Virtual Human Head Is Creepy-Cool

More like a muppet head the way they have it moving. I didn't realize that everyone moved the top of their head instead of their jaw when talking, but seeing on this model it makes a lot of sense.

just think of online chats how many people will hide behind avatars.

If I could run something like this (a more perfected and fluid version) on a local server as an assistant, that might actually be quite nice. Give it AI and it could be my greatest tool.

I would have to have complete control....no cloud, no Microsoft, no Apple, no government....otherwise, no dice.

That would be awesome to have.

I'd probably end up turning it into Hatsune Miku using the Vocaloid software for voices, and using MMD for the model. It'd be like those virtual assistants in most sci-fi anime shows. :D

As a guy, I would prefer a device that limits how much women talk, not increases my exposure to it synthetically.

So apparently none of you people know who Max Headroom is. I'm starting to feel old...

Shit like this makes me think that it won't be all that strange when I am killed at the hands of a cyborg or something.

I wasn't going to say anything about that but.....
I have all the Max movies and vids.....even a coke commercial

Her teeth widening and narrowing is really <strike>annoying</strike> disturbing. Hard to stay focused on tech part.

Comparing her face to the faces of the two real guys shows how much farther they have to go to get out of the uncanny valley. It's a long way. Even the imperfections have to be perfect.

The camera angle is the most annoying thing IMO... 2nd would be that her head looks like it's about to explode

In a way this reminds me of the scene in the movie "Looker" where they create a virtual copy of Susan Dey's character.
Corny movie but i liked it...lol
