UPS Driver Caught On Camera

For my deliveries UPS is great, FEDX Ground sucks, bad. My UPS delivery person, a woman, is always courteous and extremely professional. The FEDX driver is horrible. I bought an audio cabinet off the net. It was two packages the weighed a total of 120 pounds. I was home waiting on the packages.The lazy ass delivery person, a woman, had the nerve to not even try to come to my door. She simply dumped them at my apartment complex office, then claimed she tried to deliver and even left a delivery notice on my door. Both were lies. I called the FEDX hub and complained to the manager. He acted like he really didn't give a damn.
 
This is why I no longer buy OEM hard drives. Packaging instructions from one of all of our favorite vendors: put drive in box, pour peanuts OVER it, tape.
 
What I personally love is getting UPS delivered at my work. Between all the vendors that ship via UPS to us, we get approximately 200-300 boxes a day. Some of the things they send via UPS makes no damn sense, such as a 30 piece order of TV's that could have been shipped on skids via UPS Freight if they really wanted to stay within the company as a shipper, or a 40 box order of Monster Cable.

Why do I love this? Cause they have this same poor guy haul ass 20 minutes out to his next stops to make Next Day Air deliveries that only have a few boxes here or there, that need to be delivered by no later than 10:30, and he's lucky if he makes it to our dock by 9:15 due to traffic. He told us that once he hauls ass out of our parking lot he is still sweating bullets when its 10:29 and the last next day air delivery is already in the process of being signed for.
 
I work out of my house so i take deliveries almost daily, I know my driver (same guy for 5 years living in 3 different houses) and I've even got his cell phone number in case there's a big problem. On days where I have a few big boxes coming in I actually go out and help him unload my stuff. If you sign a waiver they can just leave stuff on the doorstep- might work in some situations.

I hate to see stuff like this, and I definitely have sympathy for those that have crappy service- if I had service like that it would make my life a living hell.
 
UPS is really pissing me off (they've always been, but it's getting worse lately). I was suppose to get a package today (was sent Dec. 26) and never got it! Instead, my sister got here replacement phone, so he obviously checked his truck.

I swear, if they sent my package elsewhere.. I'm going to be so freakin' pissed. :eek:

I know that this past summer on my way to work I passed a house that was selling a used FedEX truck. It still had the FedEX logo and everything on it. One could have easily purchased the truck, got a similar uniform to the FedEX personal and used it for something like this, or to trick people into thinking they were really with FedEX and then do something like rob them.

I can say this...I dont believe for one minute that its viral marketing. I watched from my friends dinning room table along with him as a UPS truck pulled up to the end of his 70 foot long driveway, the dude stepped out of his truck and procedded to hurl 3 envelopes one at a time that all sqarely hit and thumped the front door, hopped into the truck and took off. What was in those thick envelopes? Brand new cell phones that my friend and his wife were waiting for. Of the 3, 2 needed to be RMAed.
I have built custom computers for years. About 70% of all parts from Newegg and Zipzoomfly by way of Fedex. Fedex deliveries have never had to be RMA'ed. I cant tell you how many UPS delivered itemes had to be returned since the boxes usually come looking like world war three btoke out on the box alone and spared all of us. Iv watched them drop monitors onto the ground from the back of the truck. I even had one dude drop one on the ground from standing hight right in front of me back in the day of using good old CRT's.
 
^^ Agreed. I've never had an issue with FedEx.

Actually, sometimes if I catch them early before they leave I am able to get a "have a nice day" in. UPS just plops the package down (sometimes without ringing the doorbell) and scurries over to his next delivery.

I still remember when my mom told me that she saw the UPS man tossing my package as he was approaching the door. If I had seen that, I'm sure he wouldn't be doing that ever.. ever... again. :eek:

Anyways, I did get the package that I said that didn't come today.. but at 8PM! That's bullocks as seeing how the UPS man had to come twice?
 
I forget what I ordered, but I got delivery notices stuck on my door two days in a row. I was at work, so I figured they stopped. The third day I was off, and I waited from 9am until 6pm before I went anywhere. The two stickers said they'd try back between 10am and 2pm, or something like that.

I left at 6, came back at ~6:45, and guess what's waiting on my doorstep. Yup, my package that hadn't been delivered before because they "needed" my signature. That one really pissed me off.

Other than that I've had fairly good luck with UPS. They did hide a package in the bush near my door one day, but that one made me laugh for some reason.
 
That was an epic toss. What would make it damn near perfect would be if he hit the doorbell or not.
 
Just makes you wonder what happens to your package for the rest of the trip.
 
