Has anyone seen any reviews on this yet? I've had my eye on this for a while and it looks like fun. It just went up on Steam on the Coming Soon section, but there is no option to purchase it yet. It also says it will be released in about 12 hours.

Yeah I'm going to wait until at least IGN has a review. Steam doesn't even have the option to pre-purchase yet and the counter says 1 hour until release.

Edit: The timer is up and the game is available for purchase now.

Already bought it, as soon as it hit Steam. Can't download it till I get home from work, but this is a game I've been looking forward to playing. Last couple of Transformer games weren't too bad, rather enjoyable little distractions.

WTF! No Grimlock. Grimlock no bosu!

Is this game GFWL enabled?

No GFWL

I've been playing for about the past 30 minutes and its been a blast so far. Yet to fire up MP though. It looks like the FPS is locked to 30 though. Anyone know how to unlock this?

<--- Waiting for 7.99

^ Names have been up there for ages now man.

I'm waiting for this to hit the bargain bin, and based on other movie games, that should happen pretty quickly.

This transformer is not based on the movies

That's because any Transformers movie other than the original animated The Transformers: The Movie is crap.

Pictars please.

I'm thinking about getting this. Its alot cheaper for the PC. Anyone got any complaints about using the keyboard+mouse? or is a gamepad needed?

Do you really think it would be releasing if the movies hadn't happened?

If all of you like it, then maybe I'll give it a shot.

Is there a point somewhere or did you just feel like being confrontational? The Batman movies had a hand in Arkham Asylum being made and released, but it sure as heck wasn't a movie game.

Ah, I really want to pick this up, will do so when funds are available! I'm happy its very cheap at launch too! :]

and yeah to add what everyone is saying, it's not a movie game, its based off G1 with a modern feel to it.

Its not even totally G1. Hasbro calls it cannon, but High Moon took a similar approach to this as Rocksteady did for Batman: AA. Taking inspiration from good points in the franchise and building an original game that isn't completely tied to any one specific version.

It's pretty fun. A gamepad is not required and the kb/m response is fairly good. My only gripe so far is that, like someone else mentioned, the game is locked to 30fps even with vsync off. I played the first chapter with the kb/m, but have gone to using a gamepad so I can just sit back in my chair.

Read somewhere that the config file is encrypted (Steam forum), so no luck yet unlocking the FPS. Someone needs to make a Advanced Setting Tool like for Borderlands.

Are saves local for SP and MP?

I'm seeing a consistent trend of most licensed games being cheaper on PC. Weird. What up with that?

Wow, IGN gave it a 9. I'd like it for PC but I worry about the online population of PC vs. Xbox Live.

I don't see how I could enjoy an online competitive game locked at 30fps.

How's the single player? Is it just bot-wars stomping around in UT3 type arenas? Or are there actual levels you go through and it has a real fleshed out single player campaign like Crysis?

another game with an FPS lock?

It's like they don't want our money or something.

Got it on steam also.

Two things

1 - I can't change my keys, awesome now I have to find a 3rd party program to do what most games can do by default - F***ING CHANGE KEYS

2 - 30 FPS cap.

If you even call yourself a 'PC Gamer' point 2 is a real kick in the balls.

I feel like PC Gamers are the metaphorical 'the little fat kid in middle school' that always got picked last on the soccor team.

*sigh* can there be any hope for a patch? Probably about as much as Australia beating Serbia in the World cup...

Well I got this game yesterday and I stayed up late last night playing it. The game is really a lot of fun. Its simple and the gameplay, while simple is actually quite enjoyable. The Visuals aren't ground breaking but they are decent. The story is actually pretty solid and flows well with the gameplay. The character models and designs are pretty good. The story itself is more like G1 than anything else which pleases me. Though this is certainly something that stands on its own. Dialog between the Transformers as you move through the game is pretty entertaining and adds personality to each of them.

Worth $60? Probably not. Though I haven't played the multiplayer yet. Worth $39.9? I think so.

I just ordered it from Gamestop using a $20 off coupon I had so I'm getting it for $20 basically. Too bad they don't have this offered as a digital download. Oh well I got plenty of games to play while I wait for it to arrive.
