I have been using the barbs for a good two months with no problems, and I use tygon tubing as well. The 3/8" ID with 1/16" wall works very well.

Yeah, my 3/8" ID tygon grips the 10mm barbs with no problem, I have worm drive clamps on there but probably could get away without them...it's always nice to have a few precautions though..

I hope y'all don't think I'm jacking this thread with a discussion about my wants/needs but, unless I hear differently, I'm thinking my questions are OT. So here's another one: :)

You don't know how many times I've filled up a cart at SNT over the past week just to wind up back here with more questions. It typically goes like this:

"but I _know_ I want the Aquatube so I should go ahead and get at least that"

"ok, so do I need 10mm barb or quick connects, clear mounting or brushed alum........"

Anyway, the Aquatube is, a Res so...

How do you fill it if you are going to mount it front facing? It's my understanding that the top/front acrylic thing comes off, you fill it up then screw it back on.

Do I just hold it upright till it bleeds then screw it back on and mount it?

Edit: Alternatively I guess I could mount it then use one of the not need holes to attach a temporary hose to use as a fillport so-to-speak.

Hmm...

LOL..... I did the same thing for almost a month. File the basket, talk to Dan, change the basket, empty, and start over.

Well it's good to see that I'm not the only one that fills a cart online, does more research only to empty the cart and start over.

Just tilt your case on its I/O (rear) and remove the plexi window to fill with water, you may have to do this several times depending how you have your system setup and if you have the Aquajet installed or not since it will spray back at you if you dont have the window securely fastened to the 'Tube.

By the way, you are not "jacking" this thread, this is on topic. :)

Someday I might have pics of my Aqua Computer setup. Soon, I'll be moving my Airplex Evo 240 radiator off the top of my PC-71 and into the bottom hard drive chamber of my new v2000b. I cut a 120mm hole in the top for the Aquatube and it will have a jet and a UV LED. I'll put my primarly Raptor into a blue Aquadrive HDD cooler (heavy and oh so sweet HDD cooler and silencer). I still want another HDD block, but I'm not sure if I will buy another Aquadrive or one of those Silenstar water cooled enclosures. Other hardware will be a Cuplex Pro for now, and when I get my dual PCI-E SLI ready board I'll probably use my Cuplex EVO on the AMD64 that should go with it. Currently I have a Radeon 9800XT with an AlphaCool GPX and RAM sinks, that will be replaced by Aqua Computer AquagraNV (not sure how the model name flies on that one) all in one blocks, and another for the SLI'd card. Other blocks will include an AC Twinplex for my chipset. Plug and Cools rock, I've tugged on them and hard I've tugged, but they still continue to resist my tugging. TUG TUG TUG!!!

All of my stuff (I've spent LOTS!!!!) was purchased at SNT too.

The PC-71 will house a P3 Tualatin CPU OC'd to 1.4GHz with a Cuplex 1.3 on an Asus TUSL2, an Airplex Evo 120, no block for my dual Voodoo 2's (Canopus Pure 3D 2's!!) or my Diamond Viper TNT2 Ultra, and a single 3.5mm HDD block for the hell of it. Plug&Cools of course. It's the souped up rig I always wanted in college but was always too broke to afford. Now I've built it!!!

Found some of the Lian-Li PC6070b for $171 Shipped. The next lowest was $174 and then $200. If you can work a better deal I need to go ahead and start buying some of the water cooling stuff I am going to need to start my endevor into the water world. If you could hit me up with an email at chris.kniseley @gmail.com I would REALLY appreciate it. I have some questions about what I am wanting to do and you would be the best person to talk to since I plan on going with the aqua computer stuffs. Thanks!!

the case is great if not a little small to work with, its very silent as it comes with padding in the panels, and crappy slow wannabe fan's(note that i like silence, but the fans just suck) and i hate that it only comes with 1 exhaust fan, you can drill the second one though, and the front panel doesnt have the switch that the other lian li's have to control the fans, other than that is a perfect case:)

quality wise i have never owned anything better, case wise. :)

Fallguy: Welcome back ^_^

Dan: Hey in that video you took of your aquatube.... what the HE11 is that loud friggin roar in the background. Please tell me that isn't your computer lol. Sounds like an idoling truck or something lol. (if it IS your computer, pleast tell me your mic is REALLY REALLY REALLY sensative. I'd die if it was that loud. >.<)

I had my finger over the mic cause I still dont know how to turn the mic off for video recording. My finger slipped a few times so that may have been the noise you heard. Other than that it was probably CS: Source playing over the speakers.

I'll post more comments when I get back home.

ShoNuff, please post more pictures ;) That triple rad is so awesome on that case - it'd like to see more of a side and front few on it and how things are fitting on inside it ... And if your running a system on it already what are your temps ?

Nice, very nice

That looks great, ShoNuff.

Quick question -- I too am considering a aqua computer setup in a Lian-Li V series case. But doesn't the upside-down aspect of the case cause trouble? It seems to me that a radiator + fan combo would at a minimum block out the use of at least 2 or 3 pci slots on the motherboard.

Any insights to how you got around this would be greatly appreciated!

I'll check into the pricing of the PC6070 over the next few days and try to get you a quote on the price plus shipping if I can beat the $171. Were you interested in the black or the silver version? I'll be available all day for the remaining 2 days of this week so we may be able to discuss what you are looking for in a water cooling system.

Thanks for the compliments. When the rest of my things come in I will post more pics and many more details.

