Uncharted 2?

They've REALLY upped the ante on hiding the treasures. After ch4 I've hardly found any, and I do look. Much harder to find them than in Drake's Fortune.

Yeah, I only found 48 during my first play through.

This multiplayer is fucking bullshit. Not even going to lie- I suck ass at it. But are you fucking kidding me? The game is just either suffering from major lag, somehow people are cheating, the perks completely ruin it, or all of the above. It's really starting to get on my fucking nerves how I can load a clip into someone while they put maybe 10 bullets into me from and get an instant kill without a headshot. And are you kidding me? If I shoot someone with a damn shotgun, I EXPECT THEM TO DIE if I have shot them twice within a 10 foot range. Shot a guy 5 TIMES WITH THE DAMN GUN, and NOTHING. Fuck this. Something is very wrong from the beta, and it's ruined it for me.

Don't bother with headshots unless you have a Dragon Sniper.

i'm on the section that takes place in Nepal, so far the SP is fan-freakin-tastic. I'm hooked.

Well I finished it a few minutes ago on hard. The last battle was seriously a bitch and I literally got the last shot off before I died. Fantastic game though and I'm looking forward to playing again on Crushing difficulty.

Now the wait for Uncharted 3 begins... :D

I just finished my first singleplayer run last night. Absolutely the best single player experience I've had since I started gaming 20 years ago when I was 4, lol. I'm not exaggerating in the slightest either. If you own a PS3, you're doing it a dis-service if you don't play this. Unless you hate the action/adventure/platform genre, if you don't like this game, then sell all of your gaming hardware, because you obviously need a new hobby. I really hope they continue this series.

Damn dude, no offense, but I was raping people when I was level 1 and they were level 20 with the perks. The perks aren't drastic enough to make it not fair. Yup, shot gun for me takes one hit when close, don't know what you were doing. I NEVER experience lag, maybe it's your connection? Dude, you just need to practice some more and I'm sure you will get better at it :D

Well, dude, I was raping dudes in the beta when I was level 1 and they were level 23 with perks. Nope, shot gun for me doesn't take one hit when close, and I know what I'm doing because it worked in the beta. I don't think I'll be lagging on an 8mb connection. Dude, there is nothing to practice on.

Leveling in multiplayer sure is slow. So far it seems like the co-op modes are the most efficient way to get experience.

I think the main perk that makes a huge difference is "down the iron sights." The AK is too inaccurate even when aiming without it.

Whoa dude, it's all good Lol :D just keep playing online yo, and things will turn around sooner or later.

^^^ I was being a dick bro.

Do the stats count co-op kills? If so....I guess that is why everyone has huge ratios and why I now have a 1.84 one...

Waste of fucking money, IMO.

Just bought the game this afternoon. Granted, it's top-notch in every way - voice acting is superb, graphics are stunning, levels are gorgeous, etc. However, I can't play it any more. I can't even count the number of times that I've died bullshit deaths because the game wanted me to play it a certain way and I was trying to play it differently. It doesn't do a particularly great job of showing you how it wants to be played, either - it's content to allow you to die, over and fucking over, until you figure out the right way to do a certain thing.

Good example: there's a sequence on a train which culminates in you fighting a mercenary dude. Not particularly noteworthy, because the entire previous 5 minutes have been spent fighting dozens of guys (oh, while also getting shot at by a helicopter). The mercenary dude, however, is apparently a god amongst men. He looks like a normal enough guy. He's not even wearing body armor, unlike half of the dozens of guys you just killed. However, this guy cannot be killed with conventional methods. Actually, scratch that - he can only be killed through extremely conventional methods, like, say, your hands. And a few frag grenades. 8 shotgun blasts directly to the face from less than 10 feet away? Nope! Won't do shit. Dude just giggles at you and kills you with some piddling assault rifle like you just tried tickling him. I'm still not even entirely sure what I did that made the game magically agree that I deserved to get past that fucking part, actually. And there are, I suspect, dozens of parts exactly like that throughout the game, where I have no fucking idea what the goddamn hell I did to beat it.

I'm only halfway through, and I have no inlincation to finish it because I'm not sure I can take dying over, and over, and over until I play the game exactly the way it wants me to play it. Maybe I'm just not hardcore enough, or maybe I'm just playing the game differently than all of these reviewers that are tripping over themselves to call it the best ps3 game evarrrr, but regardless of what it is, I think this was a huge fucking waste of $60. It wants to be even more cinematic than CoD4 while making feints at allowing multiple approaches to a problem, and the middleground of those is that it just gives you the impression that it would be super awesome...if only you could figure out how the fuck it wants you to get through a certain area.

Though I am still waiting for my copy, I played the first uncharted and it was pretty straight forward. Look for pattern, shoot, dodge, repeat. Maybe you set the difficulty too high?

Waste of fucking money, IMO.

I thought that battle with the tougher merc was fairly straight forward but if you're having problems with him, yeah you either need to put the game on easy (or very easy) or just quit because it does get a little tougher towards the end. You'll fight guys way harder out in the open and they come in waves.

I don't consider myself hardcore anymore (getting old or something) but I enjoyed the game a lot, even on hard difficulty (and yes I died a shit ton too). Guess it's just not for you.

What is lame about that train-merc is that you HAVE to hand-to-hand him, and there was no real indication that was the case.

However, you fight him on a really small 'arena' (really only inside the one train car) so unless you're retared you'll figure it out sooner or later, there's just no way you won't get into hand-to-hand when it's so tight, and when you do, you can see from the animations that it's a 'special sequence'. It's clear that the designers though too much about cinema and too little about games in this particular scene.

