Video Cards (o rly?)

Yes. Rly. Okay folks. I am finally getting a new video card. But, I can't choose which. Not quite ready to buy a new MB and CPU, so I am going to stay with an AGP card. I was thinking along the lines of a 6800 or an x800 (i think they made those for AGP) I just want a really good card. what do you think?
 
get what I got x800 pro vivo . after flashing and OC little other then 7800 or x1800 can touch it.
 
For the top of the range, get an X850XT or XTPE. If you can't afford that, get a 6800GT.
 
I just bought myself a 6800 vanilla to replace my GF4. Should be here today or tomorrow :D
 
freakin' a, man. nice. I shall defenatly do that. yesterday I got my new dvd burner and 2nd stick of 512 ram. once I get this card i will have a decent little set up here.
 
For 200 dollars i would get the 6800...if possible by the 6800GT...to bad you where a bit late..i just sold my BFG 6800GTOC AGP for $275
 
Ahhh.. I wasn't OT, it's clearly in the thread's title. :D

Anyhow, I'm going to parrot others when I say 6800GT/X800XL. I had a X800XL and it was nothing short of magnifico. Theinq has "reported" that 6800GS's are going AGP. :eek:
 
You can probably get a good deal buying used out of the FS/FT forum. 6800's go for maybe $150 and you already know if they unlock or not. For what it's worth, I've never had a card unlock right for me. I always get artifacts even on the cards that are supposed to be guaranteed unlocks :). One of these days I'll get the right kind ;).
 
:rolleyes: dont get a NU for $180. You can get a 6800GS for $199. Much better. You'll probably get 6800GT performance out of it. and it will beat that x800pro.
