Actually I thought about it and will have to use a boxen for scale so you guys have some form of reference :)

Well apparently I have teh toughest grass on the planet. I need to find something different to use. On the funny side I got a call from my wife who was a little worried that I was "trying to contact the aliens" on our front lawn :) when she got home before I did
 
try cheap weed eater and soak the cardboard in it and lay it out. cheap weed eater will kill the grass too. or gasoline...............
 
Bleah. Basement too damned hot. I'm melting, but the boxen seem to be sterner stuff.

The lawn kill [H] idea is great! Come the end of August, I'll be renovating what supposedly is my front yard, but which is actually the weed thug hangout for the neighborhood. Renovation will begin by letting the greenery grow for about a week, then a saturation bombing with Roundup to nuke everything the mower can see. :eek:

I think I'll modify the first bomb run to a more eye-pleasing geometrical shape... :D

Whaddya think? 75' x 60' canvas, not counting the wife's small flower patch near the porch.
 
Well after talking to the aliens for a bit I think I will try again tomorrow. I am not trying to permenantly kill the grass in my yard (I am currently trying to sell the house) :) just something fun to do when it is too damn hot to actually do anything else. 2 more CPUs up tonight and waiting on my Dual Xeon 3Ghz to get here (should be here Friday I am hoping) so it can start heating up my office even more

Why don't you just let it grow for a while, and when it needs to be mowed, mow a big "[H]" in it? That would be friendly on the grass and it would still be awesome.

 
Hmm will have to do that at the new house (I don't cut the grass at the current house I pay someone to do it) maybe this weekend as teh grass there is about a foot tall from it being too hot to accomplish anything outside
