Skimlinks tracking Hardforum users?

Being bothered - as I am - by online tracking, I recently installed the "Do Not Track Plus" addon for Chrome.

It informed me that skimlinks (a company that builds profiles on individuals and then sells that information to others) is tracking me (or was tracking me) on the hardforums.

That's pretty sketchy.

Is this something that the [H] is aware of?

(Also, Google Analytics and AdSense are also tracking users on here, but I am more comfortable with that... At least I have a good understanding what my data is being used for)
 
Yes, Skimlinks knows where you are at all times. I think they are looking in your window this very minute.

Some old code on the page that I will pull off now, but it does not track you in any way, shape, or form.
 
Hey, what if I get lost? Wouldn't it be a good thing if I had been tracked then and they knew where I was? :p
