I tried fighting him I put a few clips into him but he got the best of me mid fight with thermal vision. Using a tree seems to be the best way to avoid his heat sinks.

The Predator sucks this is just UBIs way of turning the tables on the player. I tried about a dozen times got mid fight characters were saying You can kill it and I get blasted between the trees or rezing someone. I even switched to a faster shooting sub machine gun I put like 20 bullets him in a second I ran out of bullets I had 300 bullets into him ran to the amo crate and died.

Update: I just read a good tip someone said hog the Amo box and place land mines hundreds of the so when the Preadator move around he will scream when he walks across the mines lol.

I killed the predator several times. I used a heavy sniper rifle and called in the rebels to act as cannon fodder.

I killed that Bastard at level 25 tried 20+ times on normal got close. Then I switched to Arcade mode which is the easier mode I think. I layed about 500 land mines in the process sometimes he would walk right by me step on a land mine and kill me or my NPC recons. When your laying down landmines his behavior totally changes in the game he keeps his distance instead of trying to nuke you to Hell.

Predator is not hard with friends. We did it a few times. Use the SR25 jungle as its bugged and cycles him in a single hit....also can destroy any vehicle in a single shot.

I was able to solo him after many failures. Found a good pattern and hiding area that allowed me to doge his BS gun and the rest was easy.

I hope Ghost Recon wildlands 2 furthers the the story of smuggling of drugs in the US. Found it in treating all the different methods researched then implemented in the game.

I don't know man. I'm really not a fan of games as a service. I wish they'd just focus on a large stand alone campaign, instead of dropping these updates semi-regularly. I haven't played the game in months, it takes a while to get back into any game, as I don't even remember the controls and quirks of the game, and by the time I get the hang of it again it is over.

And that is why I am not a fan of small DLC or drawn out DLC releases. I prefer big expansions. Once I finish the main story my interest never reaches the same level. Very few DLC/expansions can bring my interest up to what I had prior to finishing the main story. And things like narrative build up are lacking with short, 1-3 hour piece meal DLCs. I'd rather have one big expansion with another 5-10 hours.

So I take it that the game freezes while trying to access your weapon inventory isn't something new ?

It is a problem with a specific NVIDIA driver. Yesterday's update has a note about it. I believe this is fixed.

It's on sale on Humble Bundle over the weekend. If I enjoyed the open world fun of Far Cry 5, I assume I'd have fun with this one too?

I don't know. I don't actually care for Far Cry's open world style. I don't like anything like the Bethesda games, which Far Cry seems to be most like. I think Ghost Recon Wildlands is more like GTA V, but in a third world country. Its incredibly entertaining, especially with friends.

I enjoyed GTA V as well. I think I'll bite and snag a copy for me and the wife to coop together.

Is this game fun solo? I just don't see myself playing a lot of co-op with randos.

Yes. It is. I don't co-op with random people. I only play with friends or alone. There is also a ton of content for it. The base game and its two expansions are quite lengthy. I've got about 200 hours in it and I haven't unlocked everything, nor experienced all it has to offer. I've finished the base game and the Fallen Ghosts DLC, but I still have some side missions I haven't done in the DLC, and I've barely touched Narco Road. They've also added four missions to the base game since March I think. I haven't even set foot in the horde mode. I've got about 200 hours in this game in total. You end up getting side tracked, and do stupid shit sometimes. A stealth approach to the missions can take a lot of time. Or if your me, you do about half a mission in stealth, things end up going pear shaped and you fight your way through the rest.

Pretty fun honestly - I like the game. Kinda like Division without the grinding. I will say my only negative comments are that the teammate AI seems relatively useless (so far - help me if I'm missing something) and the controls for driving vehicles (at least with kb/m, havent tried controller) is a nightmare, I'm constantly driving off the road.

Yeah I used a controller though the entre game basically helps a ton for driving on those messed up roads.

The best thing to use AI team mates for is the sync shot stuff. Basically, you can use them to take out up to four enemies at once. This is very useful when playing alone. As for the driving, you get used to it. I tend to drive trucks more than anything as they are the right speed to traverse the terrain without going off road. You can move fast when you learn to power slide them.

I hated this game for many of these reasons. Sounds like I am in the minority here. AI was dumb as rocks and you had little to no control over them. They would walk through walls. They would walk directly into enemy camps. Thankfully the enemies wouldn't react to it half the time but many times I died because I didn't notice they were walking along side enemy NPCs. I assumed they'd open up on each other. I assume it had to do with lack of control for your squad and them constantly walking through buildings/checkpoints so they had to make the various NPCs fairly blind to each other otherwise they'd constantly walk into firefights the player didn't want to get into. And the vehicles - I'm there with you. Multiple times I'd land a helicopter almost perfectly, get out and walk a few feet and then it would bounce up into the air and land upside down blowing me up.

I liked the map design. It looked beautiful. The game had potential but was let down by poor technical issues and in general lame and uninspired direction (3rd person, mission design, poor story). That and they drug the Ghost Recon name through the mud. But at least Wildlands isn't as bastardized as Siege is, so it has that going for it.

I have over 200 hours into the game and I've never seen some of the behavior you describe. I have seen the AI go places where they should be spotted, but I concluded the same thing as you did. This is relaxed so that the stealth is dependent on the player and that the AI doesn't get you into trouble since you have zero control over them. I've never gotten out of a landed helicopter and had it bounce on me and kill me after leaving it. The only thing that makes them bounce, is landing them on something like a fence, where the collision mesh glitches out and forces the two things apart. I you land on a lat and open space, they will not do this.

One issue I have had, is with the helicopters and other vehicles you summon spawning in stupid places or in places where you can't use them. I have seen helicopters spawn into enemy bases or spawn on top of other objects and bounce around until exploding. I've also seen them appear in areas where there is insufficient clearance for the propellers, making their use impossible. In its early days, the game was too buggy and poorly executed to play it and enjoy it. I enjoyed the concept of it, but didn't get into it until about a year later. Most of its issues had been ironed out. While the basic story is pretty formulaic, I found it was very well thought out and executed in most cases. The characters are entertaining, and there is a lot of small stuff to enjoy. I thought the direction was fine. The third person aspects are done well enough. I've seen this executed far worse in other games.

The game is pretty solid now. The story isn't ground breaking, but its driven along nicely and there is a allot of attention to detail in the missions themselves.

The is exactly what happened to me twice. If I recall it was more than that, but I have a very clear memory of the first two times. I recall being so pissed that I almost stopped playing the game after that. I haven't touched the game in well over a year, probably a few months after release. No idea if it is better now.

I considered the game to be one of the worst AAA games I've played in recent history. Just Cause 4 came along and snatched that spot up though and it isn't even close. At least Wildlands had a nice map/terrian.

Its definitely better now. I'd agree it was a wreck early on. It shouldn't have been released like that, but it really has been improved dramatically.

The game has evolved considerably. I recommend that people who tried it in the early goings and were disappointed to give it one more shot. It isn't going to be night and day but definitely some solid improvements and refinements.

I'm thinking of grabbing this on the cheap and giving it a shot after I get done with the Division 2. I really dig the gun play and hoping this measures up.Will be strictly offline though so hopefully the single player holds up.

I don't think anything has changed in single player. Expect for helicopter controls for the worse, thank goodness they left the option in to use the old controls. If someone hated the game then I highly doubt they'll suddenly like it now.

This game has far superior gunplay to the division, and frankly anything else I can think of.

Gun mechanics are pretty good. Modification options are pretty vast. The gun play itself and general shooting mechanics are very satisfying. Its generally pretty accurate for a game aside from bullet drop being exaggerated and one or two other things.
