Despise change for no benefit except a tacky web 2.0 gradients/glossy button "update". If it ain't broke and so on. It' not the biggest deal, but forcing us to use this cluttered, messy crap when all steam's really about is keeping your game launchers in one place is a bit daft.
See above. I have 7 and like it fine, your conjecture amounts to nothing more than a swing and a miss. My objection with this is that it is awful. For no reason. No reason for it to be shit, but they went ahead and did it anyway. I don't understand why they went from having a legible, informative store tab, a legible, well-laid out games tab and a useful overlay and community page to the same thing with extra clutter, big oul' buttons and a visual overhaul by a seventeen year old kid on a work placement is of benefit to anyone.
Someone tell me what this offers that Steam didn't already, and do your best to keep your embarassing Ragenrok/brucedeluxe-style keyboard-mashing to the minimum. Some real, considered, well-articulated reasons, if you've any.
Wow man. If you can't deal with the new interface I think there's something else going on here.
Here's a challenge: Become fluent enough with the new interface to launch your games, purchase new games, and chat with friends.
Can't do that? I think there's something else wrong aside from this interface.
