Wow, I am surprised at 1920x1200 numbers. I use a 24 personally and I love it.

1920x1200 on a Soyo DYLM24D6 24" widescreen LCD, and until recently 1880x1440 x2 on a pair of 21" CRTs. Also have a standard aspect Samsung SyncMaster 204B 20" LCD that runs 1600x1200.

Because you can use supersampling as well as max out AA, AF and in game settings max on most anything. I use the advnaced draw distance mod in Conan and believe me when I say you need it for that. Besides, 1280x720 does not appear to be that low to me. With the headroom I have I can use high aa and still get smooth framerates and in the end it looks great to my eyes. Kills the PS3 and 360 by far. If I decide to upgrade my DLP set to 1080p I will be ready however I am a framerate whore. Want max setting and smooth frames so I choose a high end card, over clocked quad to 3.6 and the 280. I had an 8800- Ultra and even at 720p Tartania (spelling) docks in Conan would run in the 20's when crowded now its in the mid 40's with 16Qaa. Glad I bought it.

I do 1680x1050 with a 22" monitor. I've drooled over getting a 24" monitor, but 1920x1200 would mean a faster video card if I want to keep the speed I'm accustomed to in all of my games. Plus I think 22" is "big enough" for me, at least for now.

[H] moving on up....

I have only had my24" Soyo for a while, but when I was assembliing the new rig, using my old 19" Soyo was kinda sad....

1680x1050 20" widescreen. I'm getting tired of it though and want to get a 24" sometime this year.

8800GT and a Sony fw900 FTW!

I do 1920x1200 in most games, although I wish the refresh rate was better.

Subtract one vote from 20-22" Widescreen (1680x1050) and add it to 24-27" Widescreen (1920x1200). I just upgraded to a 26" 1920x1200 LCD.

Can't afford a 24" and the unending graphics card upgrades to keep up with modern games @ 1920x1200... (note: I refuse to turn settings down very much before I declare my card "old.") 22" Acer works great though.

[H] Seems to be ahead of the curve. When it comes to the general population the bell curve would probably be shifted a notch or two down. Or so I think.

I don't know about that. Attending LAN parties, most people seem to have either 22" or 24" monitors. Only a few are still stuck with 19" LCD's.

And what exactly do people who attend lan parties have to do with the general population?

42" westinghouse 1920x1080. Tried going back to my dell 24" and using the westinghouse only as an hdtv, but 24" has now become far too small. I don't think I would even want a 30" for the 2560x1600 res. A 1920x1080 res seems great to me and the huge screen is really easy on my eyes.
