There are only so many hours in a day. Care to summarize the hour long video with time stamps of highlights?
For those that actually need help realizing that the "leaks" were fabricated clickbait so some youtuber could make a living.
56 minutes?
You-know-who just released a new video where he...
1.) blames Lisa Su for being anti-consumer and for jacking up the prices
2.) said that most people are "disappointed", and
3.) absolved himself for being wrong about his "leaks" by saying that AMD could have changed names and prices at any time
Entertaining
Just look up the word speculation.
He looked up the improvement from Radeon VII and compared it with the 14nm Instinct 25 and discovered the clock speed improvement that Radeon VII got on 7nm somehow was not present when you looked at the same comparison between 1800X and 3800X. That was to him a disappointment.
Well lets call it an obvious observation that you can get caught up naming schemes and pricing and since it does not require anything to change that around.
Like I said in another thread, you can't compare 7nm radeon with 7nm ryzen. Different team and different processor design, they won't have the same benefits from a new process.Entertaining

So is TheRookie the new username of _mockingbird?
I don't consider a video where the person blame Lisa Su and AMD, instead of himself, to be "entertaining".
I did not put these things together until you replied with "you-know-who" statement, that I found entertaining
I was pretty sure that those chips weren't going to be 16 cores on that socket and hit 5GHz with a 15% IPC improvement all at the same time. I can't see anyone being surprised by this. That's a pretty big increase for a CPU that's based on a chip that is 15% slower, has half as many cores and hits a wall of around 4.2GHz on all cores.
And then as it turns out, there is one after all (granted LN2 to hit 5Ghz), but a 4.7Ghz boost isn't too shabby. 3.5Ghz base clock.
Given that they only managed 5.3GHz or something like that on LN2, I am not hopeful for getting anywhere near that on water cooling. I think we'll be lucky to get 4.7GHz on all cores.
The 16 core doesn't appeal to me much, the 12 core however does
Well, I already have a 12 core Threadripper. So unless the 12 core part actually clocks higher than the 16 core part, the latter is more appealing to me.
Out of curiosity do you end up using that many cores?(Vms, compiling etc?) I'm more interested to run a VM at almost all times, and emulators (Device emulators etc). I figured for 16 core I would go for a TR2 setup instead , I'm going to assume at 16 cores with dual channel, were going to start seeing some memory bandwidth limitations (outside of gaming)
^ no ones gonna pay top dollar for X570 watch...and no likewise a 400$ cpu…..they will wait till prices drop and drop it in X470...
Being honest I wouldn't...might as well get Intel and that upgrade at that....
Everyone already now feels like in the holeee on z270/7700k and how that feels dated already..even though still runs good my delidded one and LM on the EVGA FTW.
But they are doing what we wanted finally making moreee cores/thrds work and high clocks looking less significant.
The AMD Ryzen 9 3900X (12C/24T) is 500 bucks, the Intel i9-9920X (12C/24T) is 1200 bucks...
The AMD Ryzen 9 3950X (16C/32T) is 750 bucks, the Intel i9-9960X (16C/32T) is 1700 bucks...
Explain to me how a X570 motherboard and Ryzen 9 CPU is a worse deal when I can get an AMD mobo & cpu for less than the price of the Intel CPU itself...?
I wonder how they sell those Intel CPUs when you can buy a 32 core TR for around the same price...
While the AMD would likely be faster, you are comparing mainstream to HEDT.
You should be comparing the 3950X to the 9900k for maximum destruction lol!!! (both mainstream sockets)

Yup. The only major flaw was in SKU names and price. Not sure what that is, but here is the original, wrong in just about every way imaginable. But most notably in price, which is what red flagged it to those that didn't fall into wishful thinking.
What it gets wrong:
Core counts and thus prices WAY off the mark.
It predicts 7nm APU built with chiplets. Didnt' happen at all.
Clock speeds are wrong and even increase in illogical manner. Highest base clock on 16 core.
TDP wrong.
Time announcement way off.
It's hard to figure how you could get so much wrong, even just guessing randomly...
Wow I never seen so much bullshit from people on this forum. AdoredTV clearly says he has different sources clearly says take this with a grain of salt. Then you still debate stuff that was wrong as opposed to it not matter any more. Not sure what that is, but here is the original, wrong in just about every way imaginable. The fake "leaks" said the the 12 core part would turbo 5.0 GHz and 16 core part would turbo to 5.1 GHz.
Then there are the Zen 2 APUs which aren't even't supposed to show up until next year, and the Zen+ APUs that are missing.
The only reason the fake "leaks" seems close in your chart is that you only cherry-picked things that are close and disregarded everything else.

Imagine I got 20% on a exam and only cherry-picked the problems that I got right to say that I did great!
That's exactly what you are doing.
