I find it funny that you have an X52, but only a 17" monitor ;)

Very neat cables though.

Depends on what you're used to I guess. I have been using this display for the last 3-4 years so the size doesn't bother me at all. Add to the fact that I use a 12.1" ultra-portable laptop when I'm at school (which is most of the day), even this 17" seems big at times! ;)

Thanks for commenting on the cables, that was a fun (yet frustrating) endeavor :)

i wonder how it looks like (size wise) with any cube case (me eyeing this one for a naked microatx system i have).. been looking around google pics and this is the only Live one i found and its latest too!...

If you're referring to the Athenatech A100BB, I can get a shot of it next to a Thermaltake Lanbox Lite if you'd like :) Volume wise it is much smaller:

A100BB: 13.5"x5.8"x14.5" = 1135 cubic inches

Lanbox Lite: 17.0''x11.8''x9.1'' = 1825 cubic inches

Just got the Apple Aluminum keyboard. Hacked drivers, some remapping software, and parts of Bootcamp and voila! It's hilariously fun having an eject button on your keyboard that works in XP!

I forgot about my other build... It's an SFF too!

I'm currently building my dad a HTPC in an SG02! Will post build pics when it's done. I have dumped the 3.5" drive as I found it noisy in this case and am installing a 2.5" hard drive.

Re-posting this since it was lost in the 2/11 database corruption:

Visual comparison between the Athenatech A100BB and the Thermaltake Lanbox Lite.

A100BB: 13.5"x5.8"x14.5" = 1135 cubic inches
Lanbox Lite: 17.0''x11.8''x9.1'' = 1825 cubic inches

That they are :) just got my sleeving kit today so i will be sleeving the lil guys but not before i get a new videocard to throw in it. dont want to hassle with the power ports again on that 3870x2....

Here's my Lanbox Lite ...I squeezed in a GTX 285 by cutting the 3.5 slot and put a HD there by sliding it forward...
The Lanbox lite case is small form factor so i had to plan plan plan....
First i mock assembled the mobo, heatsink and gfx card to see what kind of room everything had...to decide where to route cables and what not....

I also didn't Like the look of the Power Supply cage showing through as metal so i painted it with High Gloss Rustoleum..it came out perfect.

img1837qq4.jpg

and painted

img1975uj5.jpg

I was already aware that technically the gtx 285 didn't fit in the case,
img1844vy8.jpg

but i have a dremmel so i had to do some cutting to the front cage.
img1845bi0.jpg

The entire front drive cage slides back and out. It has 2 5.25" bays and a vertical 3.25" bay. My plan was a Scythe fan controller in top bay and a DVD drive in the bottom. I also decided to mount the 10,000rpn raptor drive in the veritcal 3.25" bay, that way you could see it through the case window. I had to slide the raptor drive forward in order to fit it w/ the card
img1862tl1.jpg

here are all the drives mounted
img1952yn0.jpg

This is a shot i took to show the clearance between the ram/cooler and gfx card. I like the reflections off the ram.
img1872fx2.jpg

The cables that come with the case are a little bit longer than they need to be so i had to do some grouping to secure the cables...I also wanted to keep the front fan blowing on the mobo unobstructed...
here are the cables out of control...
img1909ar6.jpg

and here are some shots of the cables secured...
img1981bq4.jpg

img1982qz2.jpg

You can see here that I have a 140mm in the case, but after testing I got 12c better cooling with a 120mm fan...
img1984sh6.jpg

here is the little 60mm fan i installed between the 5.25 bay and the vertically mounted Raptor HD...I was concerned with it overheating wedged in the corner like that, with very little air flow. I also used a cross wire 5volt mod to keep the fan quiet.
img1989ys8.jpg

here is a Pic of the Mobo installed prior to putting the fan in..
img2006qs6.jpg

and here is the fan mounted
img2008as2.jpg

It was actually easier to remove the power supply and flip it over on top of the front drive bays than it was to get the front drive cage out with all the wires...

here is the lil' fan all tucked away
img2013os2.jpg

This is how i routed the power cables...I would connect them to the ps, and then run them back and forth on top of the drive cage and then connect the ends to the devices..
img2014vk3.jpg

This keeps all the cables up high and out of the way of the airflow down low....You slide the top on and everything is secured...It may look like a disaster from the top down, but it leaves a clear path on the lower half of the case for air from the front to run to the back...Keeping things cool

With the lid on you just hope you don't have a Tea pot man shot ;)
img2015lq5.jpg

here is a side view of the case from the GFX card and Raptor side
img2016ui9.jpg

here is the illuminated interior (taken before i installed the 285)...you can see the nice room for airflow front to back..it is fed by a 92mm Blue led fan.

annnnd scene....

love scythe VFD, would use one in mind except I don't have an openable 5 1/4 bay

I actually have a 1TB HD tucked in behind it too...I bought a plastic 5.25 to 3.5 bay adapter that can fit a fan...I cut it and modded it to fit behind the fan controller so i could maximize space...works great and dampens vibrations...and you can see one of the temp probes is wacked...it reads 32f on install...i think it is not completing it's circuit...i have to see if i can get it replaced w/ out shipping the whole thing back b/c there is no way in hell i am taking it apart

I guess this is still technically a mATX system so here you go:

Camera was being a little funky last night so I'm sorry about the picture quality, ended up messing with the brightness and contrast to get things a little more "viewable".

Feel free to PM me any questions about the wiring and whatnot, I haven't seen to many well done wiring jobs in the Mini P180 (not trying to to gloat or anything) and I'd be more then willing to share my experiences.

I have now... :D
Very nice job. :)

I wish the mini P180 was smaller though; I'm bored with my V350 (for some reason)...now I need a new case to obsess over.

I guess this is sff since it matx... it's my take on a coolermaster elite 340...

man if anyone here is willing to buy my old Silverstone SG01-B (has the plexiglass windows), I'll buy either the Coolermaster 340 or the Coolermaster 341. I like having 4 120MM fans for cooling. The Silverstone is not so good at keeping everything cool. Looks nice though...

I did this a few months ago but just never got around to posting it. I wanted to watercool my CPU/GPU to quiet things down a bit and allow for some overclocking. Running an E2180 at 2.7 (from 2.0) and I'm planning to push it further when I get the time to mess with it. 9600GTX is overclocked 100MHz above factory OC to 750MHz. CPU idles at 31C full load is 42C. GPU idles at 31C load at 44C. Now the pictures.

I quite like my Kaze Server fan controller. You can turn off the display and when it's on it's not a loud piercing blue--instead it's a muted gray/white.

The only bad thing is the knobs are free-spinning (in order to set temp thresholds) which make the notch on it kind of useless for min-maxing.

Hello, Here is my Thermaltake Lanbox lite.

This is a project that has been going on for months, finding the right CPU Cooler, Finding a Modular power supply amongst some lighting as well. I've also cut out a hole on the PSU Cage holder thingy and cutout for an 80MM fan. also replaced the 60mm fans with 3,000RPM Fans. Now all I need is a good fan controller to control 4 fans.

Cable Management is a nightmare with this case. I've opened it almost every day thinking of new ways to manage my cables, and I think this is the best I can get it to. I've stuffed the modular cables in the unused upper drive bay. you can't see them at all.

Sorry the pictures are extremely bad, it looks so much nicer in person! lol
