Hey everyone! I have my processor OCed to like 2.8GHz in the BIOS, but windows reports it as being 3.0GHz......

The NVidia tuner and windows system properties windows both report it to be 3.0, but when my system first starts up, the bios screen says it's 2.8.

Which is it?!?! 3DMark also reported it as 3.0. What the heck is going on?

What does CPU-Z say? You should be able to see what the bus speed is set at to get to 3.0Ghz, and you should know what you set it at in bios :).

If you're using a non-standard multiplier (i.e. lower than what it is spec'ed for) many programs get confused and report higher processor speeds than what is actually in use.) CPU-Z (latest version - 1.38) has always reported the correct clock for the CPU whenever I've used it. Just use CPU-Z to get your correct reading and ignore everything else.

CPU-Z shows what I thought it would: 2.7!

I'm using 8x instead of 9x as my multiplier. I'm just shocked that 3dmark doesn't check it NOR does the nVidia software.

Odd. Thanks guys!
