Being 18 and not having even close to as nice of a setup as you, I envy you :D Kudos for paying for all of the electronic stuff yourself. For some reason it just feels a heck of a lot more rewarding when you pay for it yourself.

Out of curiosity, what monitor and TV do you have in there? How do you like the TV? I need to overhaul my room eventually, or maybe even move to the basement for my college years. This 27" Sharp insanely heavy brick-like CRT TV needs to be moved...I need to buy an LCD to experience my 360 in sheer Hi-Def brilliance. I was looking at either a Sharp or a Samsung, but I have no idea...

I guess first getting a job might be a good idea :D

Does everyone game on their dinovo edge? I feel like mine's too fragile for hard core gaming, so when I game, I switch with my Dell wired keyboard :D

As requested here is my background. The resolution is 1920 x 1080. It fits exactly on the 37" 1080p monitor.

My Dinovo Edge keyboard is great for games. How do you define "hard core" gaming and how would the Edge be too fragile for it?

If you need to lay fists down on it in anger, it doesn't look like it'd hold up to it if its anything like the Dinovo MD Laser keyboards. Assuming its about the same build, its durable enough, decent enough strength for a 'laptop keyboard'. I've played with some laptops that feel a lot stronger, but the Dinovo's are plenty good as long as you don't expect to be able to beat it unnecessarily.

Hey there, my tv is a Samsung LE26R87BDX. its a very good all round tv, its top notch for blu ray/gaming whatever you throw at it really. It cost me £460 (about $900) and ive been happy with it from day one.

The monitor is the LG L204WT, its only 20.5 inches, but it does 1680x1050.
I used to use it for my 360 via VGA, as it gained good reviews for being a gaming monitor!

the monitor cost me £200 = $400

I also have an LG204WT, it's quite cheap nowadays. I've seen them in the store for $225.

No complaints so far.

I went from a single Sony FW900 CRT monitor to these 2 giant LCDs.

These LCDs are more crisp and clear with the text...that's a given with LCD technology.

Bad points...not really any.

There are 3 in this category of 30" monitors that I know of:

Dell 3007WFP-HC
HP LP3065
Samsung 305T

From reviews I read, Samgsung was the choice for me.
 
Moved into my new place here at school and decided to kind of redo the desk setup. Computer is on the floor on the right next to the desk (not pictured).

Among other things, that's definitely something I've taken away from this thread: I need a furniture upgrade of sorts.
 
The monitor would be a Viewsonic... Model number shown under the IOMan

I got it over the Samsung 204bw Because it consumes 50% less ... Same specs...

I did sacrifice the height adjustment ... but i don't think i need it.

Um,
1) Speakers mounted to ceiling, see the hole, with the wire going into it?

2) The angle is good and he hid most of the wires behind the plate under the desk.

3) Look along the wall, there's a wire running on the ground.

But, it's dam good and better than mine! =)


ZJamaican, can we get a under desk shot?
