I hate to break it to you, but you will probably really grow tired of the end game stuff quickly as a paladin. I'd suggest leveling your mage some more, it's a lot more fun.Squishead said:I have been playing it for six months and I still really enjoy the game...I have a 51 Pally and 33 mage. I haven't experienced end-game stuff, maybe that is why I still like it![]()

Ah yes .... societies spiral around the bowl of the toilet. Seems to be a decaying orbit, from this vantage point.
Wait til you get to MC (if you do). A paladin's job is primarily to cleanse and backup heal. Often, they don't even fight because the minor amount of damage they do compared to rogues and warriors makes it not worth them taking damage. Warlocks are OK, they're highly sought after in MC (Garr, soulstones, etc) and do decent damage. Also, I don't know if you're on a PvP server, but paladins are absolutely awful at PvP.MemoryInAGarden said:I just got Pally to 60 and still love him. I'm on a new server, and I'm tanking (though not the amount of mobs a Warrior has to take) through DM and BRD. I've got no problems tanking and damage dealing, so I don't see what all this complaining about pallies being cleanse/buff bots endgame is about it. Pallies are a competitive class, they aren't broken like the poor Warlocks.

Not everyone is actively searching for a girl, either because they already have one or don't want one. If you already have a girlfriend, you can have both.Netrat33 said:Because...video games bring you to a higher social level eh? All those chicks ya meet playing WoW or Doom 3. Makes other's think you're cool?
I'm sorry but pistol222 pretty much nailed it with both comments:
boobs > World of Warcraft
and
Yes, and video games are on a MUCH higher plane, aren't they? *dripping with sarcasm*
I learned a lot about time travel with HL2!

I don't see why people compare girls to games... it's two totally different things. I guess if you spent ALL your time playing a game it would be different, but I don't see too many people who do that.
Good warlocks can deal a lot of damage. However, most warlocks are not very good. I've never seen a druid classified as a backup healer, they are definitely main healers. Shamans are backup healers... but they can really do just about everything. Rogues can bring a lot to a group - lots of sustained DPS. This is why you'll often see Ragnaros taken down with a lot of rogues. Paladins stay back and cleanse because the amount of damage they deal is not worth the amount of damage they will take if they melee. In certain situations you may melee (attacking Flamewalker Elites for a bit, for example). Hunters are somewhat useless except against Magmadar, where you need one.MemoryInAGarden said:From most damage meters in parties that I've seen (maybe I've just been having poor Warlocks in pickup groups), warlocks often bring up the rear in damage output, unless the imp is out, with the exception of people who are SOLELY healing. There are classes that are much better to suited to back-up healing than the paladin. The druid has a wider range of heals and many times more mana and a higher intelligence than the paladin. A shaman can also back-up heal more effectively than the paladin as they can heal multiple targets at the same time with totems. That means that the shaman himself can heal more with the help of a totem or maybe do something else besides healing if the totem is up and you have an additional healer. IMO, Paladins have the mana to heal themselves and possibly one other person. We aren't full healers, we aren't full tanks, and we aren't damage dealers. A well played paladin can certainly bring more to a group as a whole than a hunter or even a rogue. Rogues have no capacity to buff the group, all they can do is whack away. Hunters have some auras, but these are usually not of much benefit. Neither class can heal at all or tank as well as a paladin. The paladins who are stuck on the rear as priests in plate need to be more assertive in their role as a hybrid class that has the ability to do a lot of what a group needs, and not be so docile as to be the back row cleanse bot.
