I bought from him a SSD Crucial BX100 SSD 500GB for 80$. :( . She/he said he will ship it last weekend but i haven't hear anything from him. Yesterday i email asking for tracking number, he said he was too busy and will give me tracking number when get back home. Today i email him again without any answer so i came here and see this theard.

Ok yep we're screwed, that's what I paid for too.

yeah, i'm thinking about this too. Anyone can anyone enlighten us both on this?

I'm pretty sure you will still get paid. She will owe Paypal and get sent to collections. Or it will overdraw the bank account she used and she'll owe the bank. Either way it ruins her credit.

I'd like that not only her credit gets ruined

According to PayPal, I'm covered under the buyer protection program.

I pray to God that you're right, also called It Works Global (where she is a distribuitor - states on facebook) and they told me that there is no way of knowing her or a phone no.

But i think the FBI will be able to track her down :)))))

WHAT the hell are people thinking??? Why would you go to prison for a couple thousand $???

If it's a million, it might worth it, but for such a small amount... Phew!

Again, file a complaint and let's make a model out of her so next time when we buy on this forum, we'll make sure no one even thinks of scamming! It will take not more than 10 minutes!

Another proof that heatware means jack!

Damn i'm so mad at myself !!!

Well heatware is proof of past behavior, anyone can become a criminal.
Heatware is better than nothing.

Then call the cops in her town and file a complaint. She's a crook, so do something about it. The fact that you have her name and hometown are huge.

I'm an international buyer.... I'm hoping you guys will do what can be done locally, i will contact Paypal and my CC

Exactly! Sadly, i'm currently in Europe so i only did what i could from here: filed a complaint at Internet Crime Complaint Center. If you could get in touch with the PD, that would help a lot to get our money back!

The more complaints, the bigger the interest and the resolve (PayPal, CC, PD)!!!

Also, what was the email she gave you for paypal? Hope at least that's the same because if not, than ooooooooh boy! We're screwed!

I contacted the person she bought that gtx460 and linked him this thread, maybe he can give the address he shipped it to.

I bought alot of things from our member here in the last 2 weeks. And i was gonna bought the last SSD from her, and i got scam. :( . I hope paypal will refund me soon.

Kyle, sorry about posting the email. I thought that in this situation we could. No problem, wont do i again.

I'm guessing it was her High School aged kid. His email name links to his FB and his Google+ account.

She/he has a youtube channel with alot of kid stuff. I thought he was a father so he would not scam anyone.

Yeah, that makes sense. I contacted he/she through google+ acc.
I contacted my bank manager and she will see what can be done, opening a call with the cc.

No luck! Closed for now. I'll try again tommorrow.

Ok so i tracked his purchase of that Palit 460, the seller still has his address.
Its the same one as he/she placed in the box he/she sent me, so its a valid address.

But it has a dudes name and a different surname as my package (in picture) "Insco", mine had Costanza (maybe a joke?)
I asked for the paypal details of how he paid the 460

If this was her son, I bet a simple message on Facebookto her from one of the victims could possibly get everyone's money back. Especially if calling the police is mentioned. When I was in the military, a kid staying in our barracks tried to scam some people on speakers or something. One of the victims called base MP Desk. They contacted his commanding officer. Shit rolled down hill. Needless to say he returned their money post haste.

Not saying this will go that way since it's not military, but I bet a little police scare could get the ball rolling.

Messaged her about an hour ago on FB, no reply yet. Told her about the PayPal and the CC, but i think someone calling the PD would definitely help.

Let's hope we'll get our money back.

Sorry my shitty Palit 460 GTX ended up in one of your hands because this guy's a scam artist. I will help in any way I can. I still have all PM conversations and paypal details from the transaction back in 2013.

Yeah man, you were instrumental in finding the dudes actual name, at least we can verify his address name of April and his.

He used the same paypal account all the way back in 2013, his GF/wife account maybe.

I've sent Paul a message in fb, similar to the one i sent April.
Thanks

Anytime. If you look at April's page you can see a picture that says "April <3 Paul" so my guess is that's him.

Actually, i got the box of the Palit, the actual card is an even lower one :)))

I'm not sure what because a friend of mine received it and was supposed to bring it to me :))))

So it's even better

L.E: Took a closer look at the photos he sent me, it's a PNY 8400GS :)))))) GAME ON! :)))

Ok, you guys can escalate your claims to paypal (I just did).

Have your 16 digit case # ready.
1. Go to https://www.paypal.com/selfhelp/home
2. Click "Call Us"
3. Note the "passcode" and call the number above it
4. You'll go through an automation process, when it gives you the chance, just say "escalate claim"
5. Enter your case #
6. Wait for paypal to review case, submit any information (if and when you can) for proof

Thanks for the info. I think I'll be doing this tonight, rather than waiting until later.

Did you mention that the local police could be involved?

ok guys, maybe we need to band up with our testimonies, i called paypal and they said considering my account age, the fact that could be other disputes with the seller and more information from you guys it could help. Whats the best way we could create our reports about everything?

Like is it better to save HTML or create screenshots of the PMs, link this thread and also post screenshots, so everything is documented in a way that paypal could see that we are right.

I'll submit my escalation tonight. I've had PayPal for at least a decade, and I'll give the thread and mention that there are a few of us.

I'll put together every piece of info i have and will email it to you along with my paypal email (so they can see i opened dispute). Will send you screens of all the conversations + screens of the usps shipment + photos of what i received.

Thanks!

Anyone else that what's to get fraud data from other users can pm me their email and we will share everything there. I'll get captures of every bit of information I have

That's exactly the problem: the prices were right on the edge, 20-30$ lower, so it was plausable. :(

Let's just hope we can get our money back. Will be sending complete email to "douglatins" so we can join hands and weight a little more for paypal to get our money back. Wish you guys will do the same.

Cheers!

Yeah, the issue was that the prices were certainly within "reason" as Jet.com had the deals where you could get a new GTX 980 Ti for around $520-$570. I didn't go with Jet due to tax (killed the whole deal), and probably, the folks here who had interest in the 980Ti had similar reasoning.

We can pool our case # together and let paypal go on that if they need more proof?

yeah that can be smart, mine is Case #PP-004-396-376-367, post yours

i have captured every conversation, printed every email from you guys in pdf, and created a text file with links to threads and heatware
