Show Your LCD(s) setups!!!

well, 5 minutes spent on tidying the cables would have helped lots, i guess not everyone bothers to put the time into it....

nead idea throwing picture frames around your monitors...would be cool if you could get picture frame bezels and your lcd bezels the same...nearly impossible though

geez why is everyone on the guys back? maybe he dosent care about his cables also if you look he dosent seem to have much room to push his couch any father back. sometimes you gotta live with what you have.

Exactly why he should need to clean up the cables even more. He's got a little space, so cable management would make it seem twice as big. Also, having a monitor balanced on cardboard is completely unnecessary. People give away old wood end tables, they aren't hard to find. However I do agree with the couch. I didn't get a 67 inch tv so I could sit far away and have it look relatively the same as my 22 inch monitor when I sit at my desk. I sit only about 7 feet from it instead so I get the feeling that its big. . . why go to a movie and sit in the back row?

I agree completely, First reaction was holy crap look at those cables, then was holy crap that couch is insanely close to the tv and so on

And I looked at that and thought '4 pc's... this guy crunch?' and then I was like 'This guy lives in a shoebox like me but he's dedicated much more floor space to really cool shit.'

At no point did I worry about the cables... except to think that if I had that room, and had a date over (which might be mutually exclusive), the screen would be so omnipresent that we would either have to be totally immersed, jointly, in whatever we were watching... or emulating porn.

What does this room say about our increasing compartmentalization as it affects voyeurism?

I like the wallpaper, where'd you get it?

ill have to take some pictures later :D my 2xhf237 look nice on the wall side by side.

This might be a dumb question, but why do people buy 2 of the same monitor? Is it for aesthetics?

Wouldn't it be better to buy a 120Hz 24" monitor for gaming and combine it with a IPS 24" U2410 for normal work? Unless you game on both monitors I guess...

That wood case is all kinds of win. Did you build it yourself? More pics of it please.

While I suppose there might be some functional reasons not to, I think having non-matching monitors side by side looks crappy. That is all. :p

Because we like having matching pairs!

I also hate the difference of color going from one monitor to a different one. you can try to calibrate it but it just doesn't always end up perfect.

I have two identical panel models and can't get the color calibrated...makes me sad. :(

We're getting ready to move, and I've got stuff on some temporary furniture in the mean time, but I think it worked out pretty well for a folding table and some crappy plastic shelf. :p

Beggars cant be choosers, and I'd like you to try to get hold of the LG L245WP's used, they're friggin hard to find. I dont mind as long as the vertical res is the same.

keyboard is a standard HP deal, with a mousetrapper advance thingie infront.

ive got 2 LG L246WP-BN that i might part with in the next month when i hopefully switch over to a new eyefinity setup....theyve both been through the refurb tumbler and they dont seemto colormatch, but i never tried any calibration either.

You realize the Z5500 sub puts out a rather strong magnetic field? I don't think I'd even put shielded electronics down on top of it. Especially not a f***ing tape deck. Wait... tape deck? Bro, it's 2010, not 1987!

lmao, it's not enough to mess with tapes that high above it. I've been working on transferring a lot of old audio recordings, note the records off to the right.

Anyway, I just nabbed a 42" lcd. They need to get that 6 port eyefinity card out soon. :(

Loving the portait monitor, not so sure about that grubby old CRT, whats with that?

It's a 15" lcd elo touchscreen damnit, LCD ELO TOUCHSCREEN

It was pulled from a photo kiosk. I plan to paint it glossy black but haven't gotten the chance.

If you notice, it is standing on a ergotron neoflex. A crt couldn't use one of those...

You aren't the first to make that assumption. I assume it's due to the size (small), shape (4:3), and color (white turning color). I need to paint it...

Here's mine, 2 x Doublesight 30" and 2 Dell 2007fpb's until I get the another 30" monitor.
