whats your dream CPU?

yall mofos have no ambition my dream cpu/s would be 5,000,000 cpus from ti-89 graphing calculators all daisy chained into a massive super computer and powered by a small nuclear reactor and watercooled from a direct pipe straight from the hoover dam...booya what then, LOL. but for real my dream cpu is as follows intel=3.8ghz p4 sock.T or for AMD=either an fx-55 or dual opterons

screw the L2 cache, I want something with multiple megs of L1 cache. That would be awsome. Plus, it would have the ability of running nekid.

Oh no wait. I know! The McDonalds Grease Machine CPU. It's fueled by the grease from McDonalds food. Not only does it do 50ghz at 10c and can be oc'd to 100ghz at only an increase of 5c, but if you supersize your meal, that's more grease, and you'll get an easy 200ghz clockspeed at 20c which is well below optimum thermal temperatures. Not to mention you'll get 75 miles to the gallon with the bad boy.

Too far? That was a weird dream. I ate some cold pizza before I went to bed that night.

that last line made the entire post work ;)

3.2 or 3.4 Extreme Edition (478 pin) with unlocked multipliers, which hits 3.9-4.0Ghz on AIR COOLING!! :)

So I can run it at 300Mhz FSB x 13 = 3.9Ghz

Or maybe 285 FSB x 14 for 4Ghz. Though the bandwidth isnt as good.

I wasn't sure about the gigahertz thing so thanks for the heads-up. I guess you must not be a video card guy because then you would have gotten that I was joking - the Volari Duo is a complete JOKE!! It costs about $450 and gives you the performance of a radeon 9600. :p

http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/video/display/xgi-volari.html

just read that review... interesting and highly disappointing. it looks like xgi has their work cut out for them, though.

it actually looks like they won't have too much trouble fixing the problems tho... their real challenge will be getting performance to the levels of the nvidia and ati cards that are just coming out.

i'm not gonna gunk up this thread any further on that... don't want to hijack it. but i would enjoy seeing a thread devoted to volari and what they need to fix... pm me the link if you do make it, Norske.
