Uncharted 4

you have low standards? or see through rose colored glasses? Nobody has ever raved about the gameplay in any ND games, its all about the story and character development. Which is fine if thats what you enjoy

No it's just great. I had a large community. Probably still does.

"large" community is extremely subjective. Just because you were always able to find matches doesn't make the community large. Ill be impressed once they show concurrent user numbers that equal or even scratch halo 2's online numbers. Much less a game like dota or wow

There are TONS of games that handle shooting better than the uncharted series. Hell just google "uncharted shooting mechanics" and every single result on the first page will be about how poor they are

I did, don't see much other than when UC3 had the bad aiming before the patched it.

And yes, it was a large online community. Maybe not CoD large but I had no problems finding matches.

Also co-op is damn fun time with friends.

Can we get away from how the "shooting mechanics" are whether they are good or not? The series in itself is fantastic.

yeah ok lets ignore anything negative anyone has to say about the game, are you a ND employee or what?

Nope, I just play games I find enjoyable. The shooting mechanics aren't so bad as to say it makes the game crap now does it?

Does it make you fume that I enjoy something you don't? Lol.

Saying nobody should say anything negative about the game because you find it acceptable is absurd. Almost like it makes you fume that i dont like something that you do. The shooting absolutely to me makes the game crap, i couldnt even force myself to complete a single one of them thanks to the piss poor shooting. Same with TLOU. ND would make great filmmakers but are pure average game makers

Cool. I'm not fuming though. But you calling me an ND employee, as well as a Bungie employee sure makes it like you take things to heart ;). So which is it? No need to answer as I know you're just trying to get into a pissing match. Btw, I feel the same for all Xbox exclusives. all average dude-bro games for the kids. Are they fun? Maybe. But their story lines are pure laughable.

ND makes great games to me. Say what you want, but after 2-3x posting the same thing over and over, the message is clear. You're just trying to push your own agenda onto anything and everything, eh? Keep on keepin' on brotha.

Naughty Dog do seem to excel at cinematic, character driven games versus pure shooting or game-centric designs

What agenda? Your saying because im replying to other peoples replies to my initial post is pushing my agenda? God forbid i actually reply to people who directly quoted me. The only person starting the pissing match here is you. There is absolutely no reason why someone on these boards cannot post their opinion on what area a game/developer needs to improve upon their previous games, thats pure shilling. And ironically, youve posted in the Destiny board saying your not likely to continue playing it due to the lack of content, interesting. You only figured it out months later than me, way to keep up

Here we go again! "shilling" is the top of your dictionary. I get it, we all get it, you don't like the shooting mechanics. That still does not make the game crap, as there are MANY games that have worse shooting mechanics. The game has "serviceable" shooting mechanics. The story, cinematics, and everything about it still makes it a great game.

Take Mad Max: Fury Road for example. I thought the movie was complete shite, yet the majority seems to love it. Different tastes for everyone.

And yes it is pushing an agenda, judging by your past posts for Sony and Microsoft related topics.

When it comes to shills... I'm sure everybody knows who is the actual one between the two. But I digress. Don't want you to get warned again :). Btw, if you could quote where I said I stopped due to lack of content I would like to know. All I've said was I finally got burnt out? But thanks for showing you care :).

You got burnt out by doing the same things over and over and over and over again, yup id say thats due to a lack of content, no other way to interpret it. there is absolutely no reason for you to be in this thread saying i shouldnt be responding to people who quote me, absolutely none. And saying that we shouldn't be discussing the that the shooting mechanics are poor is shilling, there is absolutely NO OTHER way to interpret that. Lets just start removing and censoring posts that say anything negative about a game that you enjoy, how bout that? Thats exactly how your stating things  Get a clue, your opinion isnt the only one that matters in this world

We get it Vlad, Naughty Dog makes terrible games.

I don't think uncharted shooting or mechanics is even remotely as bad as you make it out to be. Uncharted is at its best the level design allows you to flank and get a drop on dudes in different ways, i think the train sequence in uncharted 2 is a good example of it.

I don't see the relation tlou. TLou the weapons had recoil, hit hard and had good feedback with nice gore effects, uncharted certainly feels quite different and more like arcade shooter

If you want to jump on a game for piss poor shooting it should be GTAV, especially compared to how good it was in red dead.