Oh and I have to say I usually have a good experience with UPS, but I got to know the delivery guys a bit and have everything delivered to my place of business. Rarely is the package not placed directly into my hands.......That just sounds wrong. I know one of the problems though. Because of their union it's damn near impossible to fire an employee no matter what they do.
 
UPS wrecked 2 case side panels in a row i ordered from Newegg, finally had to order one from Performance-PCS where they actually box up the retail box rather than slapping a sticker on it like Newegg do. Otherwise, my packages usually survive the football-esque treatment they endure :D

Check your tracking number. I also had a few different packages ship the 26th surprisingly and they were all delayed by UPS.
 
I live on a 3rd floor and I have bought a few things from the egg and the UPS driver that works this route always shows at the door carrying several boxes on a carrying truck. Always asks to sign that the item has been delivered.
 
I actually prefer UPS over the other carriers. They hide the package on my front porch if a sig isn't needed for delivery.

They've been doing it for years and no complaints from me. :)
 
I've never had this problem with UPS. What he did is just fucking childish and only creates a problem for the person receiving the package and UPS who will obviously have to replace whatever he breaks. It would have taken him mere seconds to walk to the door. We can only hope he gets fired and never gets another delivery job.
 
how come he delivers something without even getting the signature of the precipitant.....what if a thief stole the pack , then how he would prove that he delivered the item???

Which goes to prove that people can be the same POS anywhere you go. You always have to enforce them to be responsible.

You should really grab a camera and post the hundreds of youtube worthy incidents you see EVERY time you see a UPS driver do this EXACT same thing.
 
UPS has left over the years at least 3-4 packages in the snow with no bag or anything or on my steps in the rain.

Ive also had a HD left in the snow , ruined.
 
I've had UPS do the notice without knock while I'm home thing at least twice, I bought an ipod that came in a heavy large box, luckily, since there was a hole through it, right through 4 inches of padding, and into the inner box, just barely missing the unit itself.
I order things USPS as much as possible. I've never had damage problems or random no knocks, and free saturday delivery to boot!
 
If UPS had done anything similar to me that took place in that video, I'd have to find him. ;)
 
Here the UPS delivery driver walks up to the door, puts the package down, rings the doorbell and hauls ass back to his truck to get back onto his route. Often my dog sounds the alarm that someone is walking up to the house and I am already halfway to the door when it rings, and the guy is almost always back in his truck already when I open the door pick up the package.
I can't remember when the last time he has asked for it to be signed, almost everything is left on the bench next to the door, even a $2000 laptop.
 
The UPS guy in my neighborhood doesn't even right my bell. If he does, he just rings it once and writes the DC form.
 
I prefer USPS and Fedex for receiving and shipping out products.
UPS, always late as HELL 7pm?:confused:
 
Someone should send that to Newegg. Newegg is one of UPS's biggest customers.
 
this doesn't surprise me in the least, and i kinda wonder if they don't sometimes do the same thing when i get deliveries sometimes......

i hate UPS worse than any of the major shippers, with exception of DHL.

UPS routinely leaves packages sitting on the top rail of my deck at my house, which is about 30 ft away from a major roadway, and anyone driving by could see it there and stop to pick it up and take off again in about 15 seconds. i mean, if they're taking the time to go up the steps on my deck to leave the package there, couldn't they at least leave it down on the floor of the deck, behind the lattice-work or under my BBQ pit, where it's not visible from the street?

also, they almost ALWAYS deliver late in the afternoon/evening....i rarely ever get any of my packages from them earlier than 5:30pm.

and there have been packages that have been marked as "Signature Required".....they come up to the door and knock once, extremely lightly, then by the time i get up out of the chair to go to the door, only 15 feet away, they're already driving down the road by the time the door is open.

fedex in my area is a lot better than UPS.....they actually come up to the door and wait for me to answer, as well as sign for packages.....if they have to leave the package by the door, they make sure it's well hidden from the street....and i've yet to see a package come from fedex that looks like it was dropped off the empire state bldg.
 
I usually use FedEx, Purolator,and DHL they are the only company who hasn't lost anything or ever late. UPS is by far the worse, I've had packages lost and been denied by customer support that the driver never picked it up. Canadapost (USPS equivalance) have lost several items before, atleast my money was refunded.

We had a little dog who was all bark and no bite, especially to people not normally in our house. Well everytime the driver came by, he tried to get on the dogs good side. He even brought doggie treats a few times :D Great guy.
 
Sounds very similar to my ups guy, The fam got him a $20 best buy gift card for his awesome work for the year. Hey it might be nothing, but its the thought that counts :cool:

It's not uncommen that UPS/FedEx drivers keep dog treat with them. Them get chased by dogs all the time with their job. My FedEx driver also keeps dog treats in her truck but she I think she is terrified of dogs.
