It will work and is a good choice. You might also look at this one http://www.provantage.com/tripp-lite-omnivs800~7TRPL1EY.htm doesn't have the LCD but will give you a little better up time while still being a nice AVR Line Interactive true sine UPS. Only thing really better Tripplite carries is their trueonline series...but a bit pricey for most home users.

How is ProVantage as a vendor? The Vendor I was going to use is one we have at work, and shipping is way too expensive.

I like them a lot. I use them all the time since they have a ton of warehouses and will ship from the manufacturer as well. Their resellerratings have always been weirdly low....but I have used them for....10 years maybe longer now and they have been really good. Their accoutn reps are great, and they package well (even able to survive UPS shipping).

Well... you can get it elsewhere, but Tiger had it the cheapest.

And what do you know about Ultra and their UPS's anyway?

On a side note, I think I just found me a new place to shop. I am really liking ProVantage so far. Shipping costs are very reasonable.

And noone has the LCD's for the same price as the OMNI....

Yes, I did take a look. The OMNI900LCD is actually the same price as the one the OP linked to.

Not to argue with you are per se but froogle turns up noone selling the OMNI900LCD for 89 like the OMNIVS800 at provantage I linked.

The price is not the same.

900 you linked to is $119.99

650 I linked to is $99.95 which I bought from ProVantage for $94.69.

http://www.provantage.com/tripp-lite-omni650lcd~7TRPL1KA.htm

I am not looking for anything bigger as power outages generally are very short here 5 minutes or less usually....or for days..:)

It's all good. I was just stating that the OMNI900LCD sells for $99.95 at PCConnection, which is the same price as the 650 that Met-AL linked to over at PCConnection. Provantage actually sells the OMNI900LCD for $89.26. :)

The 900 I linked to wasn't the best price around. If was just to show an alternate one. If you look at PCConnection, the OMNI900LCD is $99.95, the same price as the one you posted. That's all I was trying to get across. Oh, and btw, the 900 is $89.26 at Provantage. ;)

I'm was just trying to help you find the best deal.
