Why wait for hours? When I see cpu usage is constant 100% or 50% on some process and not changing for a while I assume it is 'stuck' and terminate it. Happened with me a few times with Windows Update. Close Update window, kill that 100% cpu using process, restart Update. Problem solved. Not helping? Restart system. Start over again. But waiting for a 'stuck' (crushed?) process to start working is useless most of the times.Having the issue on one out of 5 Win 7 systems. CPU spikes to 100% for hours at a time until I kill the process
