Since you live so close to SNT why don't you just go over to SNT and pickup what he has and he can refund the balance in person. His site says he does pickups by appointment so it shouldn't be a problem.

It's about 15 miles as the crow flies. He's across the bay, and I'm working long hours in the opposite direction. Traffic sucks, gas is high, time is at a premium, and I already paid for shipping, so I don't mind. ;)

[music: Bond: Hungarian]

Just e-mail Wes at Sharka what you want or call him at the phone number listed at the site. You can call and leave a message in the middle of the night if you want to. He was busy doing web pages last time I saw him so I would expect that the other stuff will be up on the site by tomorrow evening.

There were lots of Aquatubes, Aquabay AT's, Aquastream's, Aquaero's, 1046 size FMJ's, plus a ton of other support type stuff when I left there at 1930 PST. Between R1ckCa1n and myself we demolished quite a bit of the P&C straight fittings, but don't worry as more fittings will be there in a few days. Made me feel like I just shot the wad on the crap table in LV, but at least I got to take home a 35 lb box of toys

The best part of today's transaction was that I didn't have to pay anything until I picked up the goods from Sharka. The bad part was that I forgot to order a couple of things. However, the good thing is that another order is being put together tomorrow and should be shipped sometime next week. This shipment was cleared though US Customs in about 24 hours as expected so I don't think Sharka will be having any kind of those problems in the future.

I have been considering getting some of those AquagraFX 6800 Rev 2 coolers as they are still good in stock over in Europe, but I am still wrestling with whether I want to go that way or do the Twinplex route. My Silver XT should be here next week as it has been a couple of weeks since I ordered it. If I go the Twinplex route then I think I will order the Silver Twinplexes to match my XT. Too many decisions and so little time...

I'm not absolutely sure what is coming in next week, but I do know that about 20 Cuplex XT's, some ATi 800/850 and 6800 rev 2 AquagraFX, colored Aquatubes, more Aquabay AT's, the Twinplex's, 160 grills, flow meters, temp probes, and a slew of the 360 grills are making it across the pond along with some more support type stuff. If you want anything special all you have to do is call Wes and he will see what he can do to get what you want as fast as he possibly can :)

Got to get busy with the camera or maybe I just should go to bed early....one Aquaero...two Aquaero's...three Aquauero's....four Aquaero's z.z.z.... ;)

One thing you guys can look forward to in the near future is some decent reviews of A-C gear here in the good old USA. Sharka knows how to make this kind of stuff happen. :D

It appears that my brother's camera has seen better days. I suppose I'm going to have to go get me another Nikon CoolPix 5400.

Since I have a Cuplex Silver XT coming next week I think I will take this one and use it with my EXOS :p

Does anyone know how the hell you go about paying Aquacomputer if you want to order anything from them directly? IVe just had to ask them to cancel an order i put through accidentally, trying to find out the shipping costs, so id rather not just go madly clicking around again.

I feel pretty bad considering ordering from them direct since ive had a hell of a lot of help from Graeme at kustompcs, but since the price difference is around £50 assuming the shipping isnt insane, id be daft not to.

Also, as far as the papst fans supplied with the HIgh-End 360 kit go, how loud are they? madly so? or are they pretty quiet?

I assume the Aquero software runs a backgroud task that runs in your taskbar if you want to use the monitoring software. Can you use it just from the front panel only so you don't have to run a background task? What functions can't you control from the front panel that you can from the software?

If A-C sells Papst fans for their units you can fairly well assume that as their profile is for quiet performing computers. As far as pricing I have no clue, but 50 pounds seems like a healthy chunk of change unless you are talking a 500-1,000 pound order and then it is negligible when you include the service. Keep in mind that the VAT in the UK are higher than the VAT in Germany, yes? So that would account for some of it. Also does A-C ship to the UK? I think you would have to get it from A-C Berlin, IT-Trade, or another retailer.

I think A-C Berlin only takes Wire transfers though who really knows because I don't read German ;) I think if you add in the true VAT, the shipping, and import taxes you might not be too far off base.

Yeah... best I could do with the camera in my Treo 650....... I will post some deluxe versions this weekend. I start the equipment removal today and should have her up and running this weekend.

Did you already get the V1200 case? And IIRC you better be done soon....

The Aquaero software can be run in the system tray as a background item. You can also access all functions via the visual display on the front panel as well AFAIK. Perhaps Shoggy could pipe in here :)

BTW, this unit is so beauuuutiful you wouldn't believe it! Solid metal construction with threaded bushings pressed into the chassis for mounting. Entirely made from surface mount components and no QC issues that I can see with a 10 x loupe. :D Good job Aqua Computer!

That fact that you dont have to scroll through everything ( panel ) and just point and click on the software is awesome. I have all my fans set to progressive on my temp sensors , keep my room cold and its dead quite then if i leave it on for awhile or over night it will turn the fans up just alittle not to full output.

You can do the same things from both the panel and software but running things from your desktop is so much easier.

Really? They used to use socket head cap screw + nut to hold the aquaero in the drivebay. This is a great improvement that I wish i had...

The Aquaero has it's own "operating system" and and a connection to the pc isn't mandatory.
The current version of the software should not run in the background because it may slow down your pc in a noticeable way. This version is also very old and a lot of new features can't be conntrolled with it. It could be possible that you will have to do some settings directly on the aquaero - depends on your needs.

Hopefully the new Aquasuite will be better just because of the fact that it will have some handy features for using this software as an background task.

where can you get these nickel plated 10mm ID barbs in bent/elbows for the aquatube and possibly the aquasteam? I might need 10mm ID elbows for both the aquastream and aquatube in order to fit them into the aquabay. Also elbow 10mm ID barbs for my Airplex Evo might be necessary.
Sharka and SNT-Systems both carry the required "plug n cool" connectors.

Do you have any idea when we can expect this Aqua Suite software?

BARBS, not plug and cools heh.

You can't. As for as I know, I've only seen bent barbs in nylon/plastic. Since 'ben't usually means 'flow killer', they're not going to be popular here, and since barbs aren't the popular choice in Europe, they probably won't make any.

AC does ship to the UK. There's a thread on AC's forum, and a guy in the UK was told that it's usually about 7 Euros to ship to him. That's about $12. I had an idea of finding some one in the UK to buy soem stuff, then ship to me, but that ended up getting a bit costly.

I got one logo from SNT and one from Wizard Designs.

I wonder why A-C sells to England if they are setting up distribution and retailers there? Seems counterproductive and counter intuitive  Are you taking about A-C Berlin or A-C factory direct?

I guess I will have to get Wes to look into the logo badge! Though not sure whether I would want to take my Lian-Li badge off my case. ;)

i ordered from AC to UK once, its so expensive to ship from UK to other country, also you have to pay TAX too
4 weeks ago i ordered from the UK distrubutor, the parcel was sent 3 and a half weeks ago, and 2 days ago i asked for a refund becoz the parcel was lost

Just the A-C logo badge. Where did it come from?
The badges are part of the kits. You could also get them for free if you pay the postage for a letter.

And date for the Aquasuite or new firmware... - no idea.

Can't when I got it, but it came from one of my orders at SNT-Systems. Looks pretty cool doesn't it? :p

R1ckCa1n that is a sweet lookin' block bro. What do your temps look like? I wonder how it compares to the Cuplex Pro?

Shoggy do you know if there are any comparisons between the XT and the Pro? I wonder if AC has released a block to Watercoolplanet.de for comparison testing?

I'm looking for a reason to swap out my Pro for the XT if you can't tell. I'm challenged by the old "If it ain't broke...don't fix it" cliché. ;)
