Jesus.. T8 is pricey to fix... Even if you play carefully... lol
T4 repair for a sunken ship 6.5k , T8, 90k `.~
Is there a way to go back and look at a battle?
I had a 2x multiplier and got 8878xp with my Cleveland this morning. Is there a way to go back and look at a battle? I sunk six ships. Took out a New Mexico by myself (while only taking around 3k dmg).
Is it sad that I got confederate with my furutaka?
Is it sad that I got confederate with my furutaka?
*edit* And just did another game with my furutaka and got confederate and high caliber. Dont know why this ship would get a bad rep after the 4.1 patch.
how much more credits do the premium ships give? EG, the Atago is a T8 ship, so is it really worth farming credits on it?
The death of the Japanese Carriers.... 0.4.1

How to explain that the beta just opened and the servers are full of cruisers?
So I am on the US Cruiser track and am mastering the phoenix. Holy crap it is fast. Need more XP to upgrade the torp launchers and add more guns.
Love this game.
nope subs will not be added to the game, dev's have been pretty much dead set on that. although i think theres ways they could add them without them being stupidly broken.
Heres one of the problems - You'll never make Credits, XPs. The reward system sees to rewarding damage done to ships and sinking them. The game rewards you with peanuts for establishing air superiority. Who wants to sit there and do planes on planes battle? Boring with no pay off incentive! USN will always win hands down! I think part of the issue is with the disparity in squad size. Take a typical IJN fighter squad: 4 aircraft, now a typical USN fighter squad: 6 aircraft. USN fighters have more planes for RNG to spread damage from IJN fighter squadrons out on, where as IJN fighters have considerably less aircraft for RNG to spread damage across. Factor in captain skills and you could have 4v7, 5v6, 5v7, the former putting IJN fighters at an even larger disadvantage. Also, from my understanding, upgrading USN fighters gradually increased their guns effectiveness, where as IJN fighters don't get any real improvement in DPS until the A6M's at T7, meaning that at my tier(Ryujo) fighter DPS just feels lacking.
Absolutely, same as with WoT and WoWP. There is no "pay to win" in these games. Real money will net you gold (dubloons), that you can use to buy a premium account. That will net you an increased rate of XP and ingame credits to help offset grinding if you want. Also, premium ships that you buy can get you to higher tiers instantly but understand that premium ships cannot be upgraded. Meaning, that usually same tier ships that are unlocked through progression can and usually are better than premium ships (because you can upgrade them and their captain's skills). People buying premium ships aren't "winning" they are skipping straight to a tier and playing at a disadvantage (usually).
Why buy premium ships then? Well for one, if you want to play at said tier. But most likely people buy them to subsidize their income ingame. What I mean is, in higher tiers the cost of upgrading parts, buying new ships or even straight up repair costs post battle are so high that people want to speed that earning power up. Premium ships earn in game credits at an atronomical rate. So later in the game people will often grind or play say, a tier VIII premium to simply earn millions of credits. Once you get into tier VII and higher, ships start costing in the 5-10 million range and if you didn't have a premium ship to help speed that up, it could take you months and months of grinding to afford 1 ship. Or have a premium ship and you "could" (depending on skill) earn up to 1 million a day.
Most serious WoT or WoWS players all have at least 1 high tier premium tank/ship to subsidize credit earnings. Premium accounts are not needed at all, and you absolutely can play this game with never spending a penny.
Throughout the years my winning combination has been to run a premium account (not subscription based, you re-up as you want) when I'm very active, no premium when I'm not very active. Buy 1-2 premium vehicles to increase income and the rest is simple math really. Play, have fun, grind a bit here and there but the above will make the quest to level up and buy new ships MUCH more painless than simply running on a free account only. A free account will take you down the same path, but it could take upwards to 4-6 months to achieve what a premium player could do in 1-2.
To most, their time is worth a few bucks here and there. The pay model for these games are pretty fair I think.
I'm trying to set up a profile in nvidia's control panel but it won't let me open the wows.exe in order to do so.
Anyways, I love the Omaha and Murmansk. The Omaha with the B Hull is an offensive beast at tier 5. Set my new personal record for citadels:
I also installed sweetfx. Cleaned things right up and there's no damn way I'm going back to that muddled mess their art team cooked up:
sweetfx on:
Just need some proper anti-aliasing. Also going to try adjust an xml file that apparently gives the game some waves. Purely aesthetic, mind you, but I'm curious as to how it looks.
Whats the best money-maker to buy if you are going to do it ?
man did I miss a free ship?
I don't know what can be done to promote more team play, instead of 'stop stealing my kills' mentality. Right now, there is a fair incentive to win a match via the exp bonus -- but apparently this is not enough by itself. There is zero incentive for a battleship to move forward and be a battleship - instead, hang out in the back and take pot shots. There is zero incentive for a cruiser to provide AA support or protect battleships from DDs.
The whole experience system rewards a method of play worse than lone wolf - it goes as far as promoting leaving your team mates out cold when you see a flank starting to fail so you can get some more shots out there and not end up with a repair bill. At the higher tiers, it's really just trying not to die.
It's still beta, a lot of balancing left to do, a lot of newer players who don't understand their roles yet.
The co-op to start you off is nice, but it would go a long ways towards improving play if those also included tips or hints during the battle to help people learn. Things as simple as a red x saying you're a battleship, here's a good spot to put in you in range, or you're a destroyer, you've been spotted, you probably want to use your smoke screen to get away.
But, the worst part of multi-player gaming is always the other players...
see?
LOL
what credit? how much xp do you get for the kill shot vs dmg done?
I have gotten over 6000xp on a single kill round, and under 2000xp on a 3 kill round.
I'm sorry, I'm not going to sit there, while your target chips away at my hitpoints, so you can feel good about yourself
The more I read it the more sarcastic in tone it became, lol.
Do you watch journeyman's stream? Sounds like something he or his "fanbase" would say.
Your kills don't mean shit. Nothing. You earn more for overall damage and for damaging equal tier or higher ships:
Also, I hope you get banned if you really pull that shit in game. That cancerous bullshit is, at the very best, a childish tantrum. Multiplayer isn't for you.
Thanks Buisness
Now I'm up to a fully upgraded New Mexico and Pensacola, as well as a T4 Japanese DD
I'm really getting sick of people turning back and running.. I go steaming into 3-4 enemies with a new mexico, cleveland and omaha.... within 2 minutes it's me and 1 omaha, the other 2 turned and ran away! gah
Anyway, MM fail last nite, put us against some Tier 3 BB, I went up against a north carolina, first 2 shots were citadels, 4th shot no citadel but still did about 7000dmg, 4th shot citadel to finish him off.. he didn't even get to fire his guns.
this MM Fix patch can't come any sooner.