With this rad you do lose two PCI slots the way I have it configured. Since I only have the vid and sound card it was no problem. Another alternative would be mounting the rad outside and on top of the case. AC makes a nice external mounting bracket. I started out this way but decided against it.

As soon as Dan disassembles Sick Rig 001 and sends me his Aquero and Aquastream I'll be able to test my temps. ;)

Fat chance but I still love you :D

BTW, awesome pics of the radiator/fans, how I love those LEDs shining through.

Oh man Sho, nice setup there. That really gave me and idea on placing the tube, but I sort of need to stuff my rad in the HDD compartment because I still have 3 PCI cards :( Are those 3 green LED fans CRE Air ones, or are they something else? Reason I ask is my green Cre Air fan has a funny not-so-green glow and is pretty loud at 40dba.

Is it the clear polycarbonate Aquatube mounting bracket that you are thinking about? I just sent one out to "Pooky" in the 120mm fan mount trim and apparently he liked what he got. If you had an idea for a custom mount I can make one too. I've also done a bracket that completely covers the 3 x 3.5" drive bays on the Lian-Li cases because the original bracket doesnt completely cover them. Im probably giving you more than you want to concern yourself with anyways so I'll just shutup now. :p

-Dan

The polycarb bracket was expertly made and well, fits in with any other Aqua Computer product quite well.

Dan, just how big of a "bracket" can you make? I've got an idea but the place I was going to use for the metal one is going to be a bit more than I want to spend.

Thanks Bro. The fans are the Crystal LED fans. We are probably talking about the same thing b/c they are rated at 39 db's also. I've tested them at 5 and 7 volts and they're pretty quite. The green glow is consistant among the three fans and I am pleased with the other Crystal fans I have owned in the past.

If you mounted a Evo 360 on top you could use the external brackets from SNT and a combination of "Modders Mesh." That would look sweet. When I upgrade and need the space taken by the rad I am going to mount my rad as desrcribed above.

I got the fans here.

Looking for a black one. As far as the water cooling goes I was looking at your High end starter kit. I need to add a waterblock for my p4, 6800 ultra, and a block for the chipset on the mb. Would like to add the water jet as well...thats just pimp

Since I now know I have to look into a black one I'll do that for you on Monday. Its an awesome choice for a water cooling case. :)

i couldnt agree more, i will have some pics of mine soon ;)

I had a black one some time ago but sold it. I was going to buy a full tower version but ended up with a silver PC-7077 with all 5.25 bays instead. Then I decided to move my main computer and water into a V2000 black from a PC-71. Now I have three full tower Lian Li cases sitting behind me :D

Mr. SNT is making me a bracket that will snap into 6 or 7 5.25 bays Lian Li drive cover style with dual 120mm holes for a double rad. That is going to be pretty damn spiffy. It's also going to be made of polycarb. This means I'll need a triple rad sometime soon.

First off, did you make sure he knows to give the discount? My 10% off works perfectly, but I had to chat with Dan to let him know I wanted it. Second, the US raised the "terror alert" security level to "orange", meaing customs is taking super long letting things through. The big shipment he was expecting has been held for a while now, when it goes through, he'll have the goods.

I should have the radiator and fan grill combo soon as those items are in transit to the US. You also have to have to tell what account name you have so I can give you the discount. PM me...

Are their any english reviews on the Cuplex Evo Revision 1.1? I'm wondering how it stacks up against american cpu blocks.

Im not currently aware of any English review of the Cuplex Evo and how it compares to other blocks. I am only aware of the customer feedback of those who own the block. Im sure someone else will post an answer to your question as there are a few people who post here at [H] who do own this block. I use it on one of my machines but I dont have direct comparison testing and besides, I would not like to run the risk of being labeled as "Biased" since I'm a retailer of the product. It originally grabbed my attention to Aqua-Computer and I havent been dissapointed. Take care! :)

I only lost 1-2c when I switched from a WhiteWater / Pro Radiator configuration to the Cuplix Evo 1.1 and added more blocks in the loop. The deal is I can run quiter with more blocks and maintain the same overclock witht he Evo 1.1.

I had a small performance gain, but I switched to the Cuplex EVO from a Dtek TC-4. I also now have a dual radiator with 2 Vantec Stealth fans running at 12v.

Ouch.. that must be LOUD, but not louder than Giblit Plus's. :p

:p At first I didn't get it and was more like "uh, wtf..." When I mod and move everything into the v2000 I'll be switching to Thermaltake high performance 120's with 34 dba and an 80 CFM flow. The Stealths have 53 CFM.

Question for nt|Mods, are you going to get the Alphacool Silentstar HD-Dual active hard disk cooling system? I have looked all over the internet (google must hate me), and have yet to see any retailers in the US with this item. I know you have the AquaDrive, but that only works for 1 hard drive, and I'm interested in the Dual HD solution. If you are getting some in, what would the price be on one?

Thanks for the info.

Up until recently there was a listing @ $110. A single was $80. I Don't know what happned though, I was interested in buying the dual as well. I do have an AquaDrive and it is quite nice, but the price is pushing it a bit and I'm not planning to buy another unless I win the lottery.

Thank's for the info Pooky, now if the Silentstar HD-Dual can cool 15k Scsi drives like the Aquadrive, I'd pick up one today (if SNT would get them in anyway). Hopefully, they are backordered or something.

It very well could be, I noticed the same thing happened to quite a few of AlphaCools blocks, but when they were re-listed they all had price drops.
