I'm FINALLY getting off my ass to set up my long-awaited quad core system:

Mobo: ASUS P5Q deluxe or Rampage Formula (will use other mobo with 2nd 8400 build)
CPU cooler: Xigamatek 1283 or Tuniq Tower
Video card: EVGA 260 GTX
Memory: 4gb Gskill memory
Hard Drives: WE 640gb OS drive; WD 1Tb black for storage
DVD burners: Samsung and Pioneer DVD burners
Power supply: Corsair 620 HX
Case: Either Coolermaster 690 or Gigabyte Aurora 570

The "problem" I have is that I have 2 Quads; retail; NIB:

Q6600 GO (older purchase; pack date about a year ago)
Q 9450

Which of these 2 Quads would you keep and why?
I would sell the other quad

I'd keep the Q9450. Faster and a respectable overclocker.

Keep the 9450. Like Danny said, more reliable. As for the storage hard drive, is there a particular reason why you picked the black? Keep in mind that it runs hotter and a bit louder than the green and blue, and if you plan to only be using the drive for storage, I would probably go with the green.

thanks for the heads up on the black WD. I also have a Seagate and Samsung 1tb (storage junkie here:D) so I can use those instead.

No problem. Just figure you don't need the trade-off of extra heat/power consumption for speed that you won't be using (storage).
