WASD / ESDF Question For PC Gamers

I'm on a Das Ultimate with browns right now. I'm a typing enthusiast which was part of the reason for starting this thread. We all know the "Wax on, wax off" scene from Karate Kid. I think typing is a gamer's wax-on wax-off. (ooo, pithy!)

It makes little sense to have perfected all these typing motions in my work life, and then handicap myself in games by sliding the hand position (and thus my mental map) over by one key.

Occasionally a game doesn't allow remapping and I find this theory confirmed.

What exactly does a typing enthusiast do?

Not to sound like an asshole, but after reading all these insane controls, I now know why a lot of people are awful online.

WASD, middle finger on W. I have poor control over my ring finger, so it's delegated to Tab and A.

ESDF

I bind weapons to Q,W, R, T, A and G

what the weapons are, depends on the game :)

waay back in UT, R = Rocket Launcher, W was my Shock Rifle, q = Flak, T was sniper rifle.
A was macro talk = Shield picked up, regen in 1:30, same with Keg O'Goodness (G), armor (v) and small armor.

still play with ESDF just because of all the weapon binds.

WASD Middle Finger W. I'd go for ESDF if my hands were a little bigger probably.

I use this finger for W.
