I don't know if someone else has already mentioned it, but did anyone else who is familiar with the MechWarrior/BattleTech series look at the map included with the game and notice something familiar? There's a number of planets on there named the same as major planets from BattleTech. The 2 that stick out in my mind right now is Luthien (in BT it's the capital of the Kuritan Empire), Eridani, and Capella (which may or may not be in BattleTech, I can't remember). I just thought it was rather odd.
Anyone here care to help me find out how to search for 2v2 ranked matches? All i'm getting into are 1v1's? Help?
On the plus side I've won 2 so far. Out of 5, eventually I'll run out of uber noobs and be destroyed by semi noobs.
Can anyone tell me where on the bonus DVD i can find the 'video tutorials'?

Mavor: Because T3 artillery just isn't T4 artillery
Mavor: When T3 artillery just wont reach
Mavor: Because the enemy base is farther than I feel traveling
Mavor: Because strategic missile defense systems work as intended
Mavor: When size does matter
Mavor: Because that resource farm is just so inviting
Mavor: Because gunpowder is cheap

Luthien (Luthien Tunieval) is the name of the elven princess in the story Aragorn tells (or rather sings) to the Hobbits on their way to Rivendell. The name comes up a couple times in the books because in the story, Luthien eventually wedded Beren, a mortal, after he embarked on a great task to try to win the approval of Luthein's father, and so Aragorn sees parallels between that story and his own.
The Tale of Beren and Luthien is probably the single longest tale in the Silmarillion, a book that is mostly a compilation of mythology by Tolkien, and probably the most interesting (although to most the Silmarillion is quite a chore to get through).
Yea, I know it's kind of sad I know this stuff. I'm a thorough reader and do a lot of it (yay, geek) so I know this kind of thing.

Does this game really require 8 gigs of space? I'm going to be installing it on my MacBook pro and my windows partition doesn't have nearly that much space avaliable![]()
I only partitioned it for 15gigs since all I do on windows is play BF2 and now hopefully Supreme Commander.
This game could potentially end my marriage.
This game could potentially end my marriage.
I have not touched it since.
That's only because you are still at work, right?![]()

I love this game, I just installed an played the first campaign mission. It was enticing and I have a 2nd monitor to use too. Oh, I forced myself to stop otherwise Id still be playing for the next couple hours. Im playing on an out-of-date system and everything runs SLOW. I wish the tax return checks would hurry up, I need a new system.
My only gripe is when I try to scroll the screen to the right, my mouse goes straight to the monitor, I haven't figured out how to scroll all around with dual monitors yet.
scroll? like, to the side?
Why would you want to do that?
(dual monitors has a HUGE performance hit, FYI)
