What has better longevity?

...but you can't stream HD from Netflix.

100% incorrect, you can stream HD Netflix through the 360, I'm doing it currently. Netflix detects your network speed when starting a movie and will stream HD if you have 4-5Mbps connection. At $8 a month, its unmatched for watching HD content. I dont have the desire to spend hundreds/thousands building a Blu Ray library when I only want to watch tv/movies every so often. Plus they're always there if I want to replay them :)

I cancelled my television service, and live completely off Netflix for both tv/movies. $8 a month. Thats a lot cheaper than $90 a month for tv, +buying movies (or paying to rent)

I love hd movies through netflix, and TV shows. Whoever gave this guy info sure didn't know what they were talking about.

Netflix is great, but you can't stream HD from Netflix. You will be able to stream HD from XBL soon, but not yet. I don't think that's coming until later this year. Also, don't expect the latest releases to be available to stream. The selection isn't incredibly large when comparing to their DVD catalog.
.

Wrong.

short version of what is stated below (i own both consoles)
ps3 controller is more accurate and quick to aim than the 360 controller imo
360 controller is more comfortable
xbox live is way better than ps3s online and playstation home is worthless
xboxs break. . . alot... ps3s dont
So. . . if you like single player games.. go ps3... if u like the online stuff. . . go xbox... longetivity? ps3.

how can people like the 360 controller over the ps3? sure its more comfortable... but the dead zone on the 360 joysticks is HUGE compared to the ps3... i'm twice as accurate and twice as fast at aiming on a ps3 controller. . . . that said 360s live is WAAAAY better than ps3s. . . i own both and i buy all my popular multiplayer shooting games for 360 because the live is better and that is what my friends get and we do alot of 360 lan games..... but i buy most my single player games for ps3 because I prefer the controller and because my ps3 isn't going to break on me and always runs smooth... . . . my first xbox died after about 4 months... i sent it in and it took them 3 months to get me a new one... i plug in the new one they sent me and its graphics card is broken... i still havent sent it back in because its probably just going to take them another 3 months to get me a new one....

i do not notice any difference in the accuracy of either controller. They both work the same for me......and what is this dead zone you talk about? maybe ur controller is broken?

The USA gets everything for a fraction of what we do man. We get fucked over for everything.....

Thanks for the advice guys, I decided to get a 360. I love the feature-set of the PS3, but I found out 3 friends are hardcore XBL players, and 4 more are getting it this holiday season. Makes it a no-brainer for me now, especially since I literally know nobody who has a PS3.
