Yeah. Nvidia's site went straight from notify to out of stock. I was refreshing it the whole time. Newegg's site went down. B&H Photo's site went down.... No luck... Of course Ebay now has a lot of listings at $1,200 a pop..... makes me sick...

Either they are having site issues and haven't sold any, there really weren't any in stock, or the supply was dismally small and they will release a 20GB version next month to counter against AMD and that is where the real inventory is at. But as it stands, I may end up trying to get an RTX 3090 next week if I can get an RTX 3080 FE.

Or maybe Nvidia is trolling the bots and scalpers and the 6am PST time was a lie and they will be releasing them at some other random time today. Maybe giving the AIBs a head start?

Definitely smells of very low stock paper launch. I bet the jammed this release out as early as they could in order to beat AMD to the punch by a month...

Amazon's 3080 page has 14 cards that have been "currently unavailable" the entire time. I've been F5'ing that page every second. I figured that would be the easiest place to get one, as the site refreshes almost instantly, unlike Newegg and others that crashed. Amazon is built for massive traffic. The cards never changed from "currently unavailable". Something's up...

I've been checking Amazon's page for nearly 45 minutes. They never showed anything in stock on any cards offered at all. I agree with a lot of people at this point (unless Amazon is releasing their stock by their own timing [don't take that possibility off the table])...this seems like a paper launch. Of course, Paper Mario had better launches on paper than this. It feels though more like a Failure to Launch...like that movie with Matthew McConaughey in it that has the title Failure to Launch. Out!

Only took them 50-some minutes from their launch time to do so.

Card is in my cart. Got through address. Got through shipping. Got to payment, and here we see how many times I can ring my credit card. (So far, it's a lot)

EDIT: Finally got though. OOS on the payment page. Fuck.

Ugh. Had same issue at best buy 2 times. One time it just told me to pick a different way to deliver it but had no options on how to change that.

I had over a dozen websites up on different devices constantly shift+f5 and was unable to purchase any card, from any vendor, from any site. I got cards into my basket a few times but they were removed before I could put a payment in due to not being available. Something is fishy. Either stock was next to non existant, or bots literally devoured every card available.

Just love seeing all the listings already on eBay showing order confirmations from the like of Newegg with the price they paid.....which is half of what the list is for.

Same, got an EVGA black in my cart there and managed to make it to shipping, then OOS.

I was thinking a limited release with some stock at least. At least a chance to get a 3080 FE. I didn't expect a full on paper launch.

Another thing. I had an email notification set up on Nvidias site to notify me when the 3080 FE was in stock. Didn't get any notification at all. Was it ever even in stock? Like for a millisecond in between refreshes?

I just now received an email saying in stock. Until I clicked the link and its out of stock.
