Oh my God, the single player is orgasmic. And there is like no aliasing....it was possible...
Normal for me, then hard, then crushing, then crushing 10 more times.
Also had to note, the hand to hand combat is really improved and I had an awesome moment last night where it was raining and I made a run at a guy to 1 button kill him and he turned to face me and I hit square and drake slid between his legs and punched him in the balls.
I don't understand why people are having a hard time with the stealth mission. It wasn't that hard you just had to think like if you were reallying trying to break into the place not run around like a mad man... using cover and patience is the key. I really enjoyed that part of the game and thought it was a nice change of pace and showed that Nate was not all about killing. Also the new stealth take downs are awesome I now try to take down as many people as possible with stealth before getting spotted and shooting my way out.
The game play and story have great pacing so far and the dialogue is engaging and funny... "Watch out! There's a guy above you!" Drake proceeds to grab the guy and throw him over the ledge "Watch out! There's a guy below you!" haha, that had me laughing.
The funny thing about the combat in the first Uncharted is that there are a ton of animated kills (like the sliding ball punch) in that one, too. There just aren't many opportunities to get them.
I was trying to be a completionist, and in getting some of those tropies, I discovered 10 or so animated melee finishes.
The cool thing about Uncharted 2 is the new full-on melee combat with counters. That's a really neat touch.
As for that stealth mission - Nate killed about 1000 people in the first game. Might as well just up the body count![]()
I only had a chance to get to chapter 4 last night and had to force myself to stop playing in order to get adequate sleep but I can assure you I will be playing this as soon as I get home from work. The game so far is amazing, and it's surprising how much the graphics improved from the first one: sometimes I just have to stop and admire how beautiful it is. I dont think it had anythign to do with not running around like a mad man. It was, if you didnt pick the exact right people in the right order to take out, you got caught.
But im with you on the stealth stuff, its nice to be able to take out a few guys before getting into a gun battle
I had an awesome moment playing CTF, a guy on the other team grabbed the statue, then I'm guessing he was about to die and launched the thing by reflex. He threw the statue up onto a rooftop near me, so i jumped up there, at the same time there was an enemy climbing the roof from the other side. I punched him twice and killed him. Then another guy from his team climbed up and shot me, but the first enemy had a booster called revenge, where a grenade explodes from your body every time you die, just like call of duty martyr bomb i think it's called. So this all happened withing like 3 seconds. The bomb went off and killed hte guy who killed me and sent the statue flying off the roof. It was pretty cool.
Batman was good but I think you guy's need to play it a little more an let the story get into full swing.
That's what's crazy about U2, the way the characters just chit chat like in real life during the missions. It really ups the immersion factor.I think my favorite quote so far in the game was:
Sully: I'm sweating like a hooker in church.
Nate: You brought a hooker to church?
Sully: Why not?

Found my copy in the mailbox today.
Installed it. Sat there with a big smile, thinking "this is absolutely ridiculous" as I played through the tutorial and a small part of the first chapter.
This weekend can't come soon enough. Had to FORCE myself to quit for the night. The big problem now is what to do with the $100K I got for having completed Drake's Fortune.. I'm thinking I'll just unlock all the featurettes at $10K a' pop, I love that stuff. It's not like you have that many options this early in the game, and I know I'll earn the rest easy anyhow.
You unlock (aka "buy") in-game items and other things using uncharted dollars. You earn Uncharted Dollars in MP (for all sorts of things) or SP (finding treasure, maybe other ways).
Now, when you find your first treasure in UC2 I think the menu pops up, anyhow, there's a menu where you onlock things, and under it you'll see a "[Square] Drake's Fortune". Press Square and the game will scan your saves, if you have completed Drake's Fortune you get $100K Uncharted Dollars. You get a smaller amount for just having the game even if you haven't completed it.
Installed it? This is one of the few games that didnt do that. I do like the seamless chapters though. Never any loading in the game that you can see.
Just stopped on Chapter 16. Game is perfect except for one thing..whenever I'm trying to swing, Drake turns around 4040404040 times, and it is annoying as hell.
Pretty sure it checks the saves, not trophies. Or in the case of the reward for having Drake, that Drake is installed.
I checked when I got home and it checks trophy's![]()
