The Official Borderlands 2 Thread

Not sure how that's possible not to get a single legendary after multiple playthroughs, 1) The Warrior Have has a pretty much guaranteed legendary per playthrough after killing him with the moonshot. 2) Killed Terramorphous? As in the "You. Will. Die" quest in the vanilla game? He always drops at least a class mod.

The list goes on.....

If you are talking killing the mega bosses then no....I can't complete them in SP as they murder me in seconds. The only way I have ever gotten weapons and items worth a damn is to the farm the gold chest. Again, I'm on playthrough 2, I've gone through all the DLC and at level 51 or 52 ( i think i said 62 before but I was wrong)

it really is that bad....though, I've enjoyed the game quite a lot but some parts were extremely difficult and tedious because the lack of really good weapons and especially with bad sheilds.

I think SP is a lot tougher, specifically come TVHM and UVHM. Especially the latter. Your shields evaporate and your health is useless against the kind of damage they deal. If you can hit 53 or 54 even by tomorrow, you can join us for a run. We are currently playing an Assassin and a Gunzerker up in UVHM.

Statements like this make me wonder if some people actually play this game or just regurgitate what they read some whiny console kids on gearbox's forum complaining about. The Bee shield still works fine, still puts out absurd damage paired with an appropriate weapon. Anyone can for example do the mission objectives in the Pirate DLC and get themselves a sandhawk SMG. Or a DPUH out of a torgue machine. And you're still one-shotting most stuff. .

I have already listed my issues. only played through pirate dlc before stopping. The game required tons of grinding to until the bosses where you get a chance for a drop. EVERYTHING UP UNTIL THE BOSS WAS A WASTE OF TIME. The bee shield helped minimize that. You can still do great damage but now ammo becomes an issue, and being a SP only player many of the raid bosses have become impossible.

Shields always seemed rather useless to begin with (unless you had a Bee), are they even more useless in the later DLCs then?

Shields have never been useless. You are doing it wrong. Shields are very relevant through out the game. Maybe more so in TVHM and UVHM. They are critical in the latter. Shields are more than capacity, recharge rate and delay...

In UVHM shields pretty much go with one hit on trash mobs.

There are so many different kind of shields and shield characteristics, that a generalization like that really can't be made. Sure your style of playing might be different from mine, but in my experience this is not the case at all, even using relatively low capacity shields. If you need to tank, which I generally don't. A purple turtle packs 250K capacity alone, Fabled Tortoise 660K. A good adaptive 120K (these are all lvl 61 items of course). You might even have a situation where a player enjoys a build that relies on the shield to repeatably be knocked, in order to Nova, Roid or even activate certain skills in your skill tree.

Anyone want to trade something for a Legendary Siren Class Mod lvl 61 ?

UPDATE: Gone

all you season pass holders can bend over, gearbox wants to make another withdrawal

Randy Pitchfraud stikes again! Your season pass was supposed to save you money? Brilliant marketing, selling you shit again you already had or was supposed to have....

Been playing Digistruct Peak today, already level 63. :)

I can't wait to level up. Sounds like the XP is good at the Peak. Any interesting loot?

Just bought it, downloading now. If anyone wants to game. Add me

Added, but won't have time to play until maybe tonight. We have guests from the US these days. I'm in the EU.

Its too bad SP didn't also cover Pack 2, but then again the SP covered so much conetent and really no one is forced to buy that high end add on.

Shoosh. There are a lot of games and publishers where that may be true but BL2 isn't one of them. The season pass has been worth the price for the content twice over. For the $20 I paid for the season pass off GMG I would've easily paid the same money for the TTAODK (DLC4) alone - that DLC was that good. The season pass was intended for campaign DLC - they told everyone four campaign DLC's from day one so this wasn't a bait and switch by any stretch. And they threw in UVHM pack 1 for free with the season pass as a bonus.

