through the speakers.

Yeah.. shouldn't be a problem.. just as long as you have line-in unmuted.