Ive actually commented about GTAV's shooting before as well, so i got you covered on that one :D

I never thought the shooting in Uncharted was that bad. I'd call it serviceable. It's not great but it's not terrible either. It works for what it needs to do and don't take away from the game being fun. That said, I would like ND to improve it. Five games (counting TLOU and the Vita game) with the same serviceable gunplay should eventually lead to some improvements.

It's only an issue in Uncharted 3, where it was literally broken.

Thanks. Exactly what I said, serviceable and not terrible as some would like to make it out to be.

Did you guys see the demo crash during the PlayStation E3 live stream? Their live gameplay reveal started over mid-playthrough.

Serviceable != good. If the games plot/character development wasn't as good as it is people would be shredding the game based on the shooting mechanics. Just because you deal with it for other aspects of the game doesnt make the shooting mechanics any better. Play through it skipping every cutscene and come back and tell me how "serviceable" the shooting is.

The fact is this is the 1 area that ND has shown little to no improvement in, when they need to. Dont crucify me for pointing out a devs weak point saying that it needs to be improved just because you dont agree with it or care about the gameplay in their games as much. Thats absurd.

Im not even the only person whos said the shooting was below par in this thread, why dont you treat them the same way at tell them to gtfo of the thread?

UC4 multiplayer beta stream by Naughty Dog earlier today...

http://www.twitch.tv/naughtydog/v/27973811

December 4th through December 13th...those are the dates the exclusive Uncharted 4 Multiplayer Beta will be available to everyone with a copy of Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection and a PlayStation Plus membership

Really don't understand why they waste time and resources on this multiplayer BS for a franchise like Uncharted.

Yar, I'm not too familiar with the multiplayer scene for Naughty Dog games - but I, for one, picked them up for the single player experience.

I put 100+ hrs into multiplayer. It's great. Maybe you should try it instead of just judging it.

no one's looking forward to the MP beta this coming week?...or maybe a lot of people don't own the Nathan Drake Collection so they can't play it?...I can't say I'm dying to play it either but I'll probably check it out...

Uncharted 4 Gets Tons of New Info On Multiplayer

Not really. The MP in the previous titles felt tacked on and pretty stale. TBH i don't know why they don't just put those resources into the SP campaign.

Anyone get to play the MP beta?

How was it? I got a chance to view a few moments on twitch. Looked okay.

Uncharted 4 Story Trailer...

From what I can tell, this will probably be one of the best looking games out for a while until something on PC beats it. Those graphics seen in that video are definitely in-game since Naughty Dog has always utilized the in-game engine for their cut-scenes. I remember even on the PS3 while playing The Last Of Us just looking around at the incredible attention to detail. Naughty Dog really knows how to utilize Sony hardware. I preordered this after seeing the latest trailer.

Anyone else feel kind of sad that this will be Uncharted's off-into-the-sunset? Saying goodbye to Nathan Drake will be hard. He has even become a Playstation Mascot over the years, and idk about you guys but those characters have such personality that I truly felt vested in them.

the game looks absolutely stunning...character models, lighting etc...will definitely be the best looking PS4 game but don't think it'll beat the best PC has to offer...I only bought a PS4 last year to play Bloodborne but I ended up buying the Nathan Drake Collection remaster of all 3 Uncharted games...first time playing them...the first 2 were excellent while the 3rd wasn't as good but was still enjoyable...excellent series overall with great characters...having only played the series last year I'm not as invested in Nathan Drake as people who started playing the game back in 2007 but I'm still looking forward to seeing how his story ends (if it really is the end)

This is finally THE game that separates the current gen from last gen. Lots of games have looked a bit better, but this one is night and day better...and the old games looked great to begin with.
I'm unbelievably hyped for this. Got my PSN code pre-ordered on Amazon and ready to go.

with Thief's End they're bringing Nate's brother on so hopefully it won't suffer from the same issues Part 3 did where they put too many flashbacks and family drama into Nate's adventure...the Uncharted games are better when they focus on the Indiana Jones type of adventures and leave the soapy storylines behind
