the graphics are exactly the same as MW2. theres nothing different about it. MW2 and even COD4 looked good on the consoles. but other then that its just another reskin of the MW2 game. theres absolutely nothing different about it. honestly acticrap should be releasing this as a stand alone expansion for 30 bucks like the good ol days. then maybe they will sell 4 million copies. lets just see how stupid the COD fanboi's really are to pay another 60 bucks.
yeah its getting old, but the fact that no one else has anything that can remotely compete with it, they can just continue to shove it down people's throats.

Not sure about Kinect Sports, but Dance Central was the only good Kinect game and from what I hear it was really fun.
More Halo, more rehashes, and more bullshit. Kinect...whooptie doo!

So that sucked. I mean really really sucked. Let's hope EA puts on a better show. At least EA will have BF3 and ME3 to show off, hopefully it will be ME3 minus Kinect shit.
I don't see a problem with them making more Halo games. They sell well and they're fun. 343 needs to make a new engine though and calling it Halo 4 is kinda dumb.

microsoft has been out of the PC gaming industry for years. they moved all their PC development companies they owned to the 360. so why should they care about PC gaming?
i wonder if they will even show the console version of BF3 there. so far to date they haven't showed one thing from the console side, i'd guess its going to be a last minute thing since it has to be converted to dx9 which the PC version doesn't even support.
hey, at least they didn't call it H4LO like F.E.A.R. 3 which is F.3.A.R.

Well in all respect they do have some good looking kids games coming out imo. The big things are my opinion;
Gears 3
Halo 4
Star Wars Kinect
Forza 4
Fable (which reminds me of Sorcery for PS Move shown at last years E3)
Nothing new with any of those, but those are the big exclusives they have coming. It's not over but I do not see any new AAA IP yet.

Sometimes I see stray people put up threads about "MS getting serious about PC gaming" or some such and I just don't know or why anyone would ever believe it.
Star Wars Kinect looks like absolute shit.

lol i guess i've missed those threads. other then the AoE online and some other game those are the only microsoft titled and produced games that have even been released in what 6 or 7 years for PC? and those aren't even new games, they just updated the engine and turned them into a subscription based game.

Agreed. Nothing wrong with MS focusing their gaming efforts on consoles, after all they're in the business to make money and they've butchered their game studio anyway. Outside DirectX PC gaming is probably better off without them focusing on it too much.

The Kinect integration into core games like Mass Effect and the whole voice recognition isn't any more sophisitcated than it was when Kinect launched. It's still gimmicky and could have been done with the 360 headset five years ago. I do like the whole "you say, Xbox finds it" thing, though. It's not something I'd use but I can see it being popualr with the crowd who uses consoles primarily for entertainment media besides games.
The Halo 4 trailer was very brief but seemed to be the 60 seconds after the ending of Halo 3...what is intersting is it was introduced as the start of a new trilogy for Xbox. So much for those who thought and tried to convince others that Halo Reach was the end of Halo...
Tomb Raider graphics were phenomenal, I thought. The gameplay was little more than QTE-City, though.
The new Gears of War 3 footage was amazingly unremarkable and didn't show anything new other than a re-skinned version of the Leviathan boss from Gears of War 2.
It's not even a re-skin though - the level shown just then looked and played like a level from CODMW2 that didn't make the cut.
Instead of making a true sequel, taking more time with it and foregoing a 2011 release, they've chosen to go ahead with the annual COD game, half-dead developer and all, and make what is blatantly a full-priced expansion. Yes, same graphics, same assets, same textures, same guns, same sound effects, same character models, same guns, same everything. The CODpieces will probably jump up my ass for saying it but this has to be the most unrevolutionary, unnecessary sequel ever. At least Black Ops gave you a Minigun and let you pilot a fucking Hind.

I want to see a Kinect game that actually challenges your physical ability. I'd probably buy it for that reason alone.
My gf is a Disney fanatic. I am sure she will love Disneyland Adventures.

I didn't mean those are my big 4, those are just the big 4 Microsoft is going to leverage over the next year or 2. I agree Star Wars is not looking too hot, that's the only negative I have with move oriented gaming. The delay kills any fun I could have.

Its called F.3.A.R because of one scene in the almaverse when you're playing battleships with a mutated pirate...
The delay, the horrible and slow animations, it doesn't look any fun at all. Lightsaber combat should be quick and fluid, not slow and clunky.
I have Minecraft on the PC, but if the Xbox version brings all the stuff you expect from a Live title (invites, parties, voice chat, etc.) I'll re-buy it.
I'd say their press conference was okay to good, but not that great. I suspect all the negativity is because of their Kinect heavy show. I have no problem with Kinect as long as it's implemented well in a game. Anyway, I was hoping for some new IPs, but it seems if any are going to come, they're not coming from Microsoft Game Studios. Either way I'm looking forward to both Halo games, Forza 4, Gears of War 3, and a few others.
I also want to hear more about the TV stuff. They mentioned Sports. If they somehow landed the NFL then I will call up Charter and cancel my cable subscription the following day. Between NetFlix and Hulu, the only thing that has kept me from getting rid of our cable is football.

Just wait until you are literally punching virtual trees and mining rocks all day long. That should challenge your physical ability.

Microsoft conference was horrible, everything is Kinect. I don't want to flail around like a fucking retard to play games. I want to sit on a couch with a controller the way I've been doing it for the past 15 years.
