These imagaes are from a system that I am building to be displayed at E3 and Computex. When these pictures were taken I still had a couple of things to finish up.

[IM]http://www.realworldbenchmarks.com/downloads/ChrisRam/images/Show%20System/Image1.jpg[/IMG]

There is now an 80mm red LED fan in the back with a red powder coated ran grill on each side. I am thinking about changing the 3, 80mm fans out with white ones.

Image2.jpg

Everything was powder coated including the heat sink cover.

[IMGhttp://www.realworldbenchmarks.com/downloads/ChrisRam/images/Show%20System/Image3.jpg[/IMG]

The front now has some vinyl Cooler Master and ATI logos.

[IM]http://www.realworldbenchmarks.com/downloads/ChrisRam/images/Show%20System/Image4.jpg[/IMG]

[IM]http://www.realworldbenchmarks.com/downloads/ChrisRam/images/Show%20System/Image6.JPG[/IMG]

The system is finished now but I need to get some more pictures taken when I have time to set up for a photo shoot. I am also finishing up an Antec server case that is double wide and will be used for a quad sli, 4 opteron rig that I call the 4x4.

The fan grill at the bottom was just there so I didn't lose it. I made the 92mm blue LED fan from the Hyper 6+ red by drilling out all of the blue LEDs and soldering in red 5mm ones. Also, the PSU fan was replaced with a red 120mm. This PSU is getting replaced with a new Cooler Master version that is on the way here. After it arrives I will get it over to the powder coating company and then the case will be 100 complete.

I wanna see finished pics!

some crappy pics of my 201 oldschool case, i made a fan box to run a 120mm fan out the back and to blow the air up since this case sits with it's back to the wall. the box can be turned 90 degrees either way, right now i have it blowing up.
a few years ago i replaced the stock 80mm fan in the rear for a 92mm fan, but even that was too loud for me it seems.
i have 2 - 92mm fans in front and a 120mm fan on the CPU, and a 80mm stealth on top.

this is about the 6th lexan side panel i have made for this case, each time i try a diferent HS/fan, i make a new one it seems.

Is that the greenish window or the blue one?

it's a clear window ;)

@snake -

that sure isn't a usual 201 ... the front may look like one but the inside is more like the 200 and 110 (openings at the PCI slots, PSU cage, removable top, only 2 slits for screws at the 5.25" bays ) .... kinda interesting ...

OMG that's nice Highendtoys, I just wish I had an job so I can buy 2 of those x1900xtx's cards witht the latest ATi Chipset and other things like AMD64 FX60 and Dell 3007 Monitor.

Uh, running it in sli mode, but with a single card? Also, is the chipset block supposed to be slanted? capacitor in the way?

It's Still one of the Absolute BEST cases I have Ever seen.

might wanna get some spreaders for the ram, hide the blue-sleeved cable a bit better, and replace that last spare pci slot cover.

ahh everybody and their praetorians! i envy :(

Only some of them are Praetorians. Most of them are ATCs 210's. Much rarer, every bit as sexy, and still out of my pricerange :(

SLI Mode - i missed that the upper PCIe Slot is blocked while putting the WC back together, but moving the fitting involves dremel wirk so i#M just using the lower slot ...

Chipset - the mounting holes are differently aligned compared to the AA8XE and ordering another mounting plate (and waiting a week) wasn't an option - works this way too

Heatspreaders ? Pretty useless ... i'd rather use that money on a new 7900GT ;)

PCI Slot Cover - i knew i forgot something ...

This has been bothering me since day one:

Do the Coolermaster Praetorians come in Brushed, or Mirrored? I dislike the look of brushed, when it comes to such a sleek case otherwise. I'd probubly be looking for another case instead of the praetorian if it's brushed only. ATCs costs so much too :(

you mean ATC 201's? they both are basically the same :)

The mirrored finished ATC-201 is called the "Black Widow". They're very rare but look beautiful. The Praetorians come in brushed.

any estimates how much one of the black widows would run, and how many of them were produced? I have located 2, but one is in the UK and hte other, Australia. :(

Maybe $150-200? That is... If you can find one...

I might be able to share pics of a new CM case that has yet to be released that I have recieved. ;)

Award For, "So Hot It Jumped In From Another Thread!!"

Thanks for the ego boost gang :D

And no... I'm not dead. Many may be suprised to know that the system I posted the pictures of in the "Post your 'rate my cables' here" is still up and running in exactly the same setup as those pictures. I've made no upgrades, additions, or modifications whatsoever.

Building out that system took a lot of time, raw materials, and extra parts... throw it all together with a bit of trial and error and everything falls into place. I've had lots of PMs asking for tips and instructions about how to do the kind of wiring job I did. Every case is different, so there really isn't a way for me to say "go do this and that." But, if I could give one bit of advice I'd simply say don't settle for the easy way out. Doing it "right" sometimes means doing it the PITA way, but if you take your time and start over if you mess up it all turns out spiffy.

Before starting you need to have a plan, too. You need to know what you want out of the work or you'll wind up having to redo parts or settle for less than you'd hoped for. I drew out on paper all of the routing I wanted, then used yarn to measure the cable lengths before cutting, soldering, and heat shrinking.

If anyone has any specific questions drop me a PM or post here, I'll try to check back again in a few days to help anyone out that I can.

Post your "rate my cables" here

after seeing all the stackers in this thread i am thinking about ordering one for my new build in january. they have sooo much room and the wire managment looks like it would be pretty easy.

damn earm, i havent seen you on in a while, talk about rising from the dead :p

That one only comes with the Wavemaster, ATCs, and Praetorian. The only way you can get a window for the centurion is if you buy it with it.

Here is my WaveMaster Yellow Edition

Wiring and hard drives

Frontal photo

@ZooMex - you have pretty much everything writtin in your sig, except the HDDs ;)

I count 7  Details ?

Anarchy, yes you watch right. I have 7 hard disk:
1 Maxtor SATA 160 Gb (C)
4 Maxtor IDE 160 Gb (D, E, F & G)
2 Seagate IDE 80 Gb (H & I)

All hard drive are 7200 rpm.

Now I add a CoolDrive 4 to semireplace Aerocool CoolPanel that died to 50%, only work the multicard reader, 2 USB 2.0 Ports, 1 Firewire 1394 Port, and the frontal audio ports. The 2 knobs controller rpm of two fan and the led monitor for monitoring the temp was burning I bad connect the power cable and caput!!!
With the CoolDrive 4 now I take control of 4 fans, 1 Thermaltake smartfan 92 mm translucent for XP90, 1 Thermaltake smartfan II 80 mm as top fan, 1 Delta Sensflow 80 mm as rear fan and the CoolerMaster Hard Drive Fan 40 mm.

My max temp for now (at 3:33 am) was for CPU 45°C.

I add a new photo of the frontal case with my new CoolDrive 4.

Hey Anarchy, just a few Q's:

1. That's an Aquatube on the top, right?
2. Ever thought of watercooling that card?

Zoomex, might wanna try swapping the round cables for flat cables, for great airflow (and justice)

Bbq because you believe that it should change the round cables for plane or flat cables??

The flat ones. They wire manage a lot better than round, you can tuck them everywhere that the rounded cables can't go, and you get better airflow.

It still looks great, especially with 7 drives. It's always hard to stuff a ton of drives and still have it look nice.