All this optional add-on content beyond the campaign DLC's is just that - optional. Not sure where the entitlement comes from that companies should keep pumping out DLC forever and it should all be inclusive for the base price. This isn't content that was all created a year ago and then held back - they've worked on these as time has gone on and the game has evolved.

The old gripes about publisher tendencies toward "day one DLC already on the disc" were somewhat warranted, but things seem to have gone completely off the tracks into fullblown "gimme gimme gimme" gamerkid tantruming its gotten a little tired, to be honest.

yeah, the Season Pass was for 4 DLCs. We all knew that when we bought it. And they definitely have fulfilled their end of the deal. And threw in the Ultimate Vault Hunter pack for us season pass owners. I think they came through with flying colors. After that, I knew the next DLCs would not be included. That's fine by me. I WANT to pay more money for the content of this game... I am getting easily more entertainment from this game then any other game right now. And they are charging a measly $5 for this new content. Done. I appreaciate all the awesome stuff that they are adding to the game. This is byfar my favorite game at this time. The replay value is the best I've seen in a game since Mario on SNES. lol...

Anyways, I busted through the DLC already and it was pretty cool. I only did one of Tannis' missions so far, so it hasn't been much, but I imagine with a few LVL increases it'll be a lot more crazy. Going to go do another of her missions now.

Credit slick deals,

you can get the addon pack for $3.74 now. thats a whoppin 25% off! Back in the day, that was like 5 jr bacon cheeseburgers

When I was young you could buy a river barge for that kind of money.

i assume the raid on the peak is for really high level MP action only?

It´s fine for solo play as long as you bring good gear and your A game :D
(make sure to be in a second wind mood).

PS: No reason to beat on Gearbox for developing more optional content and bringing it to market. BL2 is an incredible game with staggering amounts of content and replayability. Beat on them for Alien: Colonial Marines. Why bitch about great products when there are so many poor ones, I really don't get it.

my complaint is that they took the regular good guns out of the game and either made them boss drops or dlc items. you can now get stuck underpowered for multiple levels with crappy weapons. grinding does not help since you have to grind bosses.

You can pick up around 50 golden keys for the 10 minutes it takes to google a list of key codes, and input them in the game. If you have a few levels where you got crap, burn a couple gold keys for purple gear at your level.

Community day at Gearbox, streaming now via Twitch.

http://www.twitch.tv/gearboxsoftware

Right now Homeworld panel. So many people in the chat don't even know what it is. Man I feel old. I still have the original CDROM.

New Community Day skins and heads are farmable right now. Just go through Bully Mong piles outside Clap Traps place.

I missed GearBox Community Day because I had to go to a birthday party. I did subscribe to the Twitch.tv channel so I should be getting the skins, heads and such but haven't received any notification after starting the game. Either I missed something or it hasn't activated. Any ideas?

I never had to do any of that, and I was able to get all the skins with a little farming yesterday.

My level 51 character is stuck in a level 30 world with no objectives to complete. Is there a way I can get back to my normal game or am I screwed and have to start over?

Thanks. I went to True Vault Hunter mode and things were correctly leveled.

This is an odd request and I've asked on the Borderlands 2 forum. I'm looking for someone that can join me or I can join them to help me kill the Loot Hunt targets for this week.

I'm currently in the hospital for my 12th. round of chemotherapy. It's my 5 day cycle one so I'll be here for almost a week. Unfortunately, I have only a netbook with me and no other laptop-- an HP Mini 110. It can't play Borderlands 2 because it lacks Shader Model 3.0. It can't even run Terraria.

The best I can do is get on Teamviewer and load BL2 from my desktop computer at home. However, thinking it'd be playable; it wasn't. Best I can do is move the camera up and down very, very slowly, and use Fast Travel if I'm near it. Walking feels like watching stop-motion animation.

So, if anyone can help me, that'll be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

My primary character is a level 51 Mechromancer in True Vault Hunter Mode (not Ultimate).