Yes, I died there a lot before I figured it out, I did think it was very weak that he was basically immortal, but it's like a 10min sequence out of a 12h game.

There are some more of these similar moment where you have to play WITH the game and not against it. If that's something that you find totally unacceptable than yes, this game isn't for you.

I'm at chapter 24 now, gonna complete this game today.

Edit: Or not. I'm at the final battle with Bad Guy and it's "raping my ass" as the kids today would put it. So depressing, I don't know if I'll be able to get through this.

It's not an adventure simulator, it's an action oriented video game. You're not hardcore enough.

Yep, he pounded me pretty good too. The grenade thing brought back some controller twisting memories. Very frustrating on hard and I can't imaging it on crushing difficulty. I was about to explode right before I got my last shot off and boy was I relieved.

I just bought Uncharted 2 and I find it very fun although inferior to Batman AA...

There's a video here of someone doing it (very well) on crushing (I'm on Hard).

I've been reading about a 'ledge trick' where you could hang on a ledge and he wouldn't be able to hit you. I dunno... I might give that a few minutes to see if there's something to that.

OMG I hate this! I got him thrice-angry (so I guess 9 of 12 hits or something), then I ran too close to some resin, which he shots, killing me instantly.

What the hell is wrong with game designers and final fights, why must it always be something completely orthogonal to what you've been doing 99.99% of the game?

No luck finding the Mythical Ledge either.

I had no real problem with the last fight, just ran around in circles and shot some resin when he got close. I died the first time because he caught up to me and after the little melee event i ran right into him rather than away.

So who here has the highest level in multiplayer? Do you start getting more experience as you get higher levels? I'm only level 11 and it seems like I only get a fraction of a level each game. If it's going to take 30-50 games to get a level later on, I'm just not going to bother.

I was around level 40 in the public beta. You don't earn more experience in higher levels, and you don't need to if you know what you're doing.

Also, am I the only one who found the story of Drake's Fortune more charming?

This is my feeling. I've unloaded on people point blank with an AK or M4, watching blood splatter from their body, only to have them not die. I was hoping the Down the Iron's perk would help things out but I'm starting to tire of multiplayer so I don't know if I'll make it to level 14 to equip the perk. The single player was great though and well worth the money.

Well, after having gotten to within one or two hits on him several more times, I did the ledge trick and I'm not even ashamed of it.

Game completed.

My tip is to watch the video, following the top players to see what they do.

My tip for picking up the Gun Trophies and some other odds and ends, is to buy and enable infinite ammo and then play that room in chapter 25 ("Broken Paradise") that you get to after the long-long stairs, where there are soldiers fighting those masked dudes. If you don't go after the masked men the soldiers seem to respawn forever, and the masked men won't even attempt to get at you if you stay on the ledge you're on when you enter the room.

It's like a killing room massacre, with you at high ground, behind cover.

I'm talking about multiplayer leveling.

Something still seems off on this game in multiplayer. I'm getting sick of unloading entire clips from my AK-47 onto guys, and I know the reticle is on target, and they don't die. Then they turn around and shoot me for two seconds and I'm dead. Is it lag? I'm getting fed up with it. And then when the game ends, I only got 2,000-3,000 experience points towards the next level, 15,000 away.

Don't suppose you care to share some tips then?

If you're solely after leveling up for now, simply co-op on hard objectives and that will net you better than average deathmatches, assuming you don't end up with really bad buddies.

If you still want to level up in deathmatch or elimination: In the round beginning, grab the M32, RPG7, Moss, SAS12, Desert-5 and/or Pistole. Run and shoot, and in general don't aim. You may need the From the Hips (name maybe a little different) booster in slot 1 for it to work well. Usually I use Keep Firing for booster 2. The weapons I listed are 1 or 2-shot kills and in a typical situation, if you keep running it's unlikely you'll get killed before the other guy is down.

Also, there's always that cinema mode that lets you watch exactly what a specific player did throughout any game, so you can learn from the top ones or those who keep killing you.

I NEVER use the AK, always use the FAL. The AK works well though if you are close to each other, but not that great. They probably kill you in 2 seconds cause they are using the FAL. If you get a couple shots on the person, they are gone. That is my recommendation. The best combination of weapons i think is the FAL and Desert-5 Pistol. If you get two hits on someone with the Desert-5, they are also gone. It's also pretty accurate. Everybody who has questions about leveling, always try to get the Desert-5 and FAL. It's going to make your life way easier when trying to kill someone.

SPOILERS**********************************************************

Finished the game last night. Loved it. My main SP gripe: The tank. I don't know about you guys but it was a bitch for me. Good lord.

MP gripe:
In co-op objective, there are points where you stand in a certain place, hit triangle, and the action happens.
I keep getting teamed with 2 guys who can't get that. I'm at the point and hitting triangle, they are walking around dumbfounded and shooting at thin air. jumping aroundlike mad. Then they quit, and BAM connection error.
C'mon, guys. Do you see the markers on the ground? They're there for a reason....
Happens to all, level 1's, and even those in the 20's and 30's.

Beat the game! Must say it was awesome and I'm going to start playing it again tomorrow. It was a little short though, got through it in 9.5 hrs and the last boss was way too easy (shouldn't be able to beat him on the first attempt, but I did :/). Those are stupid nitpick complaints though because this game is pretty much amazing in every way and made me say "wow" on many occasions. Loved it! Crushing, here I come!

Yup finished it last night 9hrs 17 mins on normal, Man im tired!!What an epic game though loved it all!! Id be suprised if it doesnt get game of the year

Why do you say it here? I'm sure everyone who reads this knows that. Say it on your headset when that happens. They can hear it even if they don't have one.
