im not bitching about it at all, im not a hater, i just wanted to see if anyone else has zero interest in the game. And I will not support a company that doesnt allow dedicated servers and i have never nor will i ever play mw2
 
ill be picking up on my Collectors 10am Tues woot.. sadly my store isnt doing the midnight release ; (
 
My store clerk said hardly anyone preordered from that store (I live in the ghetto, so the only thing my store sells is copies of Madden, NBA, Grand Theft Auto, and CoD) I wasn't even sure if they still sold PC games there. Hooray for being one of the only folks there. Perhaps I'll get lucky and win some shit.

Yea I'm also thinking about going to a midnight release and also to grab some swag maybe, or even try to buy a CE instead. The Bestbuy 20 mins away is doing a fairly large launch party starting at 9, oh well still some hours left to decide.
 
i want the collector's edition so bad but they said they won't have any extras, I hope the guy is wrong and they get a couple that are not accounted for.
 
I stopped in best buy when I was driving right by it this morning. They aren't doing a midnight release. I asked about pre-ordering the CE, but you pick your edition when you come pick it up. They insured they have loads of copies of the CE ready. I skipped putting $5 down, because I'll try my luck at Walmart at midnight.

I think the big stores will have plenty of them to go around.

I'd go that route as well save for two things.

1. I preordered at GS to get the beta key.
2. I've been to my local Wal*Mart and I don't trust that mouth-breathing brain-trust of employees there to get the game out to me at 12:01 on the dot.
 
My night has been just smooth. I've been watching Day9's great launch event live stream - great collection of cool casts, interviews and stuff in general. About 1 hour before the american midnight, my copy arrives in the door, and though waiting a while to start the install, it was finished the moment Idra beat Tester in the final tournament :)
 
been playing for a while, did some of the campaign, then did the basic and expert challenges. I am so close to getting gold, I lost 11 guys and need 10 for gold :/ Did the last expert one and it was pretty easy. Nothing too terribly difficult. Been playing on Brutal difficulty and ya I did have to restart a couple of times because I would lose too many guys, but overall it's been fun.
 
About to go pick up mine in an hour. The gamestop on base doesn't open until 9AM. I also work nights, so midnight release was not an option unfortunately. :(
 
Marathon'ed the entire campaign on Normal yesterday while the forums were down. It was pretty good, but a lot shorter than I expected. Short as in, not a lot went on during all the missions. It was primarily a single objective throughout the main campaign. The last stage of the Protoss mini campaign was probably the peak of its epicness though. It was awesome! Still missing a hidden mission somewhere.

With my awesome luck, my 8800 GTX died shortly after I started playing and had to resort to a crappy lappy most of the time. Just got my GTX 460 from Newegg today and it's running in my system right now. :D
 
I got mine yesterday, which was a nice surprise. I ordered it off Gamestop online with the free shipping. Figured it would take a day or two to arrive, but nope. There nice and early on the 27th :) I haven't done much with the multiplayer yet, but I played it in the beta and knew its solid. I am loving the single player campaign so far. Has sort of a Wing Commander feel to it.

hahaha. that mission was something different. most of the missions in the beginning are actually fun.

i love the cutscenes! blizzard did a great job on the presentation on this game. i think im staying away from online multiplayer for a while, don't want to get beat down and lose interest in the game, hahaha.
 
Just started playing. On 3rd mission. I have 1 complaint so far. "Let me zoom the fuck out!!!!"

Seriously, why the hell is the camera so damn close?
 
The game is pretty good still, just that one annoyance. Hopefully no more probs.
 
I did'nt buy the game. I really did not like the first Starcraft or any of the Warcraft games. I guess I just don't like Blizzards RTS games. Puts me in the minority. I'm more of a Rise of Nations, Empire Earth, Company of Heroes guy.
I also don't play the campaigns in RTS games. Never liked them.

What I usually do is just load up a custom map and play against the computer. Can you still do that in SC2? If so I may buy it and give it a chance.
Sometimes I play against friends but mostly just a map against the computer.

It's excluding Korea. Like as in the opposite of including. People mention Korea when talking about SC because it's a national sport over there.
 
I'm having a weird issue. With Crossfire enabled some of my units and mineral patches are invisible. Makes the game tough to play.

Anyone know how to fix this without disabling Crossfire?
 
Fuck I bought mine Tuesday and my computer crapped out yesterday. Haven't even gotten to play though... tonight after I get windows installed on my new rig though. :D

catalyst 10.7 sucked really bad for my brother with his 4870x2.. would get 40fps no matter what... went back to 10.4 and everything is great
 
I am really loving this game. The missions are varied and interesting.

I am really liking the cinematics.

***Possible spoiler***

Being able to see the fall of Tarsonis via a cut scene, and not a bunch of sprite units (like in starcraft 1) was amazing.
 
I really enjoyed the cut-scenes in SC2, very very high quality :) I just wish I didn't have to login to battle net just to play a single mission. Slightly annoying.
