WHS rebuild - help with missing files

I hope I can explain this clearly so that someone might know what the problem may be.
As my current server was almost full, and no option to add additional discs, I decided to build a new server and transfer everything over (both systems running WHS v1).
So I put together the new one with a new drive, installed WHS and everything went smoothly. I then took one drive at a time from the old server, installed it in the new one, drive would show up in the console, I would transfer all files over and then add that empty drive to the pool.
I did this for all the drives and everything worked as it should, except for one drive. When I install it in the new system (Norco 4220), it does not show up in the console or disc management. The bay power light is on, I can hear the drive spinning...simply not recognized.
When I put the drive in a USB docking station on my desktop system, it spins up but does not show up in the explorer window.. When I go to disc management, a window will pop up and say "You must initialize this disc before Logical Disc Management can access." Two choices for partition style are presented: MBR or GPT.
Regardless of which one is chosen, another window with a header saying "Virtual Disc Manager" and a red "X" pops open stating "The device is not ready".

No matter what I've tried, I cannot read what's on this HD. All the other drives were recognized instantly.
If anyone is familiar with this situation and can help me, it would be GREATLY appreciated.

Can the original WHS install/server see whats on that hard drive?
 
Reassemble the old server? All you need is the OS install from the old WHS setup and the troublesome drive.

Then again, are you sure that drive was initialized and used at all in your old WHS setup?
 
Excellent question. I'm about 90% sure that it was, as I don't recall seeing any empty 1Tb drives in the old console. The data is nothing crucial, just movies, so worst case I have to figure out what is missing and re-rip the movies.
Even if that is that's the case, why won't it let me initialize it?
 
The drive could have been corrupted somehow.

Is there any way for me to use this drive in another system?
Like I said, when I go to Disc Management and try to initialize it, it asks for either MBR or GPT and regardless of which one is chosen, pops open a window stating "Disc cannot be found".

Hmm, could also be a defective drive as well. Just for shits and giggles, try a different SATA cable and different PC altogether.
