For anyone out there wondering why my PPD is dropping. It's because I have a UPS down, which is causing 8x gx2 + 4x 88GT to be down atm. Just waiting on RMA on UPS atm.

It's not like I'll ever reach 300k PPD again with these ugly WU's

If it's any consolation, everyone who has been running a large number of nVidia clients is feeling the pinch as of recently. To have even approached anywhere within striking distance of such a remarkable PPD is worthy of a tale or two in folding historical annals. :cool:

 
Is it just me or is it getting crowded.

There are 6 of us that have 50-54k ppd.

I'm going to have to elbow my way out of here....... as soon as USPS shows up with the mobo.

Looks a bit crowded but your about to have one less in that range. Looks like my PPD is going to level off in the 40K-48K PPD range due to my recent scaling back.

no 100k is the new 50. Fahspy Shows nearly 110k. ATM. Plus I have a 9800 gx2 to find and install in the gf computer.
 
Well my WHS (name:Repository) is up and running.

Add 2x 9600GSO onto the pile. I have 13 GPUs just on my home network now.

Damn, that should heat the home this winter. I thought I could sneak past you, just added
2 GSOs myself but that only brings me up to 10 GPUs. You must be wanting that spot

I had to do something, I've been pushed back to the 8th spot on ppd. That simply wont do ;)

It says 128sp or nothing....
I do like the 9600 GSOs but the new WUs are choking the 96sp GPUs.

You had better hope those help out alot. Its starting to look like might I might be getting back in the game much sooner that I thought. Just swapped out a 9800gt for Galaxy GTX260 and am going to have access to a couple more GTX260's if I can find a power supply than can handle both of them in one box. I tasted 100K PPD before I had to scale back and it was good. I want it back!
 
My hope is to replace the 9600GSO cards with 4850s in the near future.
I need the price to come down some more though.

That reminds me, I got a 4850 sittin around not doing anything. I can sell it and get money for the power supply that I need. I had forgot all about it sittin in the drawer collecting dust. Check the DC FS and you might find a 4850 at a good price.

Tell me about it. It was foretold a while ago, by those in the know. Even my venerable 8800GTs aren't doing too hot. It won't get any better in the future either, but we were forewarned.

Ohh I know. I'm just mad I got them the day before :p Didn't even get a month in of good 4.5k ppd action.

I have plans to move a few of my 8800/9600 cards out and get 4850's in.

Look for good deals on some cards in the next few weeks ;)

 
I do wonder if the quad core intel chips and their 5-6k ppd (with the linux smp client) will become the new budget ppd leaders as the gpu WU's keep getting bigger and bigger...

I see some agregation in the top 20 : 35k and lower, 40-50k and 75-100k.

I'm now holding firmly in the 10th rank and I will have a 8800GT coming soon to move a bit higher and avoid the underdogs biting my ass.
 
Well we will see if this 4850 can push more than a 8800GS. ;)
Look for a good deal on a GS in the DC/FS sub-fourm soon.
I'm out of PCIe slots. :(
